When I walked out the guy from the side, just kind of stared at me and watched me walked out. I've been coming to Luis Burgers since they took over ownership of the building. The food started off good but I did notice that a little bit overtime they did start to change the recipes of how the burgers were assembled. One thing that stood out was that for a period of time they stopped making their cheeseburgers with pickles. Which I thought that was interesting on a positive note they did switch from the regular white onion that you see at most burger places over to a red onion which was a nice touch and I'm sure more expensive. Unfortunately overtime the prices at Luis burgers have really gotten a bit out of control although the quality of the food is still there these days people are definitely taking an extra look on how they are spending their money. I love that they have a drive-thru and they offer up breakfast as well as burgers! I'm a big fan of their zucchini fries (Surprisingly hard to find in a drive-thru) and their country fried steak breakfast platter is a go-to hangover meal. If I've been drinking wine, Luis' can expect me to dine. They also make phenomenal burgers. So far I've tried a regular cheeseburger and a pastrami burger and both were fantastic! The prices are great too, with a family pack meal for four under $30. Can't beat that! read more

We went yesterday through the drive thru for two burgers and fries combos. First, we ask for ketchup and we get told "there's already some in there." Okay cool! TWO combos right? WE GET ONE PACKET OF KETCHUP?! I'm sorry, do the workers there get charged out of their check for adding ketchup for orders??? Super annoying I'm sorry. The pastrami burger is amazing. Flavorful pastrami, lots of mustard and nice sour pickles, fresh shredded lettuce and tomato. The fries are season salted and crispy. When we first move to Bakersfield 2 years ago this was our favorite spot but it seem like they are dropping in quality of their food. My husband and I always get their club sandwich large combo since it's enough to share. Plus at this moment we are paying 2 rents at 2 different location because of a fire at our apartment on H street. We are both on dialysis on disability with a 16 year old son. We were the first customer today order our usually. It taste really funny where my stomach started to hurt. Then food shopping at Walmart my husband threw up in the store. That was the only thing we ate. So I called n spoke with the manager stating I think your sandwich meat is bad because my husband throw up. He said no its fresh I always put fresh sandwich meat. He didn't say anything else which I wasn't trying to get anything free I just didn't want anyone else to get sick. Well we won't be going there anymore. read more

Food is good. My favorite has to be the onion rings they are huge. Luis burger is the only burger ive tasted and I keep going back to it. Amazing taste. Customer service does need some improvement. From what ive seen looks like they replaced the sesamee seed buns with just plain no seed buns, which sucks. Restrooms have been really clean everytime I have gone.
