Four stars?? My aaaa--, I mean, my eye!! Not sure who they ask to leave positive reviews, I'm sure employees & their families are encouraged to post high-star ratings to help offset the accurate negative reviews. This location is farrrr worse than the Pittsburg location... IN. EVERY. SINGLE. WAY. Service was barely acceptable to begin with, but when problems occurred with my food (because I'm always the lucky recipient of hair & mold & such!), they literally became hostile & tried to insinuate that Iiiii must have been involved! Sorry guys, but I don't have brown, straight hair-- nor does anyone at our table. AND FURTHER, how would this benefit me in any way??? First, I DO NOT allow remakes of my food (for obvious reasons) so "getting something for nothing" is impossible. Second, I didn't get to eat with my group, I left the place still starving, and I had to go elsewhere for a quick bite ALONE since everyone else had eaten. Lose-lose situation for me. This isn't the first review on there being hair in someone's food at this establishment, soooo perhaps it's time to check themselves & their standards. There are easy fixes for this... servers' hair in a pony tail, braid, or bun (basically any style besides down, loose, & flopping around) as well as kitchen staff wearing hair nets or hats. Oh also, perhaps train your servers to understand how petting/scratching a customer's pet & then serving food WITHOUT washing hands can transmit allll kinds of dander, bacteria, yuck (including HAIR) not to mention the violations of safety requirements. Not a good look all around-- low quality standards & horrendous customer service. **** EDIT **** to clarify for the Mgr/Owner Gena N.'s reply: I did not visit this establishment today/ this morning as Gena assumed; I just so happened to post my review a few minutes ago. Girl Time at Lumpys is always nice. Breakfast then a movie. This place is very busy. The host and wait staff are very nice and attentive. I normal get a Belgium waffle but this time the waffles was 4 minis. They were super cute but not crunchy on the outside and tender in the inside like the menu says. It was rather thick and soft. I only ate two. Kind if disappointed because it didn't kill my waffle fix. Love the fact that they have turkey and chicken sausage. Yasss! The mimosas are the real deal. I think we all left tipsy on a small glass that we tried to drown with OJ. Atmosphere was nice, place always packed. Next time I will make sure to order Belgium waffle if they still serve them. I went to lunch after church with my sister. We had breakfast. It was very crowded. It is a small place. The servers were so sweet. Did I mention this place fills up quick. It is so worth it. I had the best pancake I've had in a really long time very fluffy and plenty of butter and syrup. If you don't want to talk to the person sitting across from you, you can read all of the fun stuff hanging on the walls. Grubhub will deliver it you can't make it. Bring your family and enjoy. Well very disappointed. My order was cold and the bread was at least 3 days out in the air old and hard. However, I paid my full price and left never to return. PS those baked beans were not baked beans, I know microwaved food when I see it. The bowl was so hot I couldn't even touch it, yep that was a microwave. This place is nothing special. There are much better options in the area. My wife and I went there for breakfast today and it was packed. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated and the waitress took our orders. I ordered the eggs, toast, hashbrowns, and bacon plate and my wife had the smaller version of it. I asked if I could substitute pancakes for the toast and I was told that they don't do substitutions, and they also stop serving pancakes at noon. Oh well. The food arrived promptly, but the bacon was lukewarm, greasy, and salty. The eggs tasted like they were out of a carton, and the hashbrowns were flavorless. At least the sourdough toast was good. I was too hungry to care. I ate everything, so it couldn't have been that bad, but it was not that great either. The service was good. Everyone we encountered was welcoming and friendly. I also like how much light this place gets and their dedication to Lumpy, the founder of the restaurant. Unfortunately, due to the mediocre food quality, I doubt we will return. Digger's diner in Brentwood is way better, and also reasonably priced. Hell, even Denny's in Antioch is better. read more

I ordered a breakfast burrito with bacon for myself and my husband. My goodness the burrito was humongous and so good. I loved it and will be going for a sit down breakfast one of this days. We're new to the area and didn't know Lumpy's,. We actually drove by and saw the sign by accident, I thought any Diner named Lumpy's had to be good so we tried it. When we opened the door (at 11:00 am on a Wednesday) and saw it was full, we knew we made a good decision. We were immediately greeted by our server who had a big smile on her face, seated us in one of the few available booths and got coffee and a menu for us. Within a few minutes she took our order and before we knew it she returned with our order, hot and ready to eat. We are now big fans and will return with family and friends when they visit. So glad we found Lumpy's, it's not often you find a Diner with old school service, generous portions of good food at fair prices....hat's off to the owner and staff at Lumpy's. read more

The food is always good, the packaging is always great. However if you order sauces and they're not included this is a huge let down. Being someone who loves ranch and loves sauce, not getting delivered anything ruins the entire meal. I even paid additional for the sauces that weren't delivered. Everything but the sauces ordered on the receipt were included. Without those the meal is just ok - go to McDonald's and order something that'll be fresh and you get your dips. Father's Day we ordered takeout as my hubby really wanted to try this diner for a while. We all sat down to eat, and when my husband dug into his omelet a long white/blonde hair was pulled out. Totally ruined his appetite and he wouldn't eat the rest of the food. I had a few bites of mine and the kids had some. It had little flavor and wasn't that good anyway. Not sure if I've reviewed LUMPY's. However, all must know I love their breakfast options. My all time favorite is the Kitchen Sink Benedict. But no matter what you select, I know LUMPY's will not disappoint. The portions are hefty and filling. The best part though, are the wonderful servers. They always have a smile and it gives you the vibe of a small town where as if they always see you come in even though they don't. These servers make the diner experience 10/10!!! They deserve a raise, and they deserve no less than 20% tip. I love visiting and wish I was able to visit more often. Cheers to all who work there. read more

More like 3.5 stars! Food was pretty good, menu had a lot of variety. But it's pretty much like any other breakfast place in the area. Inside isn't really that "small" but they have a lot of tables back-to-back so it feels cramped. Service was okay - we had a large party (about 11 adults, 4 kids). We had to wait for tables to be available and our ENTIRE party needed to be there before they would seat us. The waitress forgot to take one of the adults orders and our food was not all ready at the same time.... so some of us were almost done with our meal while others were just getting theirs.
