Prosciutto panini with side salad
Alana K.

I came here recently for lunch with my family. I had the prosciutto panini. All the paninis come with a side of salad, which was very good. The panini had prosciutto, mozzarella, and tomato. I wish there had been more prosciutto and that the sandwich had been pressed longer/was hotter, but it wasn't bad. Beautiful interior of the restaurant and good service.

Tuna Tartare

Came here the day after the blizzard and had a great time with the staff! Ordered 6 oysters, kale caesar salad, tuna tartare, and rigatoni alla vodka. Everything was amazing and came out fast. Joe was a very welcoming and friendly host and Kris was very attentive behind the bar. I would definitely come back!

Lobster Fettuccine

Cute interior and friendly service. Food was much better than anticipated. Menu is varied so will def be coming back to try more items. Tried the eggplant rollatini which was good but a bit too much cheese. Lobster fettuccine and gnocchi sorrento were cooked perfectly. Gnocchi wasn't too mushy and sauce was great. Tiramisu for dessert was yum.

Raw oysters, tuna tartare, fig bruschetta, Aperol Spritz, and Sangiovese

Happy Hour FTW! We stopped by to have an after-work drink, and we loved it! We sidled up to the bar ordered a half dozen raw oysters, the tuna tartare, and the fig bruschetta. Everything was delicious! And the drink deals were amazing. Having a Sangiovese at happy hour prices was mind blowing- you never see that on a happy hour menu! O The staff were attentive and were quick with both our drinks and food. Look-wise, Lugano has a definite New York feel. Clean and well-lit with an old school vibe. Super happy with Lugano, and we will certainly be back!

Brussel Sprout Salad

My delicious Brussel Sprout Salad has me in the Holiday spirit looking like a Christmas tree. Every time we come the food is excellent. Recommend the butternut squash gnocchi, meatball sampler, spinach salad, Brussels salad, penna alla vodka. Never had a bad dish here. The only thing better than the food is the service!

This review will be a bit shorter than usual. I went here with a group of people (two of whom were regulars) and didn't take out my phone for any photos of the food, nor did I write down what we ordered. What I can say is the tapas are fantastic! My main dish, Pappardelle Scarpariello, was decent. It didn't blow me away but the serving was large so I saved half of it for lunch the next day. The venue was quite loud for dinner and we had to talk even louder to hear each other. Despite drinking a ton of water throughout the night (which the wait staff kept filled along with placing pitchers on the table) I still left with a raw throat. I would love to come back and try some of the salami... but maybe during lunch time.

A refreshing spot in the area. Hits the spot with food, beverage, space and service. Has live music on certain days.

Skirt steak with asparagus, truffle fires and red wine sauce- love the description, didnt love the execution. Steak was too charred- blackened, turning it bitter and not good for people to consume meat blackened that way! Grill marks are one thing but this was too much black. Didnt taste good. Meat itself was also pretty flavorless and a bit chewy. Red wine sauce wasnt great, and I love almost all red wine sauces! Asparagus were cooked well. Also the fries- these are sysco food service fries. A restaurant at this caliber should do better. Go to the elm in new canaan, try their fries. And while youre at it, try to up your ingredient quality they way they do- no seed oils, etc. makes a huge difference and would play well with the greenwich crowd!

On weekends, they have a two-course lunch pre fixe, which has a wide variety of options to choose from, which was great. I chose: - Appetizer: Tuna Tartare - Main: Mushroom & Asparagus Risotto The restaurant wasn't full but the service was a bit slow. Especially after our appetizers, we had to wait quite some time for our main dish to be served. The dishes were well-presented, although not the best seasoned. The tuna tartare had too much soy sauce on it and you couldn't taste the tuna. The risotto, on the other hand, was a bit bland. Depending on your preference, I'd recommend trying other dishes.

The restaurant was fairly empty but it filled up midway through our dinner. It's lively and nicely decorated. We ordered drinks first, and the cocktail menu had some nice options. Too sweet for my taste so I ordered wine. Simple collection to choose from. Then we had the lamb meatballs. They were very good, especially with the sauce. Not gamey. The fried artichoke was definitely a hit with the dipping sauce. Some of the pieces were a little too dry and I didn't taste much artichoke overall. The roasted romaine was a nice take an a Caesar salad. Grilled asparagus is self explanatory. The pizza was really good but I avoid gluten now so I only had 2 bites; husband loved it. I had the scallops which were too rubbery for my taste. I was hungry so I finished the whole plate after another round of drinks. The staff was attentive and professional. There were smiles at our arrival as well as departure. We were very happy with the experience here. We will come again!!
