The staff here is super professional and Dr. Guerra is world class! You can tell they love what they do. I had an old crown removed and a new one was made to replace the old one. When I first was referred to him, I was under the impression I needed 4 crowns replaced based on what another (less ethical) dentist had told me. My family has known Dr. Guerra for decades. He was my late mother's dentist and worked on her teeth despite her severe dementia. Dr. Guerra was kind, patient, and competent. Dr. Guerra was my son's dentist since he was 3-years old. Initially, to introduce him to the concept of dentistry, Dr. Guerra had him sit in the dental chair, made a balloon out of the latex gloves and helped my son get comfortable with sitting in the exam chair. Finally, Dr. Guerra believed me when I had pain in one of my upper left molars. He referred me to an Endodontist that refused to believe me, but Dr. Guerra referred me to another Endodontist who used ultrasound to detect the damaged root underneath my upper molar crown. this guy is amazing. Dr G and his staff were referred to me after i endured a dentist from hell scenario, and seriously, i was living with dental PTSD. Than I met Dr. G. Dr G, is a thoughtful, gentle and perfectionist dentist. hegave me back the confidence I didn't have in dentists anymore. Now my whole family goes to him. And even though he's not the cheapest, he is for certain, worth every penny. He had to make me a crown in front and the thing looks REAL. His crown guy Hiro, would come in a color match the tooth right in my mouth! They took this tooth seriously. We had appointments until it matched JUST RIGHT. They care and take pride in their work. Dr. G will take the time to make sure its PERFECT. Not just okay. And the result... It shows. My fake tooth looks and feels real. And the best part, i finally have a dentist i trust. Kira does amazing cleanings too. She won't stop until every last bit of grime is gone. Easy parking. Friendly staff. It is a very personable, nice experience. Never have I ever felt comfortable about the dentist, however I can now say that has all changed. My mother has been going to Dr. Guerra for a little over a year now and has said nothing but the most amazingly positive things about Dr. Guerra and his office staff. I'll be honest I was still not so sure, but my recent discovery of a large black dot on my molar gave me no choice but to find out for myself. I can't tell you how unbelievably wonderful Dr. Guerra and his staff are, to say they are amazing would be an understatement. I have been coming here for over a year- and I absolutely think they deserve 5 stars for being a Dentist that I feel will not rip me off and honestly care about my teeth and over all health. All the girls are so sweet - perfect scraping and cleaning and knowledgeable about how to maintain my good teeth..and they talk to me like we are friends which I love. Dr. Guerra also double checks the fantastic cleaning I just had and checks the tongue for potential problems and my throat and cares if I smoke" which I do not" but I do not recall other dentist being so thorough. This man is by far the worst dentist my family and I have ever been to. He has no idea what he is doing. We are shocked that he is still in business, as seven people from our family have left his practice and many other friends, as well. He flounders when he's working. He misdiagnoses and then lies to cover up his lack of knowledge. (are those papers on the wall real??) He referred us to a friend of his for things such as implants, extraction, etc and that man turned out to be just as bad as he was. In fact, that dentist recently had to close down his business! We expect any day to see the shutter go down on this man's office, as well. Given his lack of knowledge, expertise and handling of patients, compounded with his propensity to lie lie lie, people won't go to him and those who started will soon figure it out and run as fast as they can out the exit. Beware!!! Beware!!! Beware!!! Quick update: As time goes on, the words above couldn't be more true and accurate. All of the "work" Guerra did in my mouth over the few years we struggled there has had to be REDONE--at great expense to us, of course. This charlatan denies any responsibility for his shoddy work and my new dentist can't believe how poor the work was and the duration of its life. The things he did should have lasted decades, not months or even a mere year. Don't trust this man. It is, by the way, obvious that he coerced random people to write a number of fake reviews, and not only that several attempted to disparage ME!! One even said I had bashed other businesses and therefore am angry and negative! Well, there you go--this is the only business I have ever done for ANY business-- and yes, we all were angry at the time because he cheated us out of an enormous amount of money. We took him to court and even in that setting where he swore to tell the truth?? He lied! I had a wonderful lifelong dentist before Guerra (I hesitate to call him a doctor), and he passed away. Now, after the abhorrent experience with Guerra, my family, friends and I are extremely happy with a qualified and capable dentist. My wife and I have known Dr. Guerra for over twenty years, and he genuinely cares about his patients. My wife had an accident several years ago, whereby she fell on the sidewalk, and her front teeth were sheared off. It was a very painful experience for my wife; however, Dr. Guerra made sure she was comfortable, and followed-up with her at home, to make sure everything was going well. It took well over a year to restore her teeth, but today she is still doing well. We are both retired now; however, we continue to go see him, even if we have to drive 15 miles. The hygienist, the dental assistant, and the rest of the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, and they care about their patients. He has been by far the best dentist we have ever had. It's like looking for a car mechanic; once you find a good one that you feel comfortable with, you want to do everything possible to maintain a good doctor/patient relationship. He also doesn't try to push unnecessary procedures on you like some dentists. Though I've moved several times through the years, I won't change dentists and drive the extra hour just to see him. I was in for my dental cleaning and check up today. I had a new hygienist, Sophia, and I think she is wonderful. While she was very thorough, she was also very gentle. I have sensitive gums because of years of cancer treatment and sometimes in the past I have had to have my gums numbed so that I could tolerate the cleaning. I didn't need any numbing today so I am very happy about the new hygienist. I also saw Dr. Guerra for a check. I have been going to him for a decade or so and I have always found him to be thorough and very gentle. He's a really sweet guy and has taken good care of my teeth all these years. I've been visiting Dr. Luis Guerra for almost 17 years. His office has helped me with crowns, fillings, and routine cleanings. In addition, I have never been disappointed with his referrals to specialists. I sent my daughter to his office as a preteen and teenager and he was great with her. I had a terrible accident in my 20's...my jaw wired shut and subsequently tmj plus years of tortuous cosmetic dentistry to get me to where I am today. I worked with Dr Guerra for nearly 10 years as his hygienist before moving to Colorado. You should know that I always had great respect for his work but after moving to Colorado that respect has grown 10 fold! I actually fly back to California for him to do any and all work that I need! The doctors in Colorado seem to take no pride in their work and many are turning their offices over to corporations (IMO showing a complete lack of concern for patients and only caring about the bottom line). Dr Guerra not only takes pride in his work but also takes his time to make his work as close to perfection as he can. He stands behind the work he does and wants to make sure you are happy! His work ethic is beyond measure! I still miss working with him after being gone 2 1/2 years! We had a fantastic working relationship and I recommended everyone I knew to go to him and still do! I miss seeing my old patients and hope that one day I will be working side by side with him again until we both retire. You absolutely can not go wrong with this dentist! O.K. I just left my favorite Dentist and went for coffee with a friend and just for kicks I looked up him on Yelp I was not shocked by all the five stars but thought the crazy review by one person and that persons daughter totally nuts!! This review is totally real and I would imagine someone like Dr. Guerre if indeed he reads it would turn red because he is simply the best and most humble human being I know. As a dentist he's incredible and has helped me beyond imagination, he is the very best dentist I have ever had the pleasure of knowing (here come's the part to embarrass him). I coach basketball in South Central for five years (actually used to, had some physical stuff and no longer do it.). Our mission was to get these kids college scholarships for young men who are gifted athletes. I had a few kids who couldn't afford a dentist, when I told Dr. G about this HE TREATED THEM FOR FREE!!! After having read so many ghastly dentist stories, I would like to recommend Dr. Guerra. He is one of a kind. He truly cares about his patients. I've spoken to a few in the reception area and they feel just as I do. He is also extremely gentle, something that is very hard to find. He also doesn't try to "sell me" just simply gives me options.
