Been coming to Lucky Wishbone, for over 3 decades now. I just adore the chicken as always.

This used to be standard go to years ago.... Not anymore. I saw the billboard on Oracle advertising their hot wings and wanted to try it again. One dozen wings later, almost thirteen dollars later, still hungry. Bought six of the hot and six of the parmesan, both were pathetic. I've always been a fan of Lucky Wishbone and visit other locations, but I'll never return to this one on Oracle. They charged me $2 more than the price listed on the menu and got really defensive when I asked why. I ended up just paying it and moving on. My food came out and I foolishly didn't check it before I got home, but I was missing 2 chicken fingers (I ordered the "pop" which is supposed to have 8, but I got 6). Stick to the other locations, this one doesn't live up to the name. read more

I have been in Tucson my whole life and have never tried it. I had been meaning to and finally found the opportunity and swung in. I had the shrimp basket and my fiancé had the chicken strips. While the food is definitely not as fast as fast food it's made to order and delicious!!!! The cocktail sauce is just the right amount of spicy and tangy! The staff was really friendly! It was a little more expensive than I expected but the quality was worth it. The single downfall is there is no place to sit. Best for takeout unless you want to sit and eat with all the people waiting for their orders and watching. Also only 3 tables to fit 2 people each. We attempted to go and grab some dinner tonight and we couldn't even sit as a family of 4 and a one year old because there is not much seating but mostly because there are no high chairs, none. They advertise food for a family yet don't provide seating for children? Makes zero sense! So I would rate the food, but couldn't because I wasn't able to even sit down to eat. read more

I remember, as a kid, going to Lucky Wishbone on special days, like 4th of July. It was considered a real treat to go there. Our mom would order the fried chicken and we'd go out to a park, have a picnic and then watch fireworks. So, needless to say, I have really fond memories of Lucky Wishbone. And, still, to this day, they don't disappoint me. First off, I love local businesses that have stayed around and survived the ups and downs of our Old Pueblo. This particular location is quick. Great fried chicken. If you've been to KFC lately, Lucky Wishbone wins, hands down. I have no idea what KFC is doing to their chicken, but when the skin slides off the chicken under its own power, that's scary. The chicken fingers tend to be a little dry, but the steak fingers and shrimp are good. If you want to freak out someone who's never been, make sure to get some gizzards and livers and tell them it's some kind of popcorn chicken. Who know, you might just create a fan! I know, there's a special place in hell for people like me. Don't forget the garlic Texas toast, coleslaw and onion rings! Prices have definitely gone up since I was a kid. But if it helps them stay open in Tucson and keep sponsoring little league teams, so much the better. You know, in all my years in Tucson, I've never had a burger from Lucky Wishbone. I was impressed. I didn't know what to expect. I'm not a fan of fried chicken from fast food joints. I think Kentucky Fried Chicken--Gross. But the Lucky Wishbone is FANTASTIC. I had their 3 piece wishbone basket with fries and a coke. The chicken was moist, meaty, and almost boneless. I will have their wishbone basket again. AWESOME!!! read more

Sadly this review is for the restaurant. Their food is always wonderful. The delivery service is awful-we waited almost 2.5 hours, calling the restaurant and the food still waiting for delivery. Door Dash is not doing your business any favors. Please discontinue the use of this terrible service. read more

Been going here for years. Consistsnt food quality, but portion size seems to slowly be decreasing, but more importantly, service quality has seriously diminished. Tried the online ordering...not so good. Website functions well, but they're not doing a good job with it at the location. Still had to stand in line behind all the walk-ins, even though they advertise "no more standing in line when you order online". By the time I got to the counter it was ten minutes after the time my order was supposed to be ready....and it wasn't ready. Finally got my order another ten minutes later, so it was late by a total of twenty minutes!! Not much of a time saver there. After I got back to work with my lunch I discovered they had shorted the toast that's supposed to come with the Pop Shrimp meal. They also had ignored my request for a couple lemon slices for the shrimp and fish. I figured that was a reasonable request of a place selling seafood AND iced tea, but apparently not. Also, no napkins or utensils included...???? Pretty poor showing overall, don't you think? Going back to Mr Crispys instead next time. Consistently great food!!! As a creature of habit, I always order a "mom" size steak fingers (7 per order) with fries, garlic toast (+ an extra one because it's so, so good) and a cherry coke. No matter which LW location you frequent, you'll find friendly, efficient long time staff waiting to help you and prepare your food. LW is always on my list of places to eat when I'm in Tucson. Hmmm....road trip!!!! read more

Tried for first time on Super Bowl Sunday. Won't go back again. Wings were small, dry, and bland. Really disappointed.

Worth getting, it's not like it use to be when Howard was working here though. Sadly the pride and quality has left since he did. Still go now and then though, I'm sure they'll stay about average for now. Time will tell. read more

I went into this restaurant the night of the 20th, with my boyfriend expecting to receive decent customer service and instead, we were met with childish, inappropriate behaviour. We are relatively new to eating at Lucky Wishbone, which led us to stand at the entrance of the establishment to take a look at the menu. Mind you, there were no other customers waiting to be attended to, thus leaving us in no rush to look over what we wanted for dinner. Tap tap tap went the fingers of the cashier against the counter as she made it apparent that we were taking too long. This was loud enough for another worker to ask Grace, the girl who took our order, if she wanted her to take over and service us instead. Grace declined her offer, and by then we were ready to order. As I explained to her that I wanted the Pop sized shrimp, the girl paused, ripped the ticket sheet off in a show of attitude, and crumpled it up. She gave us a ungenuine smile, blinked her eyes rapidly like a dramatic, spoilt brat, and took the rest of our order. She turns away to turn in the order ticket and walks over to her coworker, Laudia or Claudia (a name similar to that) and begins to gossip about us. Laudia discreetly looked at us to see who she was speaking about, shrugged her shoulders and continued her work as Grace turned around and continued to gossip to the other workers. When she realized that her little show was on display, her pride was hurt and she quickly attempted to make herself busy and went to the back of the store, and behind something to attempt to be out of our line of sight. When we picked up our order, we asked to speak to a general manager. The shift leader approached us, and told us he would get the contact information for us and went into an office. The coworker in the beginning who offered to take over for Grace approaches us and asks what the problem is. When we told her we wanted to speak to a general manager, she said that she can take care of it, despite not being a manager. We repeatedly tell her that we do not want to file this complaint with anyone but the manager, she tells us that we can "simply google the answer". The shift lead is still no longer in sight. As we left, we can still hear the workers gossiping about us;"what the hell" was our goodbye out the door from them.I want to know how these "workers" are being trained. Why they refused to disclose their managers contact information, and why they had the time and audacity to giggle and point fingers and spread rumors like petty children about customers. This establishment lacks quality customer service, cleanliness, class, and decency. read more
