Greetings to all who would come to my store located in the SanBruno mini mall: Parking: This location has a shared parking experience which isn't bad, but can be a bit much at times due to the many other shops that use the same parking lot. The interior of the store has made Vast improvements over years, it's like every other year l come inside and the lighting is a bit different or has changed has been upgraded; good on them for this. The interior meat section is very clean and little to no working smells at all. (Fish - Beef ) I really enjoy coming to this location because of the Cleanliness and the abundance of fresh food items l can choose from. Service: the service is great and the customer service is great as well, one of the only things I didn't like was when they removed the Fresh orange juice machine; all else is good. Overall, if you shop in this area, then you already know how many Changes that this store has gone through to become what they are now. Bottom line: l will continue to keep coming back, l Like this location. read more

I must say, Lucky's has been cleaning up! Last few times I've been coming (daytime & nighttime), no characters out asking for money. Also haven't seen any homeless or other questionable characters inside the store - makes for a more pleasant and safe shopping time. Good job Lucky's San Bruno! This place has been around for a while. I don't go here often, so it takes a little longer for me to find what I need. The place itself is decent and clean. Be sure to double-check the expiration dates. Some products don't turn over as fast as others. You don't really see employees that work here. I only saw one or 2 when checking out. read more

Lucky - Grocery Near Me - San Bruno, California

This past Friday I drove over to Lucky San Bruno. I needed the use of my walker but only wanted to purchase a few items. When I returned to the checkout, there was only one cashier and the self-checkout was closed. The line grew to when I finally left, there were 25 people standing in line. I asked the cashier who was the manager. She told me his name was Patrick but he was on break. I asked her to page him. He never appeared, no were there any other employees aside from a bagger. I found the employee office. I saw one man and I said I wanted to speak to the manager. The man said he was the manager but was also eating. I asked him if he understood what was going on in his store and so many people waiting in line. He said two cashiers called in sick and he was on his lunch break and there was nothing he could do until he clocked back in after his break. Another costumer came into the office with the same complaints but again this Patrick said there was nothing he could do about it. In all my 50 years of costumer service, I had never witnessed anything like this. This manager is an extremely poor representative of your store under the flag ownership of Save Mart. If he had no cashiers why didn't he call and ask others workers to come in cover the shifts? Why didn't he call headquarters and report the situation. Why didn't he walk out and address all the customers standing in line. These costumers were furious and quite sure you lost costumer trust. I tried calling the Save Mart company phone number to talk to someone but after 20 minutes being on hold, I ended the call. This store managers attitude was that he really didn't care but was more focused on eating his lunch. I around 7pm emptied handed and witnessed several people walking out of the store. I truly hope someone will address what happened in your store to ensure it never happens again. read more

It's fine when it's not busy. However, nobody ever puts back the carts or the baskets in the designated spots. They will have ONE slow in-person checkout and have nobody manning the self-checkout (15-item limit). This is the slowest grocery store in the area. I decided that enough was enough when they had one in-person and one self-checkout open on a Sunday. Also, I have bought items that I later found out were expired. read more

I shopped at this supermarket for the first time today and it was a nightmare. When you first walk in it seems to be a nice store, very large and a good variety of groceries. Prior to coming to this store, I downloaded their app and clipped my coupons for a deal on some frozen shimp and a free item. However, as I was shopping I noticed that my coupons were not clipped so I clipped them while in the store. I decided to use the self checkout. At first, the scanner did not recognize my scan code which the app said to use at checkout. I then entered my phone number instead. I noticed that my coupons were not applied so I pushed the button to get assistance. Nobody came so I walked away to ask the guy at Customer Service for help. He came by and only cleared my flashing red light. I went over again and said I needed help. He eventually came over and voided everything in my purchase. He told me to load up my items back into my grocery cart. I thought he was going to assist me with the checkout so I just put my groceries on the staging platform. He then said he would manually check me out. I then loaded my groceries back into my cart. He scanned my personal code and was able to apply my 2 coupons. However, I had 2 items that needed to be weighed and because he didn't have a scale, he asked ME how much they were? I said I didn't know because I didn't know how much they weighed. He ultimately told me to name my price, which I did just to get out of there. He told me that I cannot use my scan code in the self checkout; it doesn't work. WTF? Needless to say, other shoppers were piling up while I was at the self checkout. This was a horrible experience! The app sucks, customer service is not very helpful, the self checkout isn't synched with my account with regard to identification and clipped coupons. Lucky is way behind in technology and customer service vs. other supermarkets like Safeway. read more

This review is specific to Manny who helped me out when I was trying to shop for cans of soup. Manny not only helped show me all the different places they were stockpiling the soups (front, end of aisles, etc), he also then recommended I utilize the Lucky App's coupons that gave me a significant discount. He then went above and beyond in helping me figure out an issue with the app when it wouldn't show me the discount. Absolutely the best customer service I've ever received. read more

Make sure you have an extra 30 minutes out of your day because that is how long you'll be standing in the check out line. Three times, the lone checker in the store got on the PA and asked for checkers and baggers to come up front - no one showed up. It's a lousy way to run a business. read more

i'm always able to easily find what I need. I like that Lucky's will carry similar products to other retail grocery stores, but will also have some more specialty items in stock as well. It's not always the cheapest place to shop but you get fresh, quality ingredients in return. They probably need to update their shopping carts as you can tell they're aged, but other than that, it's a pleasant experience to shop here. read more

Like another reviewer said there were problems with the app and using coupons/savings manager did not want to help or honor sale and gave us attitude even though it was not our fault the app was not working. Wanted me to stand there and call customer service for a few cobs of corn when he could've just helped us. I could already tell it was a ongoing issue as evidence by the pile of leftover corn at customer service. Would not go back ever :D read more

lots of parking, the store is clean and its spacious. But, Sale items come 9am Saturday Morning were mostly out of stock. If your unable to access the most basic sale items like Fruit, Paper Products, etc then it makes little sense to frequent a Lucky or Safeway, and instead why not just shop Trader Joe's given they normally stock popular items. Again stocking issues are not unique to this store but seem to be endemic to Safeway & Lucky. read more

I hope a manager from this store see this and recognizes her customer service She has an amazing smile even through her mask! She is so professional, friendly and makes a great sandwich. I ordered a veggie sandwich and most places just give you lettuce, tomatoes and onions, and not very much. She filled it up with all the veggies she had in her basket. My observations:- - Crowd. Weekends and Weekday evenings are most crowded. - Stock. They are generally good in restocking items. I have found out some produce to go out of stock by Sunday evening. - Quality Quality of produce is better than safeway and target. - Covid precautions. 1. No one in the store follows the 6 feet distance rule. They have markings on the floor for distancing but no one follows it. It get super crowded at times. 2. Regarding mask, everyone is asked to wear one mandatorily but no once checks it at the entrance. While I was shopping once a lady entered without a mask and was roaming freely till a worker noticed. Then the worker requested her to leave the store and come back with a mask. So they are taking precautions but not like other stores who checks masks and monitor the no of people in the store at one point(like traders joe) at the entrance. 3. They do have hand sanitizer at the entrance if you want to use it. - Price. 1. Produce section is of good quality and decent price. 2. Non produce is expensive here compared to stores like target and Walmart. And they don't offer good discounts like other stores. So I recommend going there for produce only. read more

I called this evening Jan 10 2025 at 6:30pm, Customer Service (Robert) joked and changed his voice three times to disguise it. I wanted to buy all of a certain Lipton tea in stock .........and I asked if he can hold it at the CS counter. Robert said he is going home and couldn't do that. I asked him if he can direct me to someone else that can. He said no he cannot - because he has to go. And he hung up on me. I called back and spoke to a Filipina with a heavy accent - she said she cannot check - I said I can give me phone number if someone will call me back tonight then I can pick up all they have in stock early 7am tomorrow Morning. She hung up on me. I called back a third time they hung on me again without saying anything and then a 4th time hung up on me without saying anything. very upsetting read more

If there is a zero star, I will give this to this location. Went here to buy cake and I asked this lady named Teresa in the bakery department some question and she was very upset, very impolite and very rude. She told me I should ask other employees not her because she's very busy with a very loud voice, and she gave me an angry look. Have always enjoyed shopping at Lucky's in the FC location but now that I work near this location I really wanted to have the same good experience. This was my third time and it has slowly gotten worse. Very bad customer service. You can't find anyone to help you in the aisle. Just left SB location for my third and last time. They charged me wrong for two digital couponed items. Was told to wait at customer service desk. No one came and after the clerk called on the speaker still no one came. Been coming here for years and not sure why I didn't write a review until now. Like how the store is nice and clean with a restroom in the front by the registers and one in the back towards the produce. I do not like the BBQ that blows smoke all over the parking lot and a what seems limited inventory. It is nice to have a store walking distance when hungry after shopping at LOWES. read more

What is wrong with this supermarket? Specifically, what is wrong with management here? Ive lived here almost 4 years and this is not a one off. They closed self checkout and relegate the checkout to only 1 singular line in the evenings. I literally left tonight to go to walgreens instead. Dont shop here. You're better off going to Target even if the selection is less. This staffing, check out problem doesnt exist there. OVERALL: I hadn't been to a Lucky before and was pretty impressed by this one. It's far out of my way, so I unfortunately won't make it my usual store. I found what I came for and then some. FOOD: This store has a ton of items. I found a new type of kombucha to try, the other type of tea I was looking for, and (sacred during these times) FLOUR. You could only take one bag of flour per household but they had it! On the downside, their produce seemed mediocre. I had to really search for quality peppers in the bin. I was also bummed I couldn't find a certain yogurt that I find at Safeway and Whole Foods (Chobani brand, so it seems popular). SPACE: This is a large store. There is also a large parking lot in front, so that's convenient. Overall it's clean but some shelves were stocked a bit messy. There were long lines so we did self check out. SERVICE: This was a low point. I did self check-out and it took forever because my machine kept saying there was an error...then it would disappear...then an error again...again and again and again. My light above kept blinking for help but no one every came to help. There was a self check out attendant but he was busy socializing. Eventually the last error went away and I was able to scan my last item and pay before it came back. read more

Don't go here their customer service is really bad. They need new management. Went in there couple of weeks ago and had to wait for almost 20minutes just to get help with their MoneyGram. The manager working in the morning sent one of the employees to tell me that she was busy with something. As soon as I saw who the manager was, I got mad because I had seen her walking up and down aisles doing NOTHING. I'm not one to post but she shouldn't be working there if she can't or will not do her job. I used to work at a grocery store and I would never make a customer wait more than 5min. Just saying. This Lucky, is a good luck location!! I randomly shop here from time to time, and I have to say, it's super clean, wide aisles, huge bakery dept., and they have an end-cap, dedicated to "Hostess!" OMG!! Their meat dept. is fantastic, with plenty of selections. By the way, this Lucky have a ton of "Asian" foods like durian for .99 cents a lb, and other tropical fruits from Southeast Asia. It was good to finally come back here considering the last time I was here was the early 2000's. There are been quite a bit of renovating and updating at this location which is much appreciated. When you step foot inside you are immediately able to see the spaciousness of this store. The aisles are big and there is plenty of room to move your cart up and down the aisles without having to run someone over. I also like that this particular location has a large produce section. In comparison to some of the other locations that I have been to this location seems to have a bit of a larger selection to choose from, kudos. Oh, there is also a good number of registers to go to for checkout which is nice. I'm not too sure how many they have open at a time but this is a plus in my book. Lastly, the parking lot is the BIGGEST plus. Just a good experience to go along with a fairly friendly staff as well. read more

They seem to have almost everything though some of the help is sluggish (where is it not now...)
