I been coming here for years. This place never seems to disappoint with their food. The waitress was very friendly. The food came out quick. I ordered the linguini with clam sauce. Oh man! So yummy. They had more clams than noodles. I hope this place will never change

Went for first time on Easter Sunday. My Brother always raved about this place. Getting inside I really like the Decor, very western vibe. Anyway my brothers favorite was always Sausage,Onions and Peppers. So that what I ordered plus a Clams Casino appetizer. Well let me start with everyone else was pleased with their orders, ( at least they weren't complaining, a good face no matter what? Possibly?) I cannot say the same. I don't believe there were any clams in the Clams Casino, at least I couldn't taste any. Very disappointing. Now let's get to my main course. How to you make sausages come out tough? Now I'm not a chef but I do cook for my family, and I've never been able to make sausage and peppers that require a steak knife to cut the sausage. (Usually I cook mine in tomato sauce and find it's often hard to serve they're so tender). Not so here. Now let's get to service. Now the server was nice enough, a very young woman, and we knew they were closing early, but I asked for some more bread and the girl got a deer in the headlight look and disappeared never to be seen again and nobody bothered to even look in our direction again, and the busboy brought us our check. All that being said, I will probably try this place again, but avoid the appetizers and the Sausage and Peppers. And if it's bad again ( and it's not a holiday cluster mess ). I'll just leave, cause if the kids aren't with me, I will make a scene. So maybe I'll revise this if I go back. But I'm willing to give them another shot on a non-holiday. But for now a reluctant two, and not a one because the kids and grandkids were happy.

Luigi's Rancho is a rustic style steakhouse, cowboy bar, and an Italian restaurant all rolled into one. Nicely prepared no frills meals that are delicious and filling. Steaks and Burgers are grilled on a perfectly seasoned and flavorful grill. Everything that comes off that grill is excellent and delicious. Nothing fancy about Luigi's just really good food and large portions. This area has just a few options for a sit down meal so this is one of the best local places to eat at. Definitely prepare to put your feedbag on at this restaurant either in the dining room or at the bar. Prompt and friendly service here and plenty of parking in the lot. Located right of Route 46 West.

Chicken francais with artichokes, chicken Marsala supremo

Consistently delicious, great staff, especially, candy and we love the nostalgic atmosphere. Thursday night is lobster night, we got there too late. So I had one of the specials, chicken and artichokes on rigatoni . It was so delicious. Salad and bread accompanied it. My husband has chicken Marsala supremo, he loved it. We could only eat half Can honestly say we have never had a disappoint here. I cannot say the same thing for several other restaurants who wailty seems to have compromised. A plunge is the trio of salt water lobster tails, one of the best meals ever. Lobster night with clams, corm, soup, served in a corona bucket, 32.95!! And Friday night prime rib, my husbands favorite . Great apps and lunch menu too.

Stacked chicken with eggplant spinach and Marsala wine sauce. One of the top 10 dishes I have ever had in my entire life!!!!

I go here as much as I can when I'm in NJ. It has great food and service. Love the old times feel. I just wish I didn't live in Wisconsin.

The customer service is a time capsule of an era where a business strived to make your visit special and memorable with quality food and great service and not by some trend or gimmick. One thing that is not in the past is their skilled ability to provide a safe meal for those who are vegan, gluten free and or dairy free. I've never been to a restaurant that can turnout amazing authentic Italian food made with regular flour while also being able to provide a safe gluten free and or dairy free alternative of the same caliber. They have an efficient system that makes it clear there are people with dietary restrictions at the table and they take it very seriously. With all those great things to say, the food is what is worth writing home about. A gluten free chicken Parmesan that no one would ever guess was gf! A delicious gf df chocolate lava cake to end the meal was such a treat and was delicious. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable and attentive, they're a well oiled machine! And it was very nice for the grandson of the original founders to walk around and talk to us, not just a how is everything tonight kind of stop either, he really took the time to make pleasant conversation about the World Cup and ask how our son did at his soccer tournament. They have been around for 56 years and if our visit was anything to go off, they'll be around for another 100 years!

The way they show pictures of "today's specials" on an iPad type device is a nice touch. The meatball app had good flavor as well as the ricotta that came with it. The fiancé had the pear purse which is always a very good. Also the Eggplant Pisa salad that came with my lunch paring was very very good and I would eat it again!!! The bad. The meatball app, although tasty, was only two small meatballs (basically the size of a soup spoon!!) for 15 bucks. So I don't care for the cost compared to the value you get for it. Also I am a snob for chicken parm and this chicken was overcooked and dry. The bread crumbs were soggy and would have been forgiven if the chicken itself wasn't so overcooked and dry!!!! My over all is this. Been to mamas many times before this review and I think they are worth your time (even more so during dinner time!). They do more things right than they ever do it wrong. So I would still recommend going. I just wouldn't recommend it to the New Jersey Chicken parm Facebook page........

The Risotto Balls are a must-order. I've honestly never had anything like them before, and we finished every last bite. The gazpacho was so refreshing with a spicy, acidic kick. It didn't have much crab, but the flavor of the soup was amazing. The grilled polpo was cooked perfectly with a delicious char, but I do wish the portion was a little bigger. The Margherita pizza had the perfect thin crust with a beautiful wood-fired char on the bottom. The seafood pasta was one of our favorites and easily the best seafood pasta I've had. The creamy lemon sauce was incredible, the shrimp were beautifully grilled with just a little kick of spice, and the portion was huge. We also ordered the Agn Mozzarella, which was rich, flavorful, and another great pasta dish. The only thing we weren't crazy about was the chocolate mousse. It just wasn't sweet enough for our taste. The service was amazing. One of my friends has a shellfish allergy, and they were extremely careful to avoid any cross-contamination. Everyone was so friendly, the food came out quickly, and you could tell they genuinely cared. We went on a weekday without a reservation, and it was still pretty busy, so I'd definitely recommend making one. We'll definitely be back!

This Resteraunt is in a historic building and you can feel the history as you come in. Unfortunately that's where the good points end. Apart from our waitress who was very nice and cordial the rest of the staff had an arrogance about them and the bartender must not receive a lot of tips as she's cold and unresponsive. The food was mediocre at best the fig pizza was good, the baked artichoke smothered in breadcrumbs and over done. The pasta it self was good but the sauce lackluster and tasteless. The chicken melonazze was dry and rubbery. The chairs at the table were a mish mosh of wood and metal and the Caine chairs were ripping guess that's the colonial vibe.
