I was charged for services after my insurance had already paid. And reimbursement was near impossible. First I was told the person who writes those checks was on vacation for a week. When I came back a week later the person was on lunch. When I came back after what would have been an extended lunch the person was in a meeting now. I said I would wait and suddenly they were extremely mad at me. When I went back to the desk to pick up the check I was told that if I took the check I wouldn't be getting my last cavity filled. I said I was fine with that. Something definitely not right is going on there. It all began when I was told I had 6 cavities (prior to the date I had only 1 cavity ever) and 1 required a root canal. Each visit i asked for the x-rays either by disc or flash they said they would email and confirmed my email each time, but would not send it at that moment so I could confirm on my cell. In the end they never complied with getting me the x-rays. And after the 6th cavity they asked about scheduling for one more cavity. I said we did all 6 already and now somehow there was 7th? When I spoke to my insurance they asked me why did they perform the root canal? That wasn't protocol according to my insurance. And the tapped nerve during the root canal with a snickered "that almost never happens" definitely made me uneasy. Anyway I didn't have the "7 cavity" done and went elsewhere to get a second opinion just to find out there was no 7th cavity. Having me left with the nightmares that I may not have had any in the first place.

Their most qualified and efficient hygienists have retired or moved on. The kiosk check-in system is also faulty and does not always go through to the front desk, so they think you're late or a no-show unless you speak to the receptionist. There is also now a host standing by the kiosks... why? I am disappointed because I pay for PPO just to continue going to CD. I vote for them for Bakersfield's Best every year. And I have referred all of my friends and family to them throughout these years. But I won't be doing that anymore. Will report back if things improve.
