Was taking lunch to a friend at his shop and we both love pizza! Truth be told, pizza is my favorite food group! After reading the reviews I decided to give Lucky's a shot. HOLY CRAP was this a good choice! If you like NY thin crust style pizza, THIS IS THE PLACE! The crust was perfection itself and the cheese and mushrooms were second to none! Granted mushrooms are just fungi, but damn these were fresh and flavorful! And the CHEESE, OMG it was so buttery and rich, my tongue thought I had died and gone to heaven. And I LOVE that their sauce is almost understated, it's there but only enough to compliment the pie, not so much that it overwhelms, but not so little that the pie is dry. There was nothing half assed about this pie, it was perfection in a box! Bottom line, one of the best NY styled pizza's I've enjoyed so far! (In my 66 years on the planet) I can highly recommend Lucky's Pizza at 67th and Cactus Rd. (Big Lots is the anchor to the center). I'm hell bent on trying every pizza joint in this town. Lucky's is not too far away from me and they did not disappoint! I placed a delivery order. It was on-time and arrived when they said it would. I went with a 14" Lucky's Special Pizza. All the fixins and baked to perfection. Cheese was melted to perfection, the crust wasn't chewy or doughy, the veggies were still a little crisp without being soggy. I would not hesitate at all to order from Lucky's again and would most definitely recommend them to family, friends and fellow Yelp'ers! My husband and I aren't from around here but we do have family here, we had a birthday party to throw and thought pizza and wings were the best options. We didn't want to go to a chain food place so we decided to look around for places near us. We came across Lucky's Pizza. The reviews were mixed so we were worried, but decided to go forward and place our order. We weren't in the delivery zone so my husband had to pick up our order. Honestly, all of my guesses are from the area and all of them asked where we got the pizza from, it was a hit!! The wings were fresh and hot. The pizza was so good! And we forgot about the breadsticks, but they were all good. The breadsticks looked like a medium cheese pizza! When we're in the area and craving pizza and wings again, we will be coming back! So glad I decided to randomly grab a pizza from Lucky's Pizza for dinner one day. I knew exactly what time I would need to pick up the pizza so I opted to order online for pickup rather than going in and grabbing it myself or having it delivered. In terms of food, we got the white pizza (and added mushrooms for an additional $1.75) and some fried mushrooms on the side. As you can tell, we're a fan of mushrooms. I dropped by Lucky's at the pick up time and the pizza was ready to go which was great! Service was super friendly and left a great impression even with my minimal interactions with the staff. The pizza itself was deeelicious. Super flavorful and filling without being too greasy or overwhelming. The fried mushrooms were made with some great quality mushrooms and I would definitely get them again. First time customers. Highly recommended by our friends and coworkers. Very friendly staff and great service. Clean, well lit and inviting dining area. A lovely New York Skyline is painted on the wall. They had basketball on the two televisions while we were there, so my Hubby was happy. We had the Mozzarella Sticks, and the Sicilian Veggie Pizza. We were delighted to have the Cheesecake and Cannoli as well. The mozzarella sticks were absolutely perfect- oozy gooey inside and crispy crunchy outside. The pizza was the size of a card table lol- delicious dough and generous toppings. Both desserts were heavenly- a perfect portion and the perfect sweetness. Over a decade we've frequented Lucky's and it's always been a great experience. Since moving it's been a bit harder to stop at this location and I have to be honest their other location isn't in my top five. Service is so much more friendly here at the Glendale location. Pizza is always delicious and wings tasty. They can at times be a bit over sauced for me, but always have a great flavor. The location is a bit small, but always large enough to allow our family of six to sit comfortably. read more

I am not from this area of Phx but went here to meet a seller from offerup to pick up the mac pro i was buying. After I met the seller I decided to go into the pizza joint where i was parked... LUCKY's!!! Im so happy I did!! Its a family owned and operated business and the woman who took my order was one of the owners. She was very considerate and offered a few suggestions and I decided to keep it simple and ordered 2 slices, one cheese and one pepperoni. It was great!!! Ordered delivery on Easter after having enough ham for lunch to last all year. Got an Italian Supreme and a white pizza with sausage and mushrooms. Their sausage is the bomb!! They delivered promptly and the delivery driver was pleasant and not intimidated by my dog. It was a few bucks more than I normally pay for pizza but worth it after a long day. I had only been to the Surprise location previously. Called the other night and they were kind of rude about closing early, so I hung up. Decided to give them a shot last night. Had a half white half regular pepperoni pizza. When I got there to picK it up was ready and staff was quite friendly. Also had a dInner salad with it. I definitely enjoyed the salad, it was fresh with a nice mix of olives, chopped tomatoes and cheese and the homemade ranch was excellent. The pizza was half great, half eh. To elaborate, the pepperoni side was excellent with great sauce and cheese. The white side had no contrast and was very bland. I'm used to garlic, spiced tomatoes, nice contrasts in cheese, something. But that's ok. The pepperoni side definitely made me want to return. Also saw that they have solid daily lunch specials. Told me to pick up in 25, guess that's the problem with an automated system. When I got there, the sign on the door said face masks required. I am forever obsessed with Lucky's pizza! We had had a long day at the Seahawks/Cardinals game and we were starving. I searched for pizza joints around our condo and picked the first one we saw which happened to be Lucky's. Thank goodness we took the chance! We walked in and we were greeted by the owners who are a husband and wife duo. They immediately started raving about their pizza, and telling us about the authenticity of the NY style pizza, as the husband is from there. They were both so friendly and chatty, which we all love! Each couple grabbed a different pizza and waited patiently. I'll first start by saying that the prices are exceptionally reasonable for the amount of pizza you get. We had no idea that an XL pizza would yield nearly as much as it did. Our eyes were much bigger than our stomachs in this instance. The crust was perfect. It was nice and crisp with a little give to fold the slice in half. The sauce was a perfect compliment to the rest of the ingredients and wasn't watery or overwhelming. We got the meat lovers, and the meatballs that were on it were SO good, I think they were my favorite part. The toppings were more than generous. The other duo had the chicken bacon ranch and again, it was fabulous. The sauce was so thick and tasty and the chicken and bacon were of good quality. My only regret is that we don't have a Lucky's anywhere near us, because now I'll be day dreaming of the day I return to Glendale for a slice of pie. read more
