I have been going to Ludlow Animal Clinic since Dr. Carson. love Dr. Eva. I really don't want to ever see another vet. However, I called Friday and was by the receptionist I would get a call back which I never did. I called to follow up today and was told by the receptionist that she called back and I made/missed an appointment yesterday. nobody ever called back. I'm mailing my phone records today to prove I never received a call back and the receptionist never spoke to me. I didn't deserve her attitude today and I'm all set with her diagnosing my dogs. she does it all the time and has yet to be right. just answer the phone, call back when you say you will and don't give a customer an attitude when you call back. read more

We have been going here for several years up until a few says ago. We brought our dog in for a routine spay. When we brought her home on day one she just wasnt the same. The days following she got worse. On the 4th day (Sunday) she needed to be rushed to an emergency clinic. I must stress that this dog was babied. We followed all post op care to a T. Our dog ended up dying at the ER. We informed Dr. Bacon of our dog's passing only to be blamed by Dr. Bacon of our neglect. She gave us a condescending phone call blaming us for not following after care instructions. We are a couple who does not have children . This dog was a huge part of our family. Dr. Bacon blamed us through the entire phone call after our huge loss. We changed vets the following day. The surgery was not performed properly. When we questioned Dr. Bacon she immediately blamed us and simply gave a rude Im sorry. If you love your pet at all please dont bring them here. read more

This is an older Google review I submitted, but as the receptionist is still hanging up and berating clients on the phone (and clearly the Vet allowing it), I feel compelled to continue to share my story. I am in awe of the treatment I just received from the reception desk at this facility.....We had used another local Vet for years and had always been pleased, as the past Vet in this location was a bit eccentric....hearing a new lady was in town, I was excited to try the location in our hometown (we like supporting local). The first experience wasn't great (but mostly because of COVID and not being able to go in- our dog was awful and scared. I felt bad for the people working there as it wasn't optimal for any of us- I even left an extra $15 to get the ladies coffee the next day....I was embarrassed). Trying again on sedatives, they agreed to see him again (he is 125 lbs and needed to be carried in)....Dr. Bacon is exceptional and we really loved her....I am so disappointed in how things transpired....either my dog ended up sick (diarrhea) from a dog at the appointment (there was another dog in our examination room that was caged) or from me and my husband having COVID....who knows he could just have an upset stomach, but we have been there twice (basic vaccinations and follow-up from emergency Vet appointment for something completely unrelated). We also had been to the emergency Vet in Hartford once (3 total visits since Sept). I simply called today asking to see about something for his stomach without sedating him to bring him in (it is quite the undertaking). A younger girl asked about dietary changes. I thought she meant did I switch his food. I called back to clarify, another receptionist refused to put her on....stated if I am unhappy, why do I continue to come there if I bash them on Facebook. I said I don't....she said, yes you do, "I have a copy"....Maybe I should go somewhere else, and that, "I continue to do what I want". We have spent 1k this month alone on our dog. At no point do I need her attempting to treat me like garbage. PS, he is the 3rd dog we have rescued and I am an avid activist for animal rescue/rights....Seeing the recent comments, clearly she is allowed to go rogue and degrade the clients when she disagrees with anything they may be doing. Thank you for reiterating my options; I will exercise them. I have never had problems in the past with any professionals caring for myself or my pets....Also commenting on a community site that my experience wasn't great, mostly because of COVID and my dog doesn't warrant her behavior.... read more

called multiple times to get pricing and how it works to put my dog down, a dog that they've treated, and's is sick, and was always told " I'll have to call you back", they never did. last phone call the woman answering the phone was horribly rude and all she kept saying was " it seems you're not happy with us", no I'm not. not when I've called multiple times and nobody could ever call me back. if you don't want to help me with this just say so, don't ignore a customer, very rude and will never go to them again. they said my dog was fine, he's not and has been deteriorating, I don't want him to suffer but they can't be bothered. shame on them read more

Horrible vet not only was she rude to me but to my cat. We use to go there for my dog sadly she passed away, loved the vet. This new vet is so mean I quote "get luekium shot or she might not be here next 2 years" well I sure won't be going to that clinic anymore. Wonderful vet and staff. I've never had to wait. Office is convenient and accessible. Very caring and knowledgeable professionals.

I called to make an appointment for a spay and was informed that I was no longer active because of missed appointments which I understand. But when I went to ask how long ago my last appointment was the receptionist said, "It doesn't matter because you're no longer active have a good day.", and hung up in my face. It's fine if I don't qualify for appointments anymore but this kind of treatment to people is unnecessary. I have to agree with the other reviews that just based on this interaction, this business is not worth the patronage. read more

The Receptionist is Absolutely rude and unbearable to deal with. I was denied the right to speak with the veterinarian if I were to call and leave a message to return my call at her earliest convenience. I completely understand during business hours she is busy however for the receptionist to outright say to me, she will not speak to you, is beyond disrespect. She asked me to leave and attempted to close the door on me as i was walking out. As a paying client, we have the right and choice to choose a respectful vet to take care a member of our family. We entrusted Dr.Eva and her assistants to take Excellent care of our pets, only if this receptionist could have the same respect for the business she represents. Dr. Eva Rodriguez save my dog's life. She diagnosed him correctly right off the bat and got him on a series of medications that cured him of his IMHA. We took him to Tufts for a blood transfusion and they wanted to start him on chemo therapy...diagnosing him with cancer. Dr. Eva had it right immediately. Chesney has been clear of IMHA for the last three years and doing great!! Dr. Eva and staff are compassionate and loving to their patients and their families. read more

I was required to wait in the car with my dog, understandably, but when I went to leave after my appointment they allowed a very unfriendly dog (their words) to wait in the waiting room and made me not be able to leave to accommodate that dog instead of making that dog wait in the car like everyone else. will not be going back, do not go there if you care about your animal, they will not show any empathy towards you as a customer. would rather go anywhere else. read more

Dr. Eva is the BEST, I am one of those nervous pet owners who needs to talk everything out, and she is so patient and kind. My two cats are going to be very well taken care of. I had called in stating that I would be late to my dogs appointment, and instead of being sympathetic, the ugly Receptionist, is going to say "well you shouldnt be late if you were waiting on this appointment for weeks". Initially I had no issues with this office until recently on 2 occasions was mistreated on the phone by the receptionist. First time she was short and abrasive, couldn't be bothered to hear why I was calling after I mentioned my dog had been attacked. The second time a few months later I called about a script that was misplaced by the recipient. I was just looking for them to re-fax it but she immediately became defensive and out right rude and hung up on me. My initial reaction was that the call was disconnected by accident, I called back again and was again yelled at and hung up on a 2nd time. I was in total disbelief but left it alone. When I was there for a follow up appointment a few days later, I wanted to bring it up to Dr. Rodriguez for awareness. As soon as I tried to bring it up she immediately became defensive without even hearing my side. My dog was already in the back and she asked if I wanted to proceed with the appointment! I was there, why would she even ask me this! I had never had an issue with the Dr which is why I was there in the first place but the lack of respect I received from her as well I knew I wouldn't be returning. Rude and unprofessional is the only way to describe Ludlow Animal Clinic. When I tried to ask questions about their "no pet owners allowed inside" policy my phone call got turned over to a nasty staff member who refused to answer any questions and promptly hung up on me. I called back to try again and she hung up again. She also refused to tell me her first name. My pets used to have exceptional treatment and service there, but that staff is sorely in need of more education and training in customer service. I had a wonderful experience at Ludlow animal clinic! I needed to establish with a new Vet after moving (they didn't yell at me for moving 2 years ago and finally getting around to bringing the cats in). I brought my two very famous cats in for a well cat appointment. They had great care. I appreciate their evening hours for us working cat moms. Dr. Eva Rodriguez is great! Explained things very well. Was not upset when one cat proceeded to urinate during his exam.... Extremely personable and enjoyable to interact with. #bestvetever! read more

I would never recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone. The staff are very rude, especially that Tammy. She will not let you get a word in edgewise and constantly talks over you. Not sure where they got her but they need to get rid of her. She also lied to me telling me the report from Deerfield Animal Clinic indicated my cat had permanent pain in one of his paws as a result of a recent declaw. Come to find out, the report never stated such. This was a blatant lie. She then went on to tell me how it's frown upon and wouldn't even listen to my reasoning why I had the procedure done. I have a bleeding disorder and in order for me to keep my cat I needed to have him declawed. I tried to make an appointment to have him checked out, possibly an injection or something that may help and they said I should find another vet. She said they were pissed that I had the procedure done. Again, there were reasons for this. I never in my life experience such rudeness from a business. Needless to say, I will be reporting this clinic to the veterinary board as they would not continue to help me and see my cat. I will be looking for another vet and requested my records ASAP! Again, worst experience of my life. Also, my cat has one eye that it watery and the vet said there is nothing wrong with his eye, he just has a watery eye, however, when I brought him to be declawed, he was prescribed eye drops. I now know why co-workers tell me that Ludlow Animal Clinic killed my pet. I could definitely see that happening if I remained a client there. Also, because of having to wait in the parking lot and not allowed to come in with your pet, my cat developed a respiratory infection that had to be treated, which I'm sure he caught at the vet clinic. Not being able to see how they sanitize the exam rooms prior to having your pet seen is not good. Again, terrible clinic with terrible staff, with below adequate veterinarians. read more

DO NOT BRING PETS HERE. This was my experience and I'm so sad to share because me and my family really like Dr. Eva but unprofessional, heartless, and rude people should not work in this type of career field. I am a first time dog owner but I've grown up with dogs for years, so I knew all the steps to take when getting my dog. She had most of her shots done at Ludlow Animal Clinic, as my mom brings her dogs there and said "Dr. Eva is great but you'll have to put up with some helpless staff" and boy have I. My puppy had an appointment for the end of July to be spayed, it was the perfect age to get it done, before she went into heat. Mind you I made this appointment in person and waited 2 months for it. Come July I called a few days before to see if they needed anything from me before coming in, this is when the AWFUL receptionist let me know I have no appointment scheduled. When I told her I was looking at the paper in hand that I had a date and time for the appointment, she checked the computer and apologized for her mistake. They did not have time for me to get in so they scheduled me out another month until august. Everyday I was terrified that my baby girl would go into heat before her surgery and that's just what happened. I got off work yesterday (the day before her appointment) and she was in heat. She was very sick and shaking, refusing to eat food, and very anxious. I called my grandmother who is a REAL VET TECH and she adviced me to reschedule for when My girl was not in heat. I called all morning to try and cancel and got nothing, I finally was able to get ahold of them and they said they would have "Carrie" I think her name is, the unprofessional employee that schedules surgery, call me back. When she called me all she cared about was that I wasn't coming and when I started to explain that I've been up since 6am trying to call every 30 min to get some info about my poor sick baby and reschedule she replied, "umm ya you could have called yesterday, why would you call the day of her appointment" I tried to reply kindly by telling her that my dog was not reacting to going in heat very well and I know that there are more complications going through with the surgery while she is in heat. The DISGUSTING WOMAN CARRIE then told me they never want to see my dog again and I told her she was sad and unprofessional and I would always do what's best for my dog even if that's and inconvenience to them. So again, maybe Dr. Eva will see this an make changes in employees. I think Carrie would do better at picking up animal feces rather than communicating with adults if she has no kindness in her heart for these animals. read more

They have helped us out multiple times! They pick up the phone, answer questions, and take your needs seriously. Here's just one example: We had an emergency two days after Christmas. Our kitten attacked a stray drop of spray insulation thinking it was prey. 30 seconds later, she is COVERED in the stuff! She spread it from her tail to her whiskers! I wrapped her up to keep her from trying to eat it as she tried to clean herself. She managed to get ALL of her whiskers in it which then wrapped around her muzzle and fused into place. We rushed her to the office and despite protocols they allowed me to pass her off swaddled rather than risk putting her in a carrier where she would begin eating the insulation off her fur again. They worked on her for hours removing as much as they could without causing injury. They were very kind explaining everything they did for her and how to help her as she recovered. Later on when I called to ask questions they were again friendly, informative, and helpful. read more

We tried to order NexGard for our 7lb dog. Chewy.com required a veterinarians name and contact information. We put it on the site and then contacted the veterinarian. They denied the prescription because they say they need to see our dog first at a cost more than what it cost for the flea and tick medicine. They said they need to see the dog before they can do a prescription for it. They want more money when we know how to take care of our dog. We don't need to bring the dog to them have them tell us he needs flea and tick medicine. It cost twice as much through them as it does online and that's why they want to see the dog so they can charge us more. Needless to say they just lost a customer read more
