This place was good. Tried their chicken & Beef Kabob plate with double salad, everything was good. Chicken was tender and the ground beef was delicious. The salad was fresh and tasty. Their hummus was good as well. Tried a piece of baklava and it was sweet. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Check them out if you get a chance to. The family meal was a good selection but I would recommend it for two adults and two little children who don't eat to much food. If your vegetarian or gluten free they have a variety of options for you. Overall I would say it was pretty good. read more

I moved from north California to OC about a week ago. I came to spectrum and I wanted to try something new.on Yelp I found Luna, and the Mediterranean food was the food I wanted. I came there with 2 members of my family. It was our first time and there were many choices of food. The cashier, Ghazal heard im talking Farsi to my family members and trying to Explain what to get. She kindly said hi in farsi and helped us out. My dad trusted her and he got Mediterranean salad with flat cut chicken and he loved it. I tried it as well, it was good! I happened to be in Irvine for a trip and was at Irvine Spectrum for some last minute shopping and decided to try this SoCal restaurant. It's a self service restaurant- you order first and pay at a counter and they deliver food to your table. We tried the lentil soup (pretty watery), comes with 2 slices of small pita bread, Greek salad (ok taste wise- pretty pricey for the ingredients they put in the salad- mostly leaves), falafel wrap (comes with a side of either salad, rice or fries). The wrap was decent. The food is fresh though not that tasty. They take time to deliver food - so it can be a wait even on a weekday. They have a covered patio and it's a pet friendly patio (allow dogs). Restrooms are spacious and clean. For those who are in mood to have some Mediterranean food (while shopping) besides the typical burgers, pizza or Mexican food- it's worth a try. Probably their non-veg is better than vegetarian. My husband and I tried this place fir the first time tonight. We ordered a Greek Chicken Wrap, a Gyro, & a sprite. The food was really good! The service was great also. Thankfully the rush of people came after us... the only part I didn't like was when people were moving the signs on the tables they weren't supposed to be using ( this table closed) and sitting down anyways. I cannot say enough great things about this location. My coworker and I are obsessed, to the point that a worker actually said, "Welcome Back Ladies" ... yes we're here every other day. The lunch rush is In-ten-se! So come early or later like after 1PM! Anyways, there is ONE particular worker I want to give a shout-out to because he is legit super friendly, happy to be at work and always wants to make sure everything is tasty. He's constantly checking-in to see if things are "tasty" .. I will ask his name next time. But you can't miss him! As for the food, the chicken kabob plate, the gyro wrap and lentil soup are some of my faves! Yesterday, I tried the spicy feta cheese with pita... I almost wish I hadn't! Decent place if you're looking for a quick and healthy lunch. I'm lucky it's right across the street from my work building so I can walk over. My go to is the gyro plate w/ basmati rice but the flat chicken is pretty good too. It's very crowded during weekday lunch hours so try to order ahead or go during non rush hours. They have a few beers on tap if you're lucky enough to be able to imbibe during lunch! read more

Experienced the worst customer service after my girlfriend got food poisoning from this restaurant. I called and spoke with the manager and she began to say that it takes 24-48 hours for food poisoning to take effect. In addition she said she's never encountered this situation which made me wonder why she was the manager and was not diffusing the situation. I would avoid this restaurant! They believe it's about money or a refund but it's much bigger than that especially if they didn't think highly of the situation because they served under cooked food at a unhealthy temperature. read more

We went on Saturday evening and when I went to order a salad worth gyro I was told that they were not serving any gyro for an hour. I asked if they were all out, they said no, just chose not to serve it for the next hour. Their fountain drinks were out of commission as they had no ice and was told the fountain sodas were flat. Their barcode scanner wasn't working and it took a long time to receive our food, even though there was no one ahead of us. Perhaps they were short on cooks. We understand that in this day in age, so can see past that. We've been to this location many times before, but this visit was not a good one. read more

I thought Javier's in Spectrum Center would perennially take top honors for effectively combining pretty good food with absolutely wretched management and service. However, I humbly acknowledge my error. Luna Grille is now the Spectrum Center's KING of good food - terrible management and service. Today, was the straw that broke the camel's back and convinced me that I can no longer overlook these major issues. 25+ minutes to get my food, on a not particularly busy day. One register open - with a remarkably unfriendly and slow cashier (a cashier, by the by, that was more concerned with his share of the tip jar, than actually doing his job). About that tip jar, as the single cashier line began to lengthen, the manager took the time to (in plain view of all patrons) empty the 2 tip jars and REPEATEDLY count the money. Let this sink in for a bit. Then, without washing his hands, this same manager began to bus tables, and handle new / fresh food product. Again, without a drop of water or soap in sight. Here's a suggestion to the management and staff of Luna Grille ... pretend to give a damn. Be courteous. Smile. Ask how the meal is, and if the service has been okay. WTH?!? And, to the district manager responsible for this location ... Really?!? read more

I really like the place and the food is excellent. Getting it in a reasonable amount of time is really hit or miss though. Some days? You're barely to your seat and they're delivering the order. Other days? 30m have gone but and nothing and if you dare go ask what's up in a polite hey we are still waiting you get stared at dumbfoundedly. Because of this even though it's super close to my office less and less of the lunch gang is willing to go. Waiting 25-30m for lunch isn't always an option. Unfortunately I am now updating this review to two stars because of the cleanliness of the restaurant and restrooms. When I came in today there was rice on the floor, tables and chairs all over the place, trash on the counters by the drink station, etc. I was going to chalk up the dirtiness with the hopes that they just had a lot of customers come in and they would soon attend to the dining area. However, after sitting and eating my meal with my family, I noticed the employees did not care to clean the dining area because they were not busy at all and still would not leave the back to tidy up. To make matters worse, prior to leaving I went to use the restroom and it was absolutely disgusting! Something needs to change. This restaurant is not abiding by health code standards. read more

Updated review - after leaving my one star review, I was quickly contacted by Luna grills social media director. I received a pretty standard and canned response but she did mention that a district manager would reach out to me as long as I provided phone number or email, I opted for the email route. I was offered two $11 cards that could be used at any Luna Grill location. I was also told by the manager in what appeared to be a formatted, canned response email that the location's manager and staff at this location was being retrained and that my (and other customer's) concerns were being addressed. My mistake was coming back to the same location. Same manager and staff, same mediocre service. No smiles, tables were left dirty and not wiped down, etc. The only thing that remains consistent is that Luna Grill has good food. While I appreciate that they made the attempt to have me come back and make the experience right - I think that will only change with time and personnel changes. As stated in my previous review, I have worked in restaurants and in the food service industry and I understand firsthand how sometimes customer service can play a bigger part than just the food in keeping customers returning. read more
