Ordered my breakfast via Caviar (owned by Doordash) today. Placed for pick up at 9:30 but received a text message at 8:40 saying my food was ready for pick up. Well it would be better if they got the items ready at the time I selected on caviar website but no big deal. I ordered a kitchen sink omelette and a fried chicken steak. The gravy and the hollandaise sauces were too salty for my liking. I prefer MJ's Cafe in downtown Brentwood which has bigger portion size and tastes like home food. What made me disappointed with my order was I found TWO hairs in my Benedict. I was not too upset when I saw the first hair before I started eating the Benedict. I just picked up the hair and threw it away. Then after I shared my food with my husband, I saw another hair in the Benedict. I looked at the Yelp reviews and noticed other reviewers had seen the same thing in their food. I contacted Caviar right away, and they quickly resolved the issue with me. I came by at the recommendation of another server at a different Breakfast Place. It was very busy inside for being 9:45 on a weekday. I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted and given my water. They have all the usual breakfast items but specialize in all different types of Eggs Benedict. My favorite breakfast is biscuits and gravy with eggs and sausage, so I ordered the small. It came with one biscuit, tons of Gravy, 2 eggs Over Easy and two sausage links. Everything was great, but the biscuit was on the hard side. Tasty though! I will go back-the gravy was hot and tasty and the service was excellent! Also-I had a feeling that a lot of the peeps in there were regulars and felt like "home". After being totally disappointed by Lumpys neighbor in the same plaza, I went to have breakfast . What a breath of fresh air. Great egg white omelette. Quick service. The waitress is delightful and is attractive. Had a Pleasant time there. Unfortunately I had to go back to Lumpy's neighbor ( CPR PHONE REPAIR) and pay $353.00 for a phone that only had a cracked glass. It never worked again properly. It was a great way to have breakfast after going so long without a good sit down meal. Food - I ordered a Full Breakfast with Linguica, Sunny Side Eggs, Sourdough and a side of sliced tomato with Coffee. Sunny side eggs - whites were incredibly runny - needed a minute in the salamander or the oven. Linguica good. Hashbrowns - cold and crunchy (not in a good way) Typically, that's where this ends. Service - Incredible! From the receipt, If I remember correctly, her name was Hailey? She was incredibly attentive - asked how everything was. Had I not been in a hotel for the past 30 days eating from a microwave - I would have sent back breakfast. Her service delivery made me pay double. Someone please commend her for taking the time to listen and provide exactly what I wanted - ALOT of coffee! Breakfast can be hard, I'll give them a chance to recover again. Went here one night with my family for dinner and was very impressed! Our waitress (wish I remembered her name) was so sweet. Very friendly and efficient. Food was wonderful! I had the Philly Cheese sandwich and split mt Garlic Ball Park fries with my husband. They were so good. my family was also very happy with their food too. Not one complaint. Lumpy's has lots of choices, something for almost everyone. It is a casual attmosphere and very comfortable too. I love breakfast foods and can eat them any time of the day! Lumpy's Diner serves breakfast all day. I have only gone a couple of times, but the times I have gone I was treated well and the food was good. My food did take a minute to arrive, but when it did, it was fresh. I'd recommend it if you have time to spare and would not recommend it if you are in a hurry to get somewhere. From reading other reviews, it can be a hit or miss when it comes to the service. read more
