I was a faithful patient but when I switched jobs about a year ago my new insurance initially provided to me was not accepted by Hall of Fame. I went on with my life with my new dentist, unsatisfied and unhappy. I knew that once I was able to switch my insurance back I was going back to Dr. Hall. The tail end of 2018 was the worst dental year for me because I had a nagging toothache that would not resolve despite two visits to my new-ish dentist. At the beginning of this year I went straight to Dr. Hall and they gave me the answers I needed. I'm very happy with the care I've received thus far (I didn't expect anything less). I'll be back in a few weeks for some follow-ups which I'm actually excited about. Hall of Fame has grown quite a bit over the last few years. It was half the size it is now when I first started going and I'm very impressed by how everything looks. All the rooms are clean, all the equipment is organized and new. The waiting area is comfy but very rarely will you sit for too long because they know how to schedule appointments appropriately. It seems Dr. Hall is always up to date with the new dental technology which is great for patients. The staff is still as wonderful as they were when I first started going here. I'm terrified of dentists but they really helped to calm me before a major procedure, and the tooth was reconstructed perfectly! Both Dr Phillips and Dr Jue were great dentists, who I frequently recommended to friends and family. When they sold their practice a couple of years ago to a corporation, everything changed. Both Dr Phillips and Dr. Jue retired. I stuck it out for these past couple of years because I didn't know of a dentist office I wanted to switch to, and because I wanted to see if the new dentists would be a good fit for me. It turns out that I am not at all comfortable with the new dentists. I also am not okay with the corporation still calling the practice Phillips and Jue, even though they are retired. I am concerned that they are using the name due to the reputation of the retired dentists.

But Dr. Sidhu and her wonderful staff have made the transition so easy. My husband is extremely dentist-shy. We are talking "needs hand-holding, possible Valium, and would prefer to be unconscious for a cleaning" levels of dentist anxiety. So the fact that he gives Dr. Sidhu and the hygienists almost five stars says everything. The only reason it is not a full five from him is because, in his words, no dentist gets five stars unless they knock him out for the cleaning. For context, when we lived in Florida, we literally drove across the state for him to see a dentist he trusted. He says Dr. Sidhu feels like someone he would do that for again, which is basically his version of a standing ovation. We have both had deep cleanings here, and the experience has been gentle, kind, and surprisingly easy. While he may require emotional support and possibly a small dental-themed security blanket, I am perfectly happy to sit for 60 minutes, listen to an audiobook, and let the team do their thing. Dr. Sidhu and her staff are professional, warm, patient, and truly make you feel cared for. We are so grateful to have found them in Bakersfield. I called 2 days before my scheduled post op to come in bc stitches were loose. The entire office was unavailable due to updating servers. Couldn't contact anybody until finally an office assistant called me back and told me to go to another dentist. Keep in mind I already paid for the post op appointment. I called the other dentist I was referred to, and they were also out of office until the following week. Then had to spend $283 at another dentist to have stitches removed. No reimbursement, no apologies, nothing. Terrible experience.

My wife happened to find this dentist that had awesome reviews, so I decided to try. The Doctor was very friendly and professional. He got me in ASAP. In the process of looking at my gum he noticed a severe tarter build up on my front lower back of teeth. That was my main issue. During the numbing process to the deep cleaning process They were very gentle, courteous, and made sure I was comfortable in all aspects of my dental work. Dr. Herrera is very patient and knowledgeable about his craft. He sees dentistry as much more than a job. It truly is an art that can be mastered, and he has done just that. He is an artist in every sense of the word. He stays up to date on all the latest developments and makes sure to have top of the line equipment to make your visit as comfortable and as easy as it could. His techniques for numbing and drilling are painless. I have extreme anxiety and therefore high sensitivity when I am being worked on, and I do not feel a thing. It is also just as important to have a great supporting staff. The receptionists are wonderful and so kind. They have to put up with a lot when dealing with me.
