    Make your own Acai bowl
    Ricky P.

I came here with my gf and goddaughter for lunch. The customer service was great. The location was clean and with plenty of seating. The menu was good, but they were out of some ingredients. Regardless, the açaí bowls were perfect. The favors were rich and the fruits were fresh. For the price you get some much value and size. We all loved the bowls and plan to make this one of our regular spots for the weekend. I wish it was open later during the week. We would love to visit or DoorDash from here after work or school.

Definitely the best spot for acai in SLO. I love that this place offers pure acai sorbet and has chia pudding. I always do a build your own and the price has increased :( Chia pudding used to be a free add-on, but now it's an additional charge. Sometimes they're out of a few toppings as well. The workers are always friendly and make the bowls fast considering it can get busy. There seating partially indoors and outdoors! ig: @cravingswithcat

the acai project is my favorite acai bowl ever! the bowls are packed to the brim with acai, granola, and fruit and always leave me feeling full and satisfied. the fruit is always fresh and it's a perfect light breakfast or snack. the employees are all very nice and helpful and keep the area very clean and organized, despite having only a small space inside the CrossFit gym. I always come back to the acai project when I'm in slo and I will continue to do so!

Lots of seating and great acai bowls for a decent price! New go to place for a good acai bowl, especially cause they have so many options for fresh fruit.

The açaí project has delicious bowls! We are from out of town and we had a hard time finding the actual store front... even though the navigation says "you've arrived" we weren't sure where to go. This is actually located inside the cross fit gym... that's good to know! Delicious bowls, hard to find!

Best açai I've ever had! Great service and the staff were lovely, and a really cool shop with great ambience!

THE go to spot for acai in SLO. Located in lower level of a gym, the acai project has a range of treats for everyone. With both acai bowls and smoothies this spot can statsify any post workout craving. If you're a fan of creamy and thick acai you've come to the right spot. Not into acai, check out one of thier other bases such as blue majik or pitaya. We are especially fans of the granola and chia seed pudding! Bowls aren't exorbantly prices and comes packed with toppings! Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy a refreshing snack on a hot day.

Great açaí bowls and very accommodating staff! I got one of the pre made bowls and asked to swap some toppings and add extra almond butter. They were more than happy to help me and allowed me to put granola on the side as well. The fruit was all very fresh and crisp, fairly priced for what you get, and the açaí was also quite smooth rather than icy. Would definitely go here again to just grab a quick fruity fix after a workout. Has outdoor and indoor seating.

This shop is located inside a cross fit gym with a few options for seating inside and outside. I ordered a large and it was filling and tasty. The service was nothing terrible, nothing amazing. Overall, I enjoyed my açaí bowl but felt the experience was nothing special.

THE MOST SATISFYING AND TASTY AÇAÍ BOWLS IN SLO! Connected to a gym, this açaí bowl location is the perfect pick me up or after workout snack. The açaí is thick and smooth, creating the perfect consistency. With granola and toppings mixed into a perfect swirl within the cup, the toppings compliment the entire masterpiece. Each açaí bowl flavor is unique and delicious! Feeling tropical fruits? They have it! Want protein? They have it! Any topping you desire, they probably have it! One of my favorite toppings is bee pollen!

This might be my new favorite açaí bowl place!! I love the interior and how there are seats outside as well! First off, the employees are really nice and friendly! They said their most popular was "I like it SLO" açaí Bowl and I got that in a large size $9.99! It was really good and I love how they put a lot of açaí and toppings!! I also got the Make My Own Açaí Bowl Large $9.99 with the bases: matcha, blue majik, açaí and toppings (5): strawberry, blueberry, banana, almonds, almond butter The Blue Majik and Matcha bases are really good! I've never tried Blue Majik and it's really refreshing, it tastes similar to blueberries and raspberries?? (Maybe it's just me) the Matcha base is also a refreshing green tea and I love how all the bases taste differently without influencing the other bases and taste well with one another!!! I also got the C24 Smoothie with Whey Powder $7.99 (one size only)! 4/5 it's blended very thick, but tastes great! Highly recommend trying this place!

I am often reluctant with berry flavors and wonder how sweet it's going to be. Sometimes it's just too much. But this one wasn't bad at all and the sweetness was subtle and none of it was overpowering so that was a good experience! Another Kombucha was the Stawberry Limemade. Another berry oriented flavor again but with strawberry I can usually roll with that pretty well in most cases. But with the lime at play it too was subtle, pleasant and refreshing to have with those two primary flavors playing off of each other. The third and final one was the Pink Grapefruit. Absolutely no worry with this one on being too sugary since Grapefruit is the opposite but it too was well balanced, well flavored and not too bitter. Very good experience with this Kombucha place and I will be on the lookout for other engaging flavors in the future by them!

I put a couple of people onto Whalebird and they love the booch as well. My go-to is the Lavender Lemonade for classic kombucha and the Island POG for the alcoholic variants. Also really enjoyed their new LITE line they released. Sadly, I recently went to their taproom recently and they had to close down I'll still support via the web! Just ordered my 16-can pack yesterday. Keep going team @ Whalebird. PS - can you get some places in the Bay Area to carry your stuff?

We arrived at 6:30 pm, which was a good time since the food and drink lines grew from 6:50 pm onwards. I recommend heading out 10 minutes early in case you get lost. Our rideshare drove past the alleyway entrance twice lol. They didn't see the small printed sign for Bang The Drum Brewery on the metal fence. Go down the alley and turn left, following the signs for Bang the Drum at Suite 160 (not 130). Then, walk up the ramp towards the foresty tree area; there will be another sign for the brewery. We saw an outdoor patio and several indoor tables with names printed on them for trivia night. No one checked our tickets, but the staff we interacted with were nice. Walk-ins for trivia night can claim any unmarked table. Luckily, our table was far back so I didn't need to use my ear plugs. It would have been too loud for me if we were next to the speakers. I enjoyed the event and didn't have problems with the logistics. My only complaint would be that questions were much harder than I thought. Many references were geared towards the older millennial generation. DRINKS ORDERED - Pinot Noir ($12 - Stephen Ross). It was good. Normally I don't like dry wines, but I appreciated the light body without tannins. The wine had dark cherry notes. - Rose ($10). It was just okay; I preferred the pinot over this. - Kelsey Blood Orange Cider ($9). It had a good balance of fruit and bitterness with a savory taste. The cider was dryer than I expected, but I enjoyed it more than the other one. - Kelsey Pineapple Cider ($9). It was just ok. I didn't taste the pineapple, but it was slightly sweeter than the blood orange. My bf seemed to enjoy his Lucky Day IPA ($8) and also went for the pinot. FOOD ORDERED - Soft Pretzel with Beer Cheese ($6.50). Chewy pretzel with a dark crust and big sprinkles of salt (but not too salty). The beer cheese tasted great; we ate it all up! - Spicy Veggie Curry Pot Pie ($10). The pie was ultra flaky and soft. I enjoyed the mild curry filling inside. Delicious! DESSERT ORDERED - Blueberry Mascarpone Pie ($5.50). It tasted alright. The blueberries were not so flavorful, and neither was the mascarpone cheese. There was too much moisture in the filling. While parts of the crust managed to stay crumbly, it also lacked flavor.

Seemed to close early, 8pm, for a brewery, but I guess it's a quieter area. Arrived past 7, hoping we can still get food and we were still good for food and beer! Ms. Kristie was so efficient and friendly and awesome, hustling back and forth from reception to seating and dropping by to check on all the patrons. Like a one woman show! I went for the Peanut butter falcon since I like a good brown beer. The peanut butter was initially nice, but it kinda became tiring as the sips went along, since peanut butter seemed a bit much over the beer. Got wife the German Pilsner and that was excellent! Smooth with a hint of malty sweetness too! I am thinking maybe the Lawn Order blonde ale is probably going to be great as well, but too full from late lunch to consume more than one. For food, went with the birria melt and the salmon salad. Birria melt had some awesome authentic flavors to it! Kid devoured it with the consomme. I enjoyed a quarter of it, but too full, so worked out perfect since kid didn't want to share more either, lol. Salmon salad was perfect! Pan seared on both side for that wonderful crust yet tender goodness. Salad dressing with cherry and almond slices made this salad so enjoyable while staying lighter. Was not expecting such salmon from a brewery, excellent food here!
