Big shout out to my friend for suggesting to use a moving helping company because I had to move during the week day and all my friends have Monday-Friday jobs and even myself I had to take time off in order to move. More on the company though; they were superior in customer service, physical capable of carrying anything no matter how heavy, big, or weirdly shaped, they will get it done. I had no issues with the pack or the move. The crew that was sent was very personable, diligent, and fairly quick with the pack and move. I think it took about six hours total. No issues with the service there. However, after unpacking, my TV screen was cracked. I submitted a damage claim form as directed by their customer care department. After a few days the responded with a denial of my claim. It was disappointing that they would not accept responsibility for the damage and insinuated that I was the one who damaged the TV, or at the very least, because I did not see the damage before they left (or in their words) "there were no damages reported during the move", that they would not assume responsibility. Looks like I'll be visiting a rage room soon with my broken TV.

I am sure that it's possible if we had used a larger vendor such as: United, Allied, Atlas, etc. We may have had a similar experience. However, this one was great. So next time I'll skip the middle man and contact InDemand. The guys drove all the way up here from Chicago. Wrapped our furniture very well. Loaded the truck and were on their way to our new home. Our stuff arrived the next with no damage. I would recommend InDemand and recommendi asking for Jose and Ben - great guys! Costs: I have seen some other low rating reviews posted and I'm not sure if they went through Budget or directly through InDemand. It seems they didn't have a clear understanding of the process. I don't know that it's complicated, but I could see payment being confusing - also if communication wasn't clear. For us both Budget and InDemand were clear about the costs. You sign a Non-Binding contract - meaning the price can/will change. Cost is weight based. So if you underestimate how much stuff you have, what you think you will pay will be different. Once it's weighed the price can definitely go up. Be smart and overestimate. You are charged per pound. I added to my inventory estimate a week before the move and as expected the price went up. More stuff = More Money. We were given a ticket from a certified weight station for the weight of the truck empty and another one at delivery showing the total weight of the truck full. The overestimate worked for us. By overestimating, the final total was close to we expected. We actually owed them $30 less. Win! Going through Budget our costs were broken down into 3 installments. 1st to reserve the date (Credit Card), 2nd for pick up (Credit Card + 3% to use CC, Cash, Money Order) and 3rd for delivery (Cash or Money Order) It was made clear to us that at delivery we could only pay cash or money order. Both Budget and InDemand knew the total cost of the move, and they both have an inventory list. If they trust their guys with the cash/m.o. payment that works for me. I'd recommend them to anyone looking to move.

At 11:55 a.m. that day, I received a call that their earlier job was going over time and they would not get to us until 2 - 2:30. They offered to send a fourth mover at no charge so that it would go faster. I understand that sometimes things just don't go according to schedule and I appreciated them offering to send an extra mover. After 2:30, we were strung along in 20 - 30 minute increments, constantly being promised that the movers were on their way and would be there soon. Whoever we spoke to would promise to call us back with an update or more information and never would; I was the one consistently reaching out to figure out what was going on. In the course of these phone calls, we were then promised a fifth mover at no charge as well as a discount of our total cost. Movers did not arrive until 4:30, and only three of the five men showed up. We were told, throughout the duration of the move, that the two additional men were on their way, but they never showed up. The movers were ok, they protected our large pieces of furniture and we did not have any major damage to any of our furniture or other items. Boxes were labeled and color-coded according to room; some ended up in the right room and some did not. In the end, we did receive a discount and later an additional refund, but this took substantial negotiating and we felt that we were being given the run-around as we had to talk to multiple people about it (different people in the office and the lead mover). Everyone we spoke with was kind, however, they seem to make a lot of promises that just do not actually get fulfilled. Overall, we had a stressful and unprofessional experience.

I gave her an accurate account of the items I would be moving when and where and I received a quote in about 20 minutes. The day before I received a call regarding the move to confirm and see if I had any major changes that would change the quoted price. On the day of the move the movers arrived a little late but it didn't bother me, my move was scheduled for 9-11 and they arrived at 930 and still I was out by 11, I had a 1 bedroom apt on the 4th flr. My entire move was done by noon!!!! They had gotten to my new place unpacked reassembled items they took apart and put things where they were labeled, ie basement bedroom kitchen etc. The only complaint was that I wish they had told me that they were going to have more people moving me, the paperwork said 3 but it was 5 guys so I didn't have enough money for all the tips, but I guess they worked it out. Clearly this difference made a huge difference though I'm not sure why. Setting up and arranging was easy, they were polite and provided a great quote of $650 for 3 men for 5 hours of move of a 2 bedroom. This sounds great to me and I book. Day of move goes okay however they took a very slow time moving things downstairs, acted surprised I had a flight of stairs when I told them multiple times in the arrangements, and dropped several things one being an inherited framed tapestry from my grandmother. This would all be fine except when we got to my new location they were clearly exhausted (2 of them are not in "moving guys shape") and almost irritated they had to finish the job. Like...that's literally what I am hiring the service for. However, what really tipped the scales was by the end, because it took them 2 hours longer than anticipated they doubled the price to a bit over $1200 and then had the audacity to ask if I was going to tip! I was, and had the money ready but how dare you flat out ask for it! To add insult to injury after they left and I tipped I found the broken tapestry. Additionally, they put heavy boxes on breakables and though I inventoried and labeled each box with the room it should go in they threw them literally in the almost opposite direction. The littlest mover, was the best. He was friendly, professional and darn strong for being so small. He worked his butt off and if I could've given everything to him I would have. Asking them about the tapestry I inquired if I should go through my insurance or theirs. They suggested theirs and then led me on a goose chase for a week before reverting back and saying I should go through my own insurance. For the fact that I didn't really save any money here by going with Crescent I would say absolutely choose another vendor.

We booked this company 3 weeks ago for a move. They told us we were the first move of that day and we had an appointment of 8am Saturday morning. Thursday before our move we get the confirmation call... Now we are at 11am.. This is fine with us, we just need to move. 10:30am Saturday morning day of the move. My wife received a call that they are running behind and that we are now moved to 5pm IF NOT SUNDAY Morning.... Yes Sunday morning... They have to call us back to confirm. By 1:30 we have not heard back from them. I call get someone that has no idea about my situation... I'm then told the owner will call.... NO CALLS at all not one. I called that number 25 times and left 5 vmails. It's the 30th and I have to be out by the 31st and this place dosent call me. I sat at my condo until 11pm that night all my clothes are packed, all my food is gone since we made it so we didn't have to move food... My 2 dogs are stressed out at this time and oh did I mention I ended the electric for that night since we were moving out.. Could I have ended the electric on Monday or Tuesday? Yes I could have.. But I didn't expect a company with this high of rating to be as completely unprofessional as they were. So Saturday night no power no ac apartment full of boxes totes and bags with no tv eating pizza in the dark. How could anyone run a company like this... How unprofessional are you? They did NOT HONOR my claim AT ALL!! They said "IT'S NOT OUR FAULT, ALL WE DID WAS PACK IT AND LOAD IT. Another company drove it to FL, it is obviously their fault." REALLLLLLLY I'd NEVER recommend this company again - they have NO INTEGRITY!!! I do have pictures of the damaged items - they totally destroyed a printer stand that was extremely sturdy, but couldn't sustain a HEAVY box falling on it!! Other items damages had been handmade in China when I was there and had it shipped home. It made it just fine from around the world but not from IL to FL!! REALLLLLLLLY
