    Brussels Sprouts

My friends made reservations on a Friday here, so I looked on line and noticed several bad reviews. So, I went in thinking the worst. My wife and I got there early and sat at the bar for drinks. We ordered Old Fashioned's, we did noticed that their liquor selection was low quality for Franklin standards. Looking around very few people were in the bar and very few seated at tables. We got seated at 6:15 still very few people there. As our waitress Miroun showed up a spark in our experience got a lot better. She was honest and very engaging with us! Still very few people in the restaurant. For food we ordered Monkey Bread and Brussels sprouts for appetizers. Loved the Monkey Bread, Brussels, if you follow me they are not my jam. I then ordered the Wedge, and it was very good. For an entree I ordered the filet Oscar style with a Loaded Mashed Potatoes, both very good with good flavor. Then we all shared a carrot cake. As I read the reviews earlier most said the service was terrible, thanks to Miroun our service was excellent! If you decide to try them again, ask for Miroun, she will take care of you! Cheers!

My husband and I recently visited for a date night. No complaints as far as service goes. Our waitress was kind and served us well. The food presented to us was another story. I gave 2 stars strictly based on the food received. Honestly 2 stars is generous and the only saving grace of our experience here was the bread we ordered (not provided like at most other "high end" restaurants). Before arriving I had chosen my salad of choice due to what was pictured on the website menu. Needless to say it looked nothing like I expected from viewing the original. Our server was nice enough to return it to the kitchen and take it off our bill although there was no offer to "try again" or provide another salad. Our hamburgers were ordered medium well and the outside was black and charred while the inside appeared pink and not fully cooked. It was unfortunate we ended up paying way too much for the product received. We want this local place to succeed but we will not be back.

The one on top was a darker shade of orange. Salty and spicy compared to the other. Also, hardly any grits. Mainly "shrimp and roux."

The steak sandwich is served on a ciabatta roll. It has Filet mignon, Gruyere cheese, grilled red pepper & onions, garlic mayo, and creamy horseradish. The house salad has Romaine, arcadia blend, heirloom cherry tomatoes, carrot ribbons, cheddar cheese, bacon, garlic croutons, and watermelon radishes (which are an added bonus because they aren't in salads I've ordered at other places. ) The house roasted jalapeno honey vinaigrette put this salad over the top. I was hesitant to order, by the name of it. I thought it may be too spicy, but it's not spicy at all. It has the best flavor, and I have to admit I order the salad sometimes just because I have such a craving for that yummy dressing. I've never had anything like it, anywhere else. The grilled cheese sandwich is different too. It's served on Challah bread with garlic butter. It has bacon, roasted tomatoes, sharp cheddar cheese, and avocado. I wouldn't normally order a grilled cheese at restaurants, but I look forward to eating this one! My friend ordered the garlic bread appetizer for us, which was good too. It was Sourdough bread with garlic, basil, and extra virgin olive oil. It was served with house-made marinara. The marinara made me wish I had more of it and some pasta to serve it on. We finished our meal off with crème brûlée. Yum! I've never ordered anything at this place, and it not be delicious. I hope I can eventually venture out on the menu, because I'm sure every item I try will not disappoint. To add, if you want really good service in a very nice atmosphere, go here.

As time went on we noticed it started taking longer to get his attention. Not once were we asked if we wanted another drink and we sat at the bar for over 2 hours. We did eat dinner which was pretty good. I ordered the NY strip with truffle butter and I didn't think it was the best steak I've ever had but it was pretty good. I would order again. My mom ordered the steak frites. It was good, but she didn't like the peppercorn sauce. I think if that's your thing it would be good but it just wasn't her taste preference. We also got a side of broccoli gratin. Very good. Cheese and broccoli... what's not to like? Overall I would say I had a decent experience. I'd like to go again and maybe try something else and sit at a table.

The facilities are truly unmatched when it comes to cleanliness. We've even observed how thorough the team is with their cleaning routines - nothing is left unsanitized, and it really shows in how well the restaurant is maintained. Tonight we ordered something we somehow had never tried before: the chicken fajita fries. I am SO disappointed... in MYSELF for missing out for the past nine years on what is now officially my favorite Tito's dish! The chicken was slightly and perfectly charred, the vegetables were flavorful and grilled to perfection, and the fries were crispy rather than mushy -topped with a delicious creamy sauce that brought the whole dish together. On top of that, it's finished with sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo. Absolute perfection. Side note: if you enjoy a little heat, ask for some of their house-made habanero sauce. It pairs beautifully with this dish. I already can't wait to go back and order this again and again!

Also ordered a chicken enchilada and chile relleno to go. Not a fan of their version of tortilla soup as it is a dark broth versus the clear broth we find in Southern California. And it was salty. The enchilada and relleno were both delicious. Chips and salsa were good but the salsa was a little too tomato tasting and slightly watery. Online ordering worked well. I got there at the time they said it would be ready but still had to wait ten minutes.

This was the email I sent: "Two friends and I had a 7:15 PM reservation at Culaccino on January 10. Our server was Lee. Things started out fine, but we found ourselves quickly being subjected to Lee's somewhat aggressive approach to service. He honestly was the least personable server I've ever experienced, and had a very condescending manner. A misunderstanding occurred on my friend's order. She was brought a dish with pork in it, which was not what she ordered. Mistakes happen, but Lee was not at ALL nice or accommodating about it, laying the blame on her, and bringing it up multiple times during our meal, with a snarky and resentful undertone. After we paid, he walked up, dropped our checks, and walked away without a word. It was the first time in my life I've ever been tempted to leave zero tip. My conscience for some reason would not allow me to follow through on this, but it was as undeserved as any gratuity I've ever left. We wanted dessert, but we ended up going elsewhere due to how we'd been treated. We also had no clue we would be charged $6 a person for water! Perhaps something that could be mentioned during the ordering process. I've honestly never had a more disappointing dining experience. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant and had hoped to come back for a date night, but our experience left such a bad impression, I can't imagine spending additional money here. I'm not sure if other diners have had this experience with Lee, but we certainly did not feel welcome or valued as customers and felt it was important to make you aware." The food was fine, but most dishes needed salt- so basic. The lack of response from management, however, really says everything one needs to know about Culaccino. I'd truly recommend spending your dining dollars elsewhere.
