I bowl here all the time with my husband. Last year I joined a league which caused me to be there even more.... the staff is wonderful the snack bar is great ( could use more healthy choices but it is a bowling alley....) and the alley is clean... all that you could ask for!!! read more

I don't say this often, but if I could give less than one star, I would. Actually, I don't think I've ever said that. We used to come here quite often for the one dollar PBR special, so I called yesterday to see if I was still being offered. Joey answered the phone, and informed me that the PBR's are now five dollars. I've been inquired about pitchers and asked what size they were. Joey's exact response was I don't know man, why don't you go look it up. I honestly thought he was joking at this point so I repeated the question. He then hung up on me. I called back, Joey answered, I asked again how big the pitchers were, he hung up again. At this point I really just want to get someone else on the phone so I could explain the situation and get an answer. I called back a few more times and every time they would pick up and hang up on me without even saying hello or if they would say hello and immediately hang up once I responded. I gave up at this point because clearly we weren't going to get anywhere. At that point Joey called my phone back and told me they have called the police on me for harassment . I wasn't trying to be a problem, I really just want to know how big the pitchers are...college kid on a budget. I can't think of another time I've been so shocked by the customer service at a well-known establishment. Very disappointing. read more

I want to start by saying the lady that works in the bar tending area Sunday evenings is amazing. Blonde haired lady, she has amazing customer service is so nice and she is why I want to come back. On the opposite end, there is s really mean guy that works at the food section with red/orange hair. I have been here a couple of times and each time he has been extremely rude to me. He doesn't say hello or smile AT ALL. Doesn't greet me at all. I ask if I can order and he responds yes??? I ask for s menu item with Randy and he says uh yeah it comes with ranch... very serious and I say okay didn't know that? Also my card is with the bar, he doesn't respond. I say my name and I can't hear his response multiple times and he's offended I can't hear him or understand how this place works. Favorite bowling place! Cyber bowling is so cool and the whole entire place is really up to date with tablets to customize with photos of each player and the ability to change the design of the scoreboard. Music videos too! The pizza here is super good too! I've came here for the New Years events two years in a row now. Not a bad deal for $65 for the entire family (6 people, pizza, soda, party favors). The only bowling alley i go to. They could play better music though. They played too much older music on New Years. read more

Scummy as hell. Everything you touch feels greasy. This is what a bowling alley is supposed to be like. Only thing missing from my childhood is billowing cigarette smoke, which I honestly don't miss. Went on a Thursday for 50 cent night, but I can't confirm or deny about Tuesdays or Sundays. $5 gets you in, then it's 50 cents per game, mini beers, mini sodas, mini slices of pizza, and mini nachos. Man, this place is like walking into the 80s. I can't believe their computers at the lanes are still running! This is a great place for some no-frills bowling with decent prices. Their pizza is also really good and they have a full service bar which is nice. They do have a lot of leagues on certain nights and it can be hard to get a lane even before the league actually starts because they reserve the lanes which can be frustrating. They seem to run a lot of specials and coupons so make sure you take advantage of those. They also have a military discount and cosmic bowling on weekend nights. This place is horrible! Malfunctioning equipment, miserable staff, decor from the early 80s and did I say terrible staff. The lane conditions are the worst in Tucson by far. The one bright spot was the Free bar drinks from The bartender Jodi she told my husband she would give him half off as long as he tips her well. So at least that was good but other than that this place is the pits. If your not drinking go to Brunswick, Golden Pins or Bedrocks. read more

It's a bowling alley, same as all the rest. Outrageously expensive though. $60 for 2 adults and a two year old child to play 2 games w/ food and drinks. The bumpers for our lane were also broken on one side. Other bowling alleys in town wheee you get way more bang for the buck. read more

One of the worst experiences I have had at a bowling alley, and that says a lot because I tend to not let little things (like outdated everything) bother me. The two employees that I dealt with were extremely rude and condescending to my friends and I, and ruined the experience for us all. I had called about 5 days earlier to reserve lanes for 30 people, but when I got there only 4 lanes had been reserved. Right off the bat, the employees at the front desk got frustrated at us for not understanding the way they were making us pay (they make you do it as a group even if you are all paying separately), and one employee even yelled at my friend who had barely said two words. After that I was approached saying that we were missing the payment from people in our group, and claiming that my one friend didn't pay even though I was just charged and had explained that I was paying for both of us; furthermore, he made me show him the change he had just given me a minute prior because obviously it was my fault ( and worst of all he made me feel awful about it, as a paying customer i should not be made to feel that way). After that they placed us at lanes that were almost 5 lanes away from the rest of our group even though, remind you, I had reserved lanes for my group, and when I asked to be placed where my reservation was they refused to put us in the appropriate lanes (that no one was playing on) and gave us some lame excuse that all the lanes had to be filled up in a certain way. For me, the only reason I had fun was because of my friends. Rude employees who are not willing to work with the customers will always ruin an event. I'll make sure to take my business somewhere else where it will be more appreciated next time because if that is the treatment I get for bringing in a large and profitable group then I definitely believe this place deserves only one star. read more

This four star rating goes for pretty much every Vantage Bowling center in Tucson. I've been to each of them twice, and Lucky Strike three times (so far). Strictly speaking there's nothing really wrong with Lucky Strike - it's bowling, with food and pool tables, a bar, and a pro shop. They all have specials and "cosmic" bowling, leagues, and more. But they also feel just a bit... old. I've been to nicer bowling alleys with better lighting and a cleaner atmosphere and more options on the games. But really, those are just bonus' for other bowling centers and only takes away from Vantage when, or if, you compare. On their own, they are exactly what you'd expect - good, cheap, bowling fun with most of the extras you could want. By the way, I'm reviewing as a parent who's taking their younger children each time *and* who's sent one of their kids on an after school program to go bowling for one semester (I would have sent him more as he loved it, but the bowling alley or the school quit offering the program). As a parent, this place is great. The bowling is cheap; the computers that log your progress are simple; the staff is friendly; the snack bar is a bit pricey but covers anything/everything you'd want; they have a decent supply of video games and pinball to distract kids between games; they offer all the kid-centric features for free (no-tap bowling, bumpers, ramps for littler folks); and they even have an assortment of "special" games on various nights. The few times I've had troubles (a ball got stuck twice, bumpers fell down once, pins or computer got confused and left the "sweeper" thingy down) staff is quick to respond and send someone over to fix the issue. I should note that "stuck" balls and bumpers falling were MY fault - little ones that either didn't move the ball fast enough to make it down or they thought they were Wii bowling and chucked the ball like an air hockey puck right at a defenseless bumper. These things happen and the staff responds quickly and with a friendly smile. "Seen it happen a thousand times - no worries" is the look you get. Overall, Lucky Strike and it's siblings all feel cozy and fun, relaxed and entertaining. And Lucky Strike is situated right near a host of other restaurants, coffee bars, and bistros - more hang out joints for before or after a few games in case the Pizzano's pizza and various munchy foods aren't quite cutting it. If Lucky Strike spruced up the place a bit and added a few more game types to their computer systems, I'd easily give this place 5 stars. Definitely a fun place to go for a family of four for $12-$18 (for 1 or 2 games, with shoe rental). read more

It's a standard bowling alley - bad lighting etc (what you can come to expect) but the reason why I'm giving it such a low rating is that while I know it's a cheap thrill experience, I expect the lane to at least work! Our lane kept giving us strikes...which is exciting, but it wasn't the truth. Mr. Fix-it tried and tried and then finally it started to work...then didn't. We all had a fun time anyway, but if they put a little more elbow grease behind the mechanics, it would have gotten a better score from me. Went to Luckys on a Wednesday night with some friends for the first time. We walked in and stood in line not knowing what the prices were. As soon as it was our turn, we walked up to the counter and were greeted by two employees who were very friendly. We asked her what the options/prices were, and she said, "$6 per person for unlimited bowling, thats the only option you have!" Since it was the ONLY option we had and it wasn't bad, we went ahead and payed. The place was packed with people, and they didn't stop coming. The bowling balls were a little greasy but its expected. The bowling alley is a little outdated, but we didn't have any problems with it. They had a couple of pool tables, a snack bar, and a bar. We did try the nachos and the salted pretzel w/ cheese. The nachos were good, similar to what you would get at a gas station and the pretzel was pretty good as well. We all had a great time and we will come back! read more

Here's the truth about this place... it's clean, and always being updated with new equipment, to include balls, shoes, and computers system over the last few years. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The review below is misleading. The gentleman in the snack bar is really nice, always joking with customers, and trying to help find a combo if one is available. It's a bowling alley, it gets loud so sometimes it's hard to hear, I could see why the lady said she couldn't hear but it's not the snack bar guys fault. Every time I go it's always a Yes Sir or Ma'am from him depending on who he's talking to, no matter how long that line gets. Maybe she had too many that night. read more

For years I have had a Christmas party for under privileged children at Lucky Strike Bowl. The employees have been overly kind and helpful, and they made sure the children had a wonderful time. Used to bowl here in college all the time... 50 cent nights are amazing, 50 cent beers and games for a $5 cover. This place has the definite classic 50s bowling alley feel to it, complete with no-nonsense staff and hardcore bowling addicts hanging out at all hours of the day and night... Last time I checked, 50 cent nights were tuesdays and sundays starting at 10, and Thursday nights were dollar games and beers for a $5 cover. Good times. read more

Came here on date night a couple weeks ago... I loved the prices, however it was very crowded, I could not find a ball that I was comfortable with, and the U of A jocks we were sharing a lane with were wearing street shoes! Not cool! I've been here a few times and all my experiences have been good. The service is pretty good and the bowling is fun. However, the most recent time I was here, the ball return wasn't working very well at all. Every once in a while none of our bowling balls would come back and we either had to throw more balls or ask for help. It happened about five times during our three games. It was quite obnoxious. Excellent clean facility. We did a bowling package 2 hours for a lane with all shoes included for $49.95. It was an excellent time the staff was attentive and they set out a table for us with at table cloth ready with ice water and cups. We had a tab for food and drink and the pizza was surprisingly good as were the wings. Good beer selection. I would definitely recommend this bowling facility to anyone. Also the lanes are smart lanes where the bumpers rise and lower for the bowlers that need them so big kids/adults can bowl on the same lane as the little kids. read more

Made a reservation for my son's birthday. 6 of us. We had to wait in line FOREVER. The check in counter guys never acknowledge anyone in line. People just kept getting called via the intercom that their lane was available so they took care of them first. There should be a separate reservation line. Once we got to our lane it was fun. Shoes were cute and clean. We shared our area with a dad and son. It wasn't too bad. I had to use the bathroom. It was filthy and smelled like putrid urine and rotten fish. It was so gross. Definitely need a lot of work in that area. We ordered drinks and fries. The soda was on the flat side and the ketchup pump hardly worked. I literally took 10 minutes pumping for 3 tiny containers. The last thing that was really bothersome was the videos they play. I had 4 kids bowling and they show nasty twerking videos with chicks showing all their goods and extremely sexual. This bowling alley should keep in mind that families bowl too and should keep their choice of videos tasteful. We had a fun time but due to all the cons we would not come back. This evening I walked in to bowl around 5:30 and the man at the counter told me his cut off to let me bowl was 6:00 and would not allow me to bowl. I informed him that their website says open bowling until 9:00. He then proceeded to respond to me in a rude and condescending attitude.
