Our food was so yummy! First time trying Luna and really loved it! The only reason for giving 4 stars and not 5 is because the food was warm (not hot) guess when you order takeout or delivery that's going to be a possibility. (We ordered thru Ubereats) I think lining the containers with foil and folding the food in it, would solve that problem. I ordered the flat cut chicken kabob plate and omg the chicken is amazing! Perfectly grilled and tender! Their rice is also amazing!! Light, fluffy... Love the tziki sauce! Not enough though... 1.5 oz. For the amount of food you get, the sauce containers could stand to be larger. I think providing a 3oz sauce of choice to come with each plate is fair? This is a $17.00 plate of food, don't think I should have to pay almost a dollar for another 1.5oz? My husband liked his gyro meat plate but he loved my chicken way more! With that said, definitely get the chicken and pay a little more for the flat cut!! Everything is wonderfully seasoned! Great flavors! I love Luna Grill. Lauri is always so welcoming and always makes sure the customer is satisfied. Outside seating and large dining room never too busy to take care of the customers. Now, the food. I came to visit this Luna Grill and upon my arrival, I could tell this place would be good! The restaurant smelled delicious, the floors were clean, and the presentation and atmosphere were overall positive! The counter was clear and the menu options are easy to read. All the options from the falafels to the signature kabob plates looked very appetizing to me. It is/was a lot to offer, especially for a first time, but luckily the staff present were super friendly and eager to help. Speaking of help, Stephanie was there to greet me with such a delightful and pleasant demeanor, she was so kind to take my order and recommended the Loaded Fries with the Gyro meat, which actually came out to be MUCH better than expected! As soon as she rang me up, it was 5 star service non-stop! Every five to ten minutes she came up to check on how I was doing and every time made me feel acknowledged. The fact that she kept a smile during the busy time showed her confidence and determination to do a great job and I want to make sure she knows it! I am not joking when I say I am at Luna Grill 2-3x a week. The food is impeccable, you do not feel gross and bloated afterwards. 2.35 Stars - Disappointing to say the least. Cleanliness 4 - Place was clean, there weren't any tables left unbussed or not wiped down. Place looks brand new. Bathrooms clean, drink stations were clean! Kitchen looked clean through the order window. Ambiance 4 - bright, high ceilings, open space, airy with outdoor patio. Decor was certainly California. They are going for the good food fresh food fast casual feel, I suppose. Service 3 - Got my order wrong (and several others in the restaurant that day apparently from what I overheard), but they did all of us right by fixing the orders once we told them about it and not asking for the wrong thing they gave us back. Good customer service. Food / quality / flavor 0.25 - This place is going for a fresh(er) version of Daphnes, which in my opinion, is a decent watered-down Greek food for the American palette. Unfortunately, while the look and feel is up to par with their competitor, their food isn't. For one, nothing was properly seasoned! I ordered their pita combo - specifically the Falafel pita and a side of fries. They got the fries wrong on the first attempt and gave me rice, but returned with fries later in the meal (mildly inconvenienced). Pita was nice. The rice was bland. Was there any salt in it? It tasted like it had come out of a rice cooker without any seasoning. Falafels were fried and crispy, yet too were flavorless chewy pucks of garbanzo--i didn't taste a hint of garlic or cumin...it was super bland and dry. I went back and asked for Tzatziki sauce because I had asked for it upon ordering and they informed me it was in the pita (coulda fooled me) - he gave me a couple additional tubs for free - and I doused my sad looking pita. Didn't help. The Tzatziki sauce was also bland. Tasted like no effort was used to zest up plain yogurt to make it taste like something that would jazz up a falafel pita. I looked around for a salt shaker...I never do that at restaurants because I know how heavily they salt their foods...but this time I needed it! The fries came out and were hot crispy...and salted properly! The one thing not Greek was the one thing seasoned lol. Value 0.5 - a little over $12 for my order of Pita, side of fries, and a water cup. Pretty steep for the quality and quantity of food received. Where's the nearest Daphne's? read more
