All items looked good. Not sure if owner is Russian or European, but it's a unique place for visitors. These markets are more popular in streets of Paris, France and other parts of Europe. I started with the cheese and spinach empanada, which was made fresh to order. The dough was thin, and the cheese and spinach filling was savory and flavorful. It was so good that I went back for more. The staff member was incredibly friendly and even offered me an extra empanada for free. I chose the beef flavor, and it did not disappoint. It was well-seasoned, flavorful, and generously filled. I also loved browsing the flower booths. The flowers were colorful and beautiful, with plenty of selections. Unfortunately, I arrived late and all of the potted plants had already sold out. Another big plus is the open seating area, which provides a comfortable place to sit, relax, and enjoy your food while taking in the lively atmosphere. It's nice to be able to take a walk to the Caltrains parking lot for some fresh fruits and veggies. It's definitely a smaller market with less vendors. But it's super convenient if you live anywhere near the Ralston/El Camino Safeway by the Belmont station. This FM is open on Sundays year round between 9am to 1pm. I would love to see more vendors come out this way.
