Steelers game vs. Raven at Lou's

This place is awesome! Walked in 10 minutes prior to the Steelers game and got a seat at the high top directly in front of the big screen showing the game. After ordering a beer and nachos the lady behind the bar noticed my shirt and put up the volume on the Steelers game. Very thoughtful while I enjoyed watching the game with my 14yo son. Queso, salsa and chips were a great snack while taking in the game. I appreciated the staff continually getting me beers and bringing extra chips so we could finish off the queso and salsa. This is a welcoming neighborhood type bar. Big fan!! 5 stars for sure.

A pretty decent place for drinks a nice hangout with friends. Centrally located in a shopping plaza on Park Rd. with free parking, this place offers great draft options and a pretty standard menu for a sports bar. My wife and I had a beer and the chicken wings, nthey they were good. We came here for a beer and to watch a game, not expecting too much of a culinary experience, and we were right. Staff is super friendly and helpful, and the vibe is nice with plenty of screens to watch your favorite team. Not too bad!

My friend and I were looking for a dog friendly bar to grab a early dinner. I know that Lucky Lou's has been around for a long time and I thought we would give it a try. I came in the door, everyone looked at me, no one greeted me, so after I stood there for a minute, I decided to go and get a table out on the patio. The bartender seemed particularly annoyed that she was going to have to wait on me and my friend. She was attentive, but was in no way personable. Her attitude and vibe was off the whole time. They do have a really nice patio and are very dog friendly, which is a big plus. I ordered the Cajun chicken, which was very bland. It really lacked any seasoning at all. The chicken did have seasoning, but not the sauce. The pasta was slightly overcooked. My friend enjoyed her mushroom Swiss burger, which was loaded with mushrooms. We were disappointed that they did not have hienz ketchup. The fries were hot and fresh, but not crispy. Overall, I wouldn't say that it was a great experience. Maybe we came too early in the day maybe I'll try it again sometime in the future.

Surprisingly very good food! It was my first time visiting, but I went with a regular who assured me it would be good. We were there on a week night and they had karaoke playing at one of the place and some pool tables in the back. He ordered wings and I had the chicken tenders and fries. We then shared the chocolate chip brownie sundae. That was definitely $8 well spent on that delicious dessert! Definitely stop in if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed.

If you're look for something to eat on a late night in the SouthPark area this is probably one of your best options. They do karaoke during the week and have games and a pool table in the back. It's very much a dive bar and the food was decent for a late night grab. The burger and nachos were good. The Alfredo left a lot to be desired. They did have a good menu listing and I'll try some more things the next time I come!

I wanted to take a picture of this amazing Ruben but it was 2 good & we were 2 hungry

Service was good and perfect bar /bar food at 11pm at night. We are from out of town and felt safe and welcomed ... The bouncer at the door was funny and a little sarcastic - the waiter had me laughing (prob the awesome margaritas helped make him extra funny lol) The Ruben sando was a 10.. the wings were pretty good and like I said - everything was comfortable

Lucky Lou's has gotten a whole new staff and the service is better than ever. They've totally changed up their menu and sadly removed my favorite thing, the black and blu salad. The new staff is great but I don't like the new policy that you have to put a card on hold when you sit down if you're going to be drinking. I understand the reasoning but I've been going there for so long I didn't think they would need to do that. They have karoke on Fridays and Saturdays that will entertain you for hours. People get really into it and the regulars all have their go to songs. I really like the new spinach dip they've added to the menu. It's a great appetizer to share. It's a fun atmosphere with great food and drinks. I've been going there for years and will continue to frequent this establishment!

Our table of four rolled up right before closing (15 min late to our reservation) and we were able to be seated with a gentle reminder that the kitchen would be closing soon (totally understandable). We were taken care of swiftly and didn't feel rushed at all (we tried to be considerate. We were one of two or three tables at this point of the night). I've had takeout from here before and liked it (one of the Thai dishes). My veggie sushi roll when I dined was perfect. Service was perfect. The only thing I wished for was a few more vegan options on the menu as I expect a little more variety at an Asian fusion restaurant. Cute front patio set up too, when al fresco dining is on the brain.

We went across the street and they didn't allow dogs on the patio so a quick Yelp search led us to Jack Beagles. With a dog in the name, I figured it would be dog friendly and I was right... it's event dog friendly inside which was great since we had the baby and it was hot out. They were happy to seat us in the dining room and since breakfast was about to end and lunch was about to start, we had the option of both. Some ordered breakfast and a few of us order the tenders because our server said it was one of the most popular items. I don't normally go for tenders at a new place, but they had garlic parm which drew me in. They were pretty great and served with waffle fries. My buddy got this massive burger that I was eyeing as well and I had a little bit of food envy when it came out. It was called The Big Bear and was sporting 2 Patties, 2 X Bacon, 2 x White American Cheese, Pickled Jalapeno, and Chipotle Aioli. I would definitely try that next time. Only odd thing was that when the burger came out, my buddy asked for a knife other than a butter knife to cut it since it was so big. Instead of offering to bring it to the kitchen to cut it, she came out from the back to say they don't have any steak knives and the only sharp ones are with the cook. No big deal, but a little odd. Anyway, we had a great lunch before hitting the road that accommodated all of our needs.

Our visit happened to be during Charlotte Hot Chicken Week so of course we had to try their special! For only $8 you could get the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It was really good! I loved how they choose to serve waffle fries over regular fries. There is just so much texture and flavor going on there. They have a big menu of mac and cheese dishes that sound super interesting so maybe we'll try that next!

We started with the deviled eggs, which were not too creamy and very well spiced. We then ordered cranberry mimosas, a chicken and waffle, an a veggie omelet. The cranberry mimosas were so fun because we got to make them ourselves! The chicken and waffle was ok- I requested gravy on the side but it certainly needed the sauce. The waffle was a little dry and the chicken was average. The veggie omelet was excellent and I enjoyed the fillings. I'm not a potato fan, but my friend enjoyed the potatoes. The biscuit was standard too but complemented the veggie omelet well. I'd say the star of the show were the fried French toast sticks- they were hot, sweet, and hit the spot perfectly.
