We were curious about this place since it's been there for a year or two. I was excited to try a new pizza place. I ordered the ziti. It was the worst pasta dish that I have ever had. It tasted like the pasta was mixed with undiluted canned tomato soup with sugar. How can this be? It be. The garlic bread was chewy and old. The salad was fine, crispy iceberg lettuce and black olives with a nice dressing. My husband ordered two slices of ham and onion pizza. What a huge disappointment. The crust is thin and limp, yuck! Both ham and chopped onion were cold and added AFTER the pizza was baked. Who does that? Dodas Pizza does! The young man who took our order and brought it to us, since were sitting on their patio, couldn't have been more pleasant. So that's a plus. I'll keep searching for the perfect pizza and ziti. read more

Great pizza spot especially for lunch. Got the lunch special which was such a great deal. The wings were cooked well but lacked sauce. Only thing with my slice was the crust was so over cooked it was like a crouton and I couldn't really even bite into it. But the rest of the slice was great. I was up by the Arrowhead Town Center yesterday and spotted Doda's Pizza. I wasn't hungry, but it was an opportunity to try a spot I've never been to before, so I had to get a cheese slice. The pizza was solid, with more cheese than you would normally get on a NY slice. Their menu covers all of the bases and they've got a couple of interesting pizza options. They make a Green Chile pizza with Hatch Chiles and an Eggplant Pizza with battered slices of Eggplant. Everything is homemade in house and they've been at this particular location for over 8 years. The vibe inside is nice and clean, with plenty of booths and tables. Their lunch special is awesome! 2 Cheese slices and a drink for $6.99 EVERY DAY till 4pm. Hubby was out that way and decided to pick up some pizza and wings from here. We've never had it, so it was fun trying something new. The pizza (plain cheese) was quite good. The crust was a little bready, but the overall flavor was nice. The wings (BBQ) were very good. I checked their menu and saw lots of goodies on there that I wouldn't mind trying some other time. We're looking for a new pizza place because after the Superbowl, we weren't thrilled about our regular place. I don't know if this one is it. The mozzarella sticks and wings were both outstanding. The mozzarella sticks had this delicious crunchy coating; these were definitely made by hand. I could eat them all day. The wings were tender, juicy, and sauced perfectly. I could have also eaten those all day. The pizza was meh. We ordered the Doda's Special but I was misled. It was bland. The pizza sauce needed more seasonings like garlic and oregano. And the toppings got lost in the extra cheese which was also bland. The appetizers were 15/10. The pizza was only 6/10. Maybe the chef was having an off-day or maybe I should have tried a different pizza. Otherwise, the wait staff was courteous. The restaurant was clean and seating was cozy. read more

I was really disappointed with the eggplant sub. It had no flavor at all. THe calzone was ok but nothing special. The worst part was the GARLIC BREAD. It was thin old bread with burnt edges. This is one good tasting pizza! They never go wrong. We've been going there since they opened and they have never lowered the quality of their ingredients. Friendly, nice clean place. We ordered the Country Brothers Pizza because I can't have too much tomato sauce. I think we were mostly thrown off by the breaded chicken. We thought it would just be a regular unbreaded chicken. We weren't a big fan of that. But I think we should try their signature pizza to make a better judgment on the restaurant. :) read more

The food is consistently good. Good value too, especially if you hit their lunch specials (which are good on weekends too!). I love that you can get just a slice. I know that in a city this side, there are plenty of places you can get decent food, but combine really good food with EXEMPLARY customer service, as well as an establishment that takes pride in being clean and welcoming - that's much harder to find. Doda's is the quintessential 'mom and pop.' They recognize you when you come in and you genuinely feel like they are happy to see you. The salads are fresh, quality is good, people are friendly and really do care about your experience. We got our usual pizza order, a large cheese pizza and cheesy garlic bread. I also got a side of ranch. We ordered thought slice and you get a 5% discount using their app! My husband picked up with no issues, it was ready when he got there. The pizza was so delicious! New York style, thin crust. Was soo good. Not overly greasy, soft crust but not floppy. Super staff at Doda's! Legit NY'ers and their pizza is as well. Great atmosphere inside the restaurant. They have a wide variety of food on their menu. The pizza was the only thing we tried. We'll be back to try some of their other offerings. I am betting it will be ad good as their pizza! We'll be back. They are closed for vacation for a few weeks so check their website before heading there. I am guessing they head back to NY for an annual vacation in the summer. read more

Ok another new place to review! This one is located near arrowhead mall. Small place but nice. Had tables and booths. Order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Ordered the XL pizza and 30 wing combo. Just got the cheese pizza and split the wings, medium and hot I liked the pizza. Thin crust and not greasy. The outer crust was the best. Crunchy and not chewy like most. The wings were done to perfection. The medium was more like mild and the hot was more like medium. But overall pretty good. So I'm going to recommend this place. Good food and decent prices. Friendly and helpful staff plus it was clean and nice inside. read more

I've had pizza always from here several times and it's always good but this time when I got the pizza, the crust was soggy and tough, so I called to let them know not wanting my money back or anything like that, and I talked to somebody named Leonard who claimed he was the manager, and all he did was make excuses as to why it was soggy and tough, because it sits in the box etc. I always get the same pizza the same way and it's never been that way and all I was trying to tell this little dude is maybe don't let it happen to anyone else but he was too busy making excuses (why can't you just take the criticism and say it won't happen again ) that's why I wanted to speak to somebody older cause he's too young to realize thats how do you keep customers ,so I guess I won't be back Because he peed me off!!! read more

So we love trying new small businesses and the boys wanted pizza. Doda's it was for dinner. It's located in the petsmart parking lot and easy to find. We ordered a Dodas special pizza, turkey and cheese sub and an order of garlic cheese toast. Now, we chose to dine in so not sure if to go is quicker but we waited a good 45 mins for our food. The pizza was underwhelming, seemed like there wasn't enough toppings or sauce and the crust was pretty soggy. The turkey and cheese sub wasn't anything special. The garlic cheese toast was pretty good though. Despite how busy it was the customer service was SUPER friendly. Maybe their pastas are better? We might make another attempt and see how that is in the future. read more

I wish we had the metabolism to eat here more often, really, because it's SUCH a gem. For fun, I counted how many pizza places are closer to home than here on the route to Doda's (t's 14) fyi...Today, we stopped in for early lunch at 1100 and had a lovely lunch. I think they reupholstered their booths since my last meal inside. Normally, we get takeout or delivery, but as you all know, these tasty items taste best when served fresh out of the oven or fryer! We had the meatball sub, 10 wings honey hot extra crispy, and an order of the zucchini. Delish!! The zucchini was a little oilier than we like, but if you're gonna eat deep fried veggies--you've probably already decided against the kale salad for the day....eat that tomorrow. Same lovely lady taking the order with that beautiful smile as usual, same young gentleman serving, and the wonderful gent cooking your meal by the ovens as expected. Don't go to the chains, folks! For the same price or less as crappy drive through fast food, you could have a quick and tasty lunch here. The value is here for sure!! Support independent businesses like Doda's! Spotlessly clean, old school neighborhood joint music and vibes, sports on the TV and the food is wonderful. I feel like I'm back East every time. It's great for family pizza Friday night, too.
