They have a good deal for kids Monday- Thursday with their fan club. They only allow one sauce per meal. Parking is in a shared plaza. The meats have many burnt parts. The inside was spacious and had many seats available. The tables can be cleaned out more frequently. The chicken bowl was very filling and they allowed me to swap out rice with kale. This may not be a 5 STAR, white linen restaurant but for an 'order at the counter' place it's perfect. I got the Greek Salad with no special instructions. It was fresh, the bread was sooo soft and it was so filling I had to take half home. I love the couscous in it as well. It was perfect for a warm day. My mom and I sat outside, it was so nice. An employee I'd never seen before greeted us and helped us at the counter. His name was Jordan. He was the most accommodating, friendly and conscientious employee I've ever encountered at this location. He's a keeper. He not only took our order, but brought our food out and would ask if we needed anything during our lunch. It's hard to find truly friendly people these days. This place goes to 11!!! I was introduced to this place by my friends/clients Tom and Kari DeLonge about 15yrs ago and have eaten here HUNDREDS of times since. I felt compelled to leave a review after seeing a couple bad ones for one of my favorite restaurants. Luna has the most reliably delicious food. It's been our now-9yo kids favorite restaurant since he was two. The food and service are great EVERY SINGLE TIME, it really makes you wonder about the people who leave one-star reviews, but I guess we're just in the society of people who do that kind of thing. The only downfall I can think of would be them having amazing food next to a huge business park can lead to the wait can be longer than you'd at lunchtime... but the amazing staff will give you a heads up if that's the case before you order. Food is great but service is slow. They consistently have 2 male managers hovering around the front counter chatting up whichever girl is working the register that day. Last time I went in, one of the managers didn't leave a foot of space between him and the young girl who was plating food from the kitchen into bags - guy was breathing down her neck. The girl was the only one who was actually working in the front, when she had room to work that is. They had 1 guy in the kitchen by himself making all the food while both managers were up front the entire time. He deserves a raise, he was hustling back and forth the whole time while these two "managers" were chatting up what I hope was one of their daughters. If not, makes the way they hovered and chatted with her weirder. After about 35 mins I went up to the counter where the 2 managers were both huddled around this young girl and asked for an update on my food - took another 15 to come out. Again, the food was excellent it just takes a while to come out when there's only one cook working and the cashier has two middle aged men hovering her like mosquitos. Whoever owns this location needs to check their security cameras to see how these guys spend their time at work - made me really uncomfortable for that girl last time I went in. read more

It's been replaced with a cheaper cut (sirloin) that lacks the authentic seasonings that kept me coming back and paying over $20 a plate. Honestly Sizzler makes a better sirloin than this new item. I also hear that my other favorite flatcut chicken may be removed as well. Both items were extremely flavorful and tender compared to the other steak and chicken options. Bad move in my opinion. Luna Grill has stepped it up! Whenever I ordered fries from Luna grill they would be soggy or inedible, but the fries were crispy and perfect today. I LOVE French fries and it can sometime make or break a meal for me. Thomas Jefferson introduced French fries to America and glad that the 3rd President of the US did! I added a little salt to these fries, but would have been fine without. I also purchased the Gyros pita wrap which is reliably delicious while filling. Greek immigrants introduced Greek food to the US and glad that they did! The packaging for the food was great too. Perfect blends of chicken, hummus, couscous, kale, pickled onions, olives, basmati rice and the chimichurri sauce was excellent addition. Luna Grill has always been a bit pricey for counter-service food, but I used to treat myself to it every now and then because the gyro meat was tender and the portions were generous. However, after a recent visit to the Bressi Ranch location in Carlsbad, I won't be returning. First of all, they've cleverly hidden their increased prices, which resulted in paying almost 30% more. I've always order the same thing: the Gyro plate, which includes a bed of rice and 2 sides. However, when I went there the other day, my meal did have any rice on the plate. I told the manager they forgot the rice and he said it doesn't come with rice, and it was a separate item. I told him I've been a loyal customer for years, and know what is part of the meal. He stuttered a few times, then told me that their menu has recently changed. So I spent an extra $3.50 for a small portion of rice. The garbanzo bean side salad was dry, crunchy and terrible, and the gyro meat was overcooked and was a smaller portion than before. They used to offer one of their side salad's without a markup charge. But now, both the Greek and Mediterranean salad with cost you an $1.25. Depending on which location you go to in Carlsbad, you'll be paying a few bucks more for the identical meal. I spent almost $25 on a lunch that used to cost me about $17, and because of their desire to inconspicuously rip-off customers, next time I will go next door to Sprouts and get a "$10 meal deal", which is an entree and a side. I recommend others do the same. read more
