First off, I had never heard of an insurance broker and had been using AAA for my policies for years. After getting rear-ended on a freeway two years ago and having to call for various follow-ups on my claim, I never spoke to the same person twice which was frustrating and made the whole process more exhausting and draining during an already stressful time. ANYWAY, nearly a year ago, my mother recommended Ludwig & Fawcett so I spoke with Judy, my mom's broker, who connected me with Molly and I cannot say enough good things about her and her service. Molly has been absolutely fantastic, incredibly communicative, and she has the patience of a saint. As my insurance needs have grown, she has answered all of my many questions about different policies, limits, add-ons, etc. When issues have come up with renewing my policies (gotta love these wildfires), she has gone above and beyond to find policies that will work to meet my needs. I've been a client of Ludwig & Fawcett for many years (mostly working with Judy Fawcett, but not only) and all I can say is that their service is absolutely impeccable! My every request is addressed with Amazon-like speed -- communicating via email with them feels almost like instant messaging in real time; all my emails are answered within an hour tops, if not faster. It's all very hands-off too: I usually just informally say "I need this and that", and Judy and Co. take care of the mundane details, making all the necessary changes to the policies, providing me with the requested documents, and all that usually the same business day. Poor and delayed service. I did not find any added value that they bring to the table. After over 5 years being with them, I decided to take all my insurance to GEICO where I found dealing with the 1-800 much more efficient and responsive than dealing with these folks. I never made a claim on any of my insurance with them luckily. But if I needed a quote, or a clarification on a question about my insurance they got back to me on average 3-5 days. Unacceptable time to respond. If I ever needed to claim on a policy I am sure their time to respond would be much longer. read more

There's a reason why they are still here and flourishing, it's because their pricing is still competitive with the online vendors, but they provide unparalleled personal service. I don't think it's ever been more than 5 minutes before my agent called me back, if they weren't there on my first call. Our insurance broker Maria Carranza completely misinformed us of coverage on our personal liability despite the fact that in our email correspondence she said one thing, but really she had it all wrong. In fact her lack of knowledge on a policy she sold us cost us literally thousands when we had to make a claim. It took her 9 days to even respond to my husbands inquiry about our coverage. I'm nearly 40 years old, lived in three countries and have dealt with insurance for both car and personal for over 20 years. I've never dealt with this level of incompetence before.
