Scarlet Cake (top) Dark Chocolate Chip Cake (bottom)
    Leemor Y.

Read a lot about this bakery and was really excited to try their cake. I stopped by on the weekend and managed to get two slices. They have a window that you can order goodies from over the weekend. I ordered the chocolate chip cake and the scarlet (red velvet). Both were really good. I liked the scarlet a bit more than the chocolate though they were quite similar. The frosting is awesome. I even saved some cake for a day or two later and i though it might dry out but it still tasted great! I would have liked some more textures in the cake, something crispy or crunchy (like salted pretzel), but that's just a personal preference on how I like my cake :). There was no outdoor or indoor seating, just pick up.

Absolutely love this place. We ordered our wedding cake here- strawberry lemon. You are able to have a cake tasting or order mini cakes to go in order to select what flavor you want. We communicated through email which for me was the best way. Floral arrangements on the cake where lovely. Good to know they get their flowers for the cake from florist we selected for our wedding " ROSEHIP" so truly everything flowed. The cake was delicious. All our guest raved about it. We even bought another cake a few days after the wedding to celebrate my sisters birthday "coconut "

Lemon berry creme fraiche cake, 6 inch. Delicious and beautiful!

Wow. I live in San Diego and my daughter lives in New York. So her birthday is a little hard to celebrate unless we travel. This year, covid made that impossible so I decided that I was going to order her a birthday cake and have it delivered. Choosing anything from a distance is difficult, but I chose Luckybird and am so glad I did. It was so easy to order by email and Amy was a gem. Quick responder and sweet. The best part, though, was the cake. I chose the lemon berry creme fraiche cake and my girl and her friends loved it! She said it was moist and not gunked with frosting (which she hates...not a big frosting girl); and the fresh flowers on top were gorgeous. I liked that it did not cost me an arm and a leg, even with delivery and they included a little card. Thank you Amy and Luckybird bakery! I'll be visiting your cake window next time I visit her!

Luckybird cakes are beautiful and more importantly delicious! I've had the vanilla rose cake in the past for a rather large celebration and remember enjoying it a lot, I ordered a Meyer Lemon cake for my sisters 30th birthday! Placing the order was simple, let Amy know what you want and she will tell you if she can accommodate and the price. You set the pick up day and time and upon pick up you will receive a very pretty pretty cake! The floral arrangements on the cake is 1000000% and the flowers are all fresh flowers. The cake also tastes amazing- very moist and the cake itself is not overly sweet. My parents really enjoyed eating the cake as well. Will definitely be back for more cakes in the future!

Omg These cakes taste as good as they look!! I did a surprise birthday for one of my bestfriends and people couldn't stop taking pics of it and asking what bakery I got it from. Amy is very nice and worked with me since I wanted certain flowers on the cake to look like a mini bouquet, and match other arrangements. She accomplished the look and still put her signature on it to produce an absolutely fabulous cake! Now for the taste.. WOW the rose just coats your palette without overwhelming the cake itself. It's light, yet still decadent. Simply a slice of heaven !

Luckybird is known for their cakes, and while I didn't get a slice this time, I definitely want to at some point because they all looked amazing. I did enjoy the mini rose water scone and chocolate chip cookie (the cookie was perfect).

Just the most delicious cakes and insanely gorgeous! I cannot recommend this bakery highly enough!!

I can't even appropriately explain how amazing it was to have Luckybird be a part of our wedding. All the flavors we tried were phenomenal but we ended up going with a dark choc chip and Vanilla Rose and I have not stopped hearing about how delicious and beautiful the cake was. I can't wait for another opportunity to order a cake and I know exactly who I will be calling. Also I had a few emails with Mary and she was so nice and wonderful to work with.

Amy and her team made a beautiful cake for my sister's bridal shower. I came by the bakery and tasted the vanilla rose cake, which is so rich and delicious! Working with Amy was very easy and she was responsive throughout the entire process. We received so many compliments on how beautiful the cake was and how good it tasted.

    6" Vanilla Rose Cake!
    Sandy C.

Absolutely satisfied with the beautifully presented Vanilla Rose Cake! Presentation was 10/10 (simple but elegant - many of my friends asked where I got the cake from!) and Mary was so helpful throughout the entire process. Everything went smoothly from ordering to pick-up. I also highly recommend their rose water scone! It was so moist and the rose flavor was just so satisfying! I wish that they were open on the weekdays so I can stop by more often! The shop itself was very cute. The pastries on display looked so delicious and tempting! I could not just leave without getting something! If you have a chance, give it try! You won't be disappointed ~

I ordered a vanilla rose cake for my friend's bridal shower. Pick up was easy and Mary was very responsive with the emails. The cake was reasonably priced and I was attracted to the rustic, naked style. I haven't tried any cakes by Luckybird and was very happy with how the cake turned out! It was not too sweet, the cake itself was moist and the rose cream in between was perfectly flowery. The only bad thing I can say about the cake was that I paid extra for extra flowers and that it did not reflect. I wish that they put some on the base of the cake.

    Andrew N.

Artfully curated. The vibe is subtlety hip and unembellished. A cake merchant shares their craft with the world through the intricate vail of a European coffee shop. Buy it by the slice or keep Luckybird in mind for your next special event. The menu is boosted by historically favorited coffee shop confections with a few original upscale twists. Try the Rosewater scone. I asked for a to go bag as the scone was intimidating in proportion. As I ate the last bite - I cowered with a rosé blushed face and hid the to go bag that was no longer necessary underneath the stylish China.

I'm jealous of my friend who lives right across the street, but we go to Luckybird almost every time I visit.

Firstly the rebrand has been phenomenal, I love the care that has obviously gone in to the packaging, transportation and delivery of my order. It really felt like it was delivered straight from the shop with no problems. The lotusella crepe was every biscoff lover's dream come true. The pairing with chocolate and banana and strawberry is a classic hit and I love that they didn't skimp on the chocolate or biscoff here. The layers of crepe were appropriate thickness and not too dense. I hate when they crepe is too thick and feels like you're getting a mouthful of dough. Not with this bad boy. I like the dusting of lotus crumbs and they actually don't go soggy which is nice. I can't wait to try more things of their menu. A true neighborhood gem!!

We ordered one strawberry and one strawberry banana crêpe. They were filled with strawberries and bananas, and the outside was drizzled with glorious Nutella, which is a hazelnut chocolate sauce . The texture of the crêpes were absolutely perfect and that was the part I was most craving. I also loved the Nutella part. The banana and strawberry not so much as to me that didn't really have much of a taste, but maybe that was because the rest of it was super flavorful and over powered the fruit. All good and definitely satisfied my crêpe craving, but next time I would stop by to enjoy their desserts in person. The Kunafa looks particularly wonderful and has definitely peaked my curiosity.

Anyway, I was in Brooklyn with my brother to see a concert and had just finished dinner. We had some time before doors opened so we decided to grab a little ice cream before heading over to the venue. Farmacy was steps away - it all seemed like it was meant to be, so off we went. Farmacy aims to capture the nostalgia of an old fashioned soda shop and ice cream parlor. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by aesthetics - the tile, fixtures, and decor totally give off that vibe. There are a few tables to sit as well as a large bar area with stools; I also noticed a few tables set up outside as well. The traffic flow is set up so that you order first and then have it served to you after sitting. Browsing the menu, I noticed they have a selection of ice cream scoops, shakes, egg creams, specialty sodas, hot chocolates, and a large variety of sundae creations. Since we were there for ice cream, we decided to split a sundae -specifically the Sir Twix-a-Lot. This was chunks for shortcake tossed in caramel and topped with vanilla ice cream that was coated in a chocolate shell. Overall I thought the sundae was solid - but the combinations of textures weren't my favorite to be honest, mostly with how the shortcake played with the ice cream. It wasn't bad though - the flavors definitely gave the Twix aesthetic. My only other issue with the dish was that because chocolate shell was used, any residue at the bottom was hard so you have to chisel it if you want to savor any last spoonfuls; I guess that comes with the territory. Service was good - everyone was friendly. It wasn't too busy when we were there so we had our selection of seats and our ice cream was ready pretty quickly. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried Brooklyn Farmacy out - they have a large selection so I would definitely return when I'm in the area again.

The extra dollar for marshmallow made the chocolate even sweeter, so it was overwhelming and I wouldn't recommend. But. The extra dollar for whipped cream would be nice because the their homemade whipped cream isn't sweet, so it will just thicken up the drink and give you that extra texture oooomph that you'll appreciate. Torino cafe is basically coffee added to any hot chocolate of your choice. That was tasty with dark chocolate. You definitely tasted the coffee and it was less thick than regular hot chocolate (which was on a thinner, sippier side). You can sample ice cream to make your selection. Flavor-wise, I tried the masala chai, black cherry cardamom, and the saffron soft serve. The saffron soft serve reminded me of the leftover milk from ras malai turned into soft serve, which was interesting and nostalgic. The masala chai and cherry cardamom were more subtle than I hoped. Some tasted unique upfront but left a slightly weird aftertaste that kind of lingered.
