It's not like it was super busy yet us took over 10 minutes just to place our order. We ordered the following items. Even then it took around 15 mins to get our food. 1). Two pork & shrimp egg rolls. They were tasty but were burnt. (2 stars ) 2). My stand by shrimp egg foo yung. Tasty as always Very good (4 stars ) 3). Combo platter - called No 1 dish in the World? How & why? The dish had, chicken, shrimp, peapods, tomato's, & beef . The beef in the dish had a rancid taste. I should have sent this back (1 Star ) Service was very slow between ordering, receding the food & waiting to receive the check (2 stars )) Usually we come at lunchtime where the price difference between lunch & dinner is huge). The lunch is a much better deal for the same dishes). This restaurant usually has decent quality food but if I come back it will be for lunch & not dinner as the price point is much more affordable.

The one drawback about these stalls in grocery store setting they always seem to be stingy about extra utensils, bowls or even napkins. They barely give you any napkins and they are usually extra thin too. I have to remember to bring my own napkins when dining at these locations.

He packed up the food for us when we left and even took a couple pictures for my family.

There's just so many other authentic Chinese restaurants and this place, being on Dempster, isn't quite close to the major highways like other places (Minghin, Chef Ping, etc) but its a nice location if you're more in the city.

We ordered the Korean style sweet and sour beef-tangsooyook (breaded chunks of beef in a white sweet and sour sauce, with onions, pineapple and bell peppers), Korean noodles with black bean sauce (jjajangmyun), and garlic chicken wings (kan-poong-ki). The chicken wings were originally intended to be spicy but we were able to get them non-spicy for our small child. The jiajangmyun was pretty standard and the chicken wings were tender and easy to eat (small child could eat them easily with the bone). The sweet and sour beef was my favorite of the three dishes and was really flavorful. Overall, food was good and staff were kind. We will be back for more!

My wife and I have been patrons of the Lucky Wok since it first opened. We love the cleanliness and that you can watch your food being prepared. They are very accommodating with special orders and the food is always excellent. My wife does not care for spicy food so she has not tried their hotter dishes but her favorite is chicken and vegetables. I really enjoy the shrimp in lobster sauce. We order out from Lucky Wok a couple times a month and have never had a bad meal. Their Crab Rangoon is the best! The people are friendly and always helpful. Overall I rate it a solid five! It should be noted that in 2008 the Lucky Wok was sold and the owners we liked so much went back to China. We have not been back since so can not share any current information. read more
