    Broiled Pork Chop

Been here a few times now and it's an awesome BYO italian place that has a really unique menu and friendly staff. The highlights for me are the grilled octopus appetizer, the margherita pizza, fried calamari and the pork chops Ciambotta. Easily would recommend for a nice little italian spot but definitely make reservations becuase it can get crowded fast

Disappointed - We called ahead and were able to reserve a table for 5:30 on a Friday night. We were seated right away and before we knew it the place became very busy. The servers were friendly and attentive but we felt rushed through our dinner. They start by serving a bread basket but we observed another table ask for focaccia instead, I'll remember if we go again, but most likely not returning. Next came out our salad , then quickly after that our fish dish and pizza came. We barely had time to Finish our glass of wine over dinner . We sat at 5:30 and we received our check and walked out at 6:05. That's wayyyy too fast to digest and enjoy our our food and dinner out. Food- the seabass special was delicious. The pizza had a nice sweet taste to it. The crust was light but soggy and barely had any of the toppings on it that we ordered. Ambiance - cozy old work Italian vibe with bakery attached. Unfortunately We left unimpressed

I can't believe I have never here before. First of all, the service is amazing. The waiter split our meal and bough out extra bread without even asking. The ambiance is fun and the owner even sings. But the food stole the show. The pizza was fabulous. The wood-grilled pork chop was one of the best pork chops I ever had. It's a BYOB, so grab your favorite bottle of wine and a friend, enjoy a great meal.

International Police Association-Newark Region 48 (I.P.A) March 2025 monthly meeting at Queen Margherita Trattoria in Nutley, NJ. I can't describe this restaurant any better than their own website description, "Quaint & cozy BYOB eatery dishing up traditional red-sauce Italian meals in a relaxed atmosphere". From the appetizers to a finale of cappuccino and dessert, everything was outstanding. Each dish was clearly carefully prepared and presented, and each serving tasted as good as it looked. Appetizers included family style servings of fried calamari, stuffed mushrooms, and pizza. Not only was everything delicious, each serving was very generously sized. Following was (again family style) your choice of pasta (penne ragu and penne vodka). Individual choices of entrees included either chicken franchise, veal parmigiana, or snapper livornese. The meal ended with an array of assorted Italian pastry and espresso/cappuccino. Wow, what a great meal. Not to forget the friendly, welcoming, and attentive service throughout the evening. They definitely made us feel at home. As an added bonus the restaurant is also attached to a very impressive and mouth watering bakery section with tons of breads, cakes, Italian pasty, and more delectable Italian treats. I couldn't resist and went home with a couple of pizza breads and some pastry. I was impressed with Queen Margherita, and I would highly recommend you stopping in. 03/05/2025

12" personal "Arugula" pizza - very good.

Wonderful, family-owned restaurant. They sat us fairly late on a weekday night and were very friendly and eager to talk about their establishment, how long they've around, sister restaurants they own, etc. Nice people. The Pasta Fagioli soup was the best I ever had - so much flavor! For entrees, we had the gnocchi, personal pizza with arugula, prosciutto and I asked for some hot sopressata- no problem! For dessert, they own Aroma di Napoli bakery next store and the selections were endless! I had the limoncello cake is it was awesome! Great BYOB experience overall ! We'll be back!

Guy seemed overwhelmed and reluctantly took my order. I showed up 30 min later and no one had any record of my order. I recognized the guy's voice and told him he took my order. He was pissed and got into a shouting match with me with 3 other customers around. He eventually apologized and offered a free side of meatballs and spaghetti (don't order that btw, super underwhelming). 2nd time: Wife placed an order for a pie with half pepperoni on their website. Came back with the order and the pie had full toppings. Small nit but annoying. 3rd time: I called at 6pm on a Thursday. No one picked up. Opted to place order on their website and got the same item as last time. Showed up at and the same miserable guy asked for my name and order... and then said he didn't have any order. I told him I placed an order on the website... and he said "You should have called." with an awful (only a mother can love) grin. I showed him my email confirming 6:20pm pickup time and he said he had no order... before pulling a pie with my name on it. I asked if it had half pepperoni and it didn't. Full toppings AGAIN. Clearly, their website is not equipped to actually take half toppings orders. Pizza is OK but not worth the headache or poor service here.

Pros: - Quick and friendly service - Crunch bottom pizza slices for those who love eating it this way - Opens late on the weekends until 2am - Want coffee?? Dunkin is next door but they close a lot earlier than here Cons: - Limited seating area - Small parking lot but late night there's always a spot Come check them out for a late night slice!

I decided to dine in (but at the last minute had to change it to go) and ordered my go to brick oven pie .... Margarita with Arugula (arugula goes on top after the pie is done) . The best pie I've ever had was at a place in Northern VA and I must say Emilio's pie gave them a run for their money! The chew and char of the dough, with the perfectly balanced sauce and fresh mozzarella topped with arugula leaves ... truly perfection in a pie! The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because I didn't get the full dine in experience as I hoped due to a little delay due to the kitchen being super busy, but I will be back :)

They have some seating inside and when it is nice outside, there is a good space for more outdoor seating. I always suggest calling ahead to try and reserve a space, just in case it is a very busy night! As for the food, I always have had good food here! Their speciality is pizza, but do not take their wings (or as they say "Wangz") for granted. Typically on Wednesdays (also double check this if you plan to leverage it when you call to reserve), if you purchase a pizza, you can then unlock the ability to get $1 wings! For the Wangz specifically, my favorite is the Cracked Black Pepper ones. These wings typically are not small and have a good amount of meat in them! The flavor of the pepper blends goes very well with them! For the pizza, I have tried many of their speciality pies. Some of my favorites include: - Hot Julia - Red pie w/ Pepperoni, Riccota & Pecorino cheeses, Basil, & Hot Honey - Spicy Calabrese - White pie w/ Gargonzola, Nduja (spreadable pork sausage) & Calabrian Chillies - Prosciutto & Argula - Red pie - The Otto - Red pie w/ Anchovies & Capers These pies are made Neapolitan style and the dough has great flavor! If Neapolitan your style of pizza, you will enjoy it here! Oh and even if the menu does not mention it, they do serve dessert! Ask your server with what they have for the night! I really enjoy the styles of gelato they rotate on the menu!

We spotted Blue Steel which had good, modern curb appeal to our hungry tummies. It looks like downtown Bloomfield is having a moment with some new condos and nicer restaurants coming in. Thanks, gentrification!? Inside has a clubby, bar vibe and we were seated at a hightop near the bar. I love a good wedge salad. I prefer the classic but I appreciate BSP's variation that has tomato, cucumbers, crispy frizzled onions, feta cheese, homemade ranch dressing, and everything sprinkle seasoning. It was generously sized and refreshing. And there's nothing but good things to say about the Detroit-style ezzo pepperoni pie, except that i wish I had a bigger stomach to eat MORE. After the salad (shared), I was only able to manage one slice, but it was a happy slice. My first time trying Detroit-style and it didn't disappoint. PS: There's a tiny, very lumpy and bumpy parking lot in the back that is very tricky to maneuver back out of. If it hadn't been for an Uber driver who got briefly trapped back in there with me, I might still be there today

There is no…read moreshortage of pizza, as they have anywhere from 2,000 to 3,000 pizza restaurants using their family recipe to make some of the best pizzas in America. As the third-largest producer of tomatoes in the entire country, this key pizza-making ingredient not only sets New Jersey's classic 'tomato pies' apart from any ordinary pizza. This 10,000-square-foot, two-story establishment with a neon-lit sign on Glenwood Ave in Bloomfield asks, "Just another pizzeria?" They also house a 20-seat speakeasy that's open Thursday through Saturday called the Rab.bit Hole that can be found upstairs behind a hidden entrance. Opened in 2020, Blue Steel Pizza Company is the answer and should become obvious after looking at the menu. A reservation was easily made via Resy. My partner and I were greeted at the host station and got a regular table in the 1st-floor dining room by the pizza oven in the middle. The vibe was modern and industrial. Patrons had to use their phone flashlights to read the menu as the lighting was pretty dim. They are known for their Detroit-style pizza--a pie baked in a rectangular, traditionally blue-steel pan, the kind once used by autoworkers. It's made with a blend of mozzarella cheese and traditional Wisconsin brick cheese that melts down the side of the pie, making for a burnt, gooey, cheesy crust. It's cold-fermented for three days and is closer to sourdough. It has real flavor and an airier texture. It's like a lighter version of a Sicilian with a buttery crust. As a starter, we decided on the Chopped Salad. For our main entrée, we opted for the Jersey Tomato Pizza Pie. Portions run big enough for sharing, and we downed them with the 1911 Cider. The pizza crust was light, airy, and crispy with the right amount of fresh ingredients, making the ensemble tastefully delicious. The staff was attentive, friendly, and accommodating, and our server was Adam. The price was comparable to the area. We had a wonderful experience and would recommend this place.

I know it sort of changed management to a lovely guy whose name I don't remember who when he first took over came out with samples of delicious specialty pizza and warmly greeted everyone. I placed an order for delivery two days ago. The pizza was good as usual but the lentil soup was really salty, no exaggeration enough to overpower any taste of lentils - I added two cups of water and threw in some ditalini, added garlic, and it was still salty. I'm not sure why that would happen but here's a full proof way to make good lentil soup: per pound of dry lentils, first sautee a chopped medium onion, chopped large stalk of celery and a large or two medium size carrots, two cloves of chopped garlic in some olive oil, then add the lentils, and around 3-4 inches of water above the line of lentils and allow to simmer, don't add salt until it's closer to the lentils being cooked. People with high blood pressure or pregnant cannot handle the amount of salt that was added. It was worse than canned soup. I have ordered it before, last time was around 4 years ago and it was fine. Of course, it may just be an error or a new person making the soup. I have thought that since the change in management, maybe a seasoned Italian woman cook in the kitchen might be a good addition to at least train the staff. I get the impression that the staff are more pizza makers than cooks. I ordered an artichoke not long ago that tasted good but was not fully cooked, my friend ordered lasagne that was covered in mozzarella and was probably over microwaved or however it is heated, and was like paste. This isn't intended to be rude but to point out that for the most part I like your food but feel like certain things can use more care.
