I ordered online . When I arrived the door had a sign saying closed but they were open with a larger table full of diners and a bar of drinkers watching TV. I approach the counter there's a man there taking pics of the registers with his phone he looks up I'll be with you in a minute I said Ok thank You then oh let me get out of your way and moved to the side so he can continue taking pictures. Once done he just looked at me yelled for someone else and walked away behind a door . The other man came over and just stared me down for a moment I looked away and around me then to him again then he says "Um we not taking cash so I don't know what he was doing you can't order I said I ordered online ohhhh great that's great then that works what's your name and hands me the bag and walks away. The service was pretty good, you just order at the front and then find a seat, they buzz you when your order is ready. I can't say to much about the ambience since I got to-go. My family and I love this place, it has become our weekly spot. It's family friendly and casual but the food is great. Everything we've tried had been amazing but specifically the Philly cheesesteak, wings, burger and of course pizza. Just got two pizzas today from the Garrett station and I love them. Everyone there is super nice. The only thing I need to say negative is they need to spend more time cutting the pizza evenly... some big ones and some tiny ones. I love a good cheese pizza and heard so many good things about the pizzas at Garret Station. My gold standard for cheese pizza is High Five. Finally placed a to go order in order to settle it once and for all in my mind. I ordered a personal cheese pizza, which is my default pizza order. I found that the cheese pizza from Garret Station is a solid 2nd place to High Five. Garret Station uses more cheese. I love cheese but they really layered it on. The sauce and crust were not as flavorful but still good. I think the biggest difference is the price. Garret Station personal cheese pizza is literally twice the cost of High Five. So the question for me was settled. Garret Station is good but not as craveworthy as High Five pizza. In addition we ordered the onion rings (good, but High Five is better). Also ordered the cheesesteak sandwich, which was a definite winner and would highly recommend. If you choose to dine in the ambiance is typical pizza parlor vibe. Solid customer service. It's difficult to pit Garret Station against High Five as they're across town from each other. If I'm in Los Gatos then Garret Station would be my go to spot. I've been to this location many times and the service was decent. However, tonight was top notch and I needed to leave a review. It was very busy and there was only one person working that long line. He had a smile on his face and wasn't going to be defeated or intimated by how busy it was for him. Before I left I asked him what his name was, Donavan you deserve props for pulling this off tonight. The owners and management are so very lucky to have you. Thank you for a great experience tonight, it's was definitely worth the wait standing in that line and watching you do it with a smile. If you haven't been to this location, go. If your first visit wasn't great, go back, they deserve a second chance. Hopefully you score and get Donavan like we did tonight. Yes, the food was great too. A little slice of ghetto... Drunken idiots slamming pitchers of beer, yelling over each other while their kids terrorize anyone sitting near the arcade. The food is always good. Service was amazing the last time I was there with one of their managers asking me about my day and if I wanted anything while I waited on my pizza to finish cooking. I have been to their other location in Campbell multiple times and went here for the first time this week. It has a neighborhood pub-like feel, which I like. I have been coming here for quite a few years with my husband and some of his friends. The food is decent. I had Hot Pastrami sandwich. The pastrami was a little dry but tasty. One person at the table had Tuna sandwich and told others that the bread was a bit dry and so was the tuna. It happens, right. This is an absolutely wonderful establishment. We landed here in chaos with our two hungry little kids, 5 and 7, after a challenging appointment with their pediatrician. Uri, the manager, handled everything with incredible kindness and precision. The food we ordered was great! Uri made the visit phenomenal with his patience and kindness. For example, our 5-year-old promptly dropped a glass bottle of sparkling apple juice on the floor and it shattered. I freaked out, and looked up to see Uri's unbelievably kind and patient expression. He reassured us that things like this happen all the time. We also ordered a "big side" of feta cheese for our picky eater, and he brought out a huge bowl! We are back here again today with just our 5-year-old, and I can't believe I haven't posted this review yet. Think you're being smart by ordering and paying online? Nope. You have to stand in line to pick that order up, along with the 20 little league teams ahead of you! There's no separate mobile online queue. So your food might be ready, but will then sit then there and get cold. Learned that the hard way on a little league night, never doing it again. They have lost an order or two every few months from me. Sucks when it's a seller's market, since their food is great, but doubt they'll change for these edge cases. read more

Walking in I noted it had a old town home vibe with lots of wood decor (has this warm comforting feeling) they have indoor and outdoor seating with a mix of bench and chair seating. To order you walk up to the cashier station and order off the menu on the wall. I ordered The rye burger sandwich that came with grilled onions and a side of french fries and I added bacon of course ;D the bread had a really nice rye flavor, the burger was good (slightly on the salty side) tons of grilled onions (sooo good) yummy melted cheese,and lots of yummy crispy bacon. Great pizza and an amazing bacon burger! super cool service and really nice staff. Sports bar chic, with 15 tv (not sure about 15, but a lot) all on different channels. The pizza is on par with the other "jakes" pizza places. no fear getting anything here as the food is top notch. read more

Solid food all around, consistent for years. I am well into my 30s and came to Jake's/garrett/ the Garrett many times growing up. Pizza is uniquely its own. I wish they had thinner slices but regardless they are good! All of the Sandy's are good too. My go 2's are The Old Timer, Patty Melt, Santa Fe Salad Grilled Chk and the Philly. All of the pizza is good, lots of toppings! They don't play around. Nostalgic atmosphere of the late 90s back before the world went to H in a handbasket. They always have the game on, they host community baseball pizza nights (it can be busy on a random Wednesday etc) and the ppl working are always pretty friendly! I've stopped drinking lately but they always have had some good beer. Is it the best? No is it the worst? Far from, this place has been a staple for decades and continues to provide the vibes. Sure prices went up but what doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Fun place for group settings. Good with big parties. Lots of TVs for watching. Whatever game. Self-serve soda. Kid friendly. I came here for birthday party. There was a lot of pizza and it was delicious. I had a vegetarian pizza. It was excellent comfort food. We had an entire private area for the birthday party. It felt very separate from the rest of the restaurant, which was nice. It was real nice of them to host us like that. Definitely recommend for big parties. We've been coming to The Garret for years now because we love the Gilroy Special pizza. We ordered takeout from here the other night and the quality of the pizza has unfortunately gone downhill. We ordered one Gilroy Special and a pepperoni mushroom because they had a special deal going on. The crust was basically rock hard, we didn't even eat it and the dough was tough. Strange because the next day, the crust and dough were better? Some weird pieces/slices on the pizza too. The toppings were good though. We've always loved grabbing pizza from The Garret and it always used to be our go-to! Sad to see the quality of the food take a wrong turn. We'll probably give it another try whenever we're craving the Gilroy Special again, maybe it was just a bad day. read more

I love this unpretentious local favorite place--I come here OFTEN! The space is comfortable and relaxing, lots of booths, the beer and wine menu is good, the staff are friendly, and the cooks do a great job. I like that there is no table service, but there are also plenty of booths and you are welcome to stay as long as you like. It is a good place to meet friends. The food menu rarely changes--standard stuff like burgers and wings, etc. best burger is the The Old Timer with pastrami and a burger and the pizza is also very good--my favorite being the veggie pizza. You can get a single-serving pizza, which is great since I am usually the only person in my group ordering pizza. read more

Great pizza here and prices are still fairly reasonable! A medium is pretty big, probably what a large size is elsewhere. Beer on tap is really good. I had the 805 which I enjoyed. I think the pizza was around $33 which had Canadian bacon, pepperoni, sausage & hamburger. Would easily be at least $50+ elsewhere. Keep in mind though, not a ton of toppings but if you pay a bit more they'll double it I think. read more

I've been here multiple times, and I'm finally writing this review almost as a reminder not to come here again. My issue is only with the food: the people who work here and the location itself are solid and I've never had issues with either. However, here are my experiences eating here: * Ordered mozzarella sticks, fries and chicken wings a few years ago, and the chicken wings were dry and simply unappealing. Mozzarella sticks and fries were solidly fine, but the wings were really disappointing * Had burger with onion rings and double cheeseburger with onion rings on separate occasions, both solid, if somewhat expensive for a burger. * Recently, decided on coming back for a double cheeseburger. This time, it wasn't even a burger bun. I'm sure lots of people like coming here, but the onion rings have been the only consistently good thing I've gotten here. 2 stars is basically just for not a good bang for your buck. read more
