Let me start off by saying I've never been disappointed with the food. It's fresh & delicious, my issue is with the website system that places the pick up time, that needs to be adjusted immediately. I placed my order online and the pick up time was 12:50pm. I arrived a couple minutes early in the chance that the order may be ready, no luck, that's okay, no problem so far. The staff said it would be 6 minutes for my bowl to be ready. I sat to wait and watched countless orders by Uber Eats/Postmates/etc. be completed and picked up. I hadn't heard my name called but I got up anyway to make sure they knew I was still waiting. They said my order was second in the queue, at least four more orders went out until my order was ready. The promised time was 12:50pm I didn't receive my order until 1:10pm. That's 20 minutes late, that's not acceptable. I completely understand you can't rush and grill chicken faster but if my promised time was more accurate I would have arrived later and wouldn't have had to wait so long. Please make some adjustments so this doesn't happen to anyone else, some people only have 30 minutes for lunch. Oh, and check with the cook if you want to give an accurate wait time don't just say 6 minutes when it's clearly more than that. ****I updated the review to 4 stars as I received a phone call from the business apologizing for the wait time and issuing a refund. The service was friendly and attentive. Paulina showed interest in our experience. This is not our first visit to this location and each time we are treated well. The food was generous and delicious. We had a Medí Macro bowl with grilled chicken, a Santorini bowl with grill chicken, a simple plate with a skewer, rice and pita, and a salad bowl. There were no complaints from my fellow diners. Ambiance? Music playing wasn't too loud, honestly don't remember. Bathroom was clean, smelled nice. Drink fountain was clean, entire restaurant was well tended. Every bite was awash with flavor, making me look forward to the next. Super happy with my Santorini bowl that contained fresh ingredients and with perfectly cooked chicken. Even though i left feeling full, I felt energized from this protein packed meal. Its always a good sign when you're warmly greeted upon entering and given menus to review, much better than having to crane your neck to read the large one posted overhead. But great to have both options. My partner enjoyed his gyros which he said reminded him of a spot in LA (papa cristos) that had unfortunately closed last year. This place also offers catering and their to-go orders were nonstop while we ate in. Definitely would recommend anyone looking for a healthy option to go to this spot. Update regarding gluten-free options: I honestly wouldn't be lowering my rating if Luna Grill corporate and the restaurants had really thought through this situation better. I've always loved Luna Grill, and that's what makes this so frustrating. They recently started using pita chips in the fryer, which means several items that were previously considered gluten free can no longer safely be flagged as gluten free because of cross-contact. For people with gluten allergies, sensitivities, or celiac disease, that's not a small change. It removes a lot of safe options from the menu. The sad part is that this feels completely avoidable. Pita chips could be purchased separately, fried somewhere else, bagged, or handled in a way that doesn't contaminate the fryer for gluten-free diners. Losing access to items like fries, falafel, and other fryer items over pita chips is extremely disappointing. I still love Luna Grill and want to support them, but this change makes it much harder for gluten-free customers to eat there safely. I really hope corporate reconsiders this decision or creates a dedicated fryer solution so people with gluten allergens are not pushed out of options. read more

The staff was very warm and welcoming and made sure to attend to any questions we had. The menu has all the Mediterranean classics and I ended up getting the Cali Pita with Gyro meat. Luna Grill has some really fresh and amazing food overall. The loaded fries, bowls, and plates are all delicious, and you can tell the cooks put real effort into what they make. Big shoutout to the kitchen staff they don't always get the credit they deserve, but they're a big reason the food keeps me coming back. One thing I definitely recommend is the flat chicken. In my opinion, it's much better than the regular chicken, which I sometimes find a little tasteless and tough. That being said, my experience at the Palm Desert location has been a bit frustrating when it comes to the front register. The service there has not been consistent, and the policies around swapping or paying extra for different proteins in the bowls can be disappointing. I think the store could really benefit from reevaluating some of the male staff working the registers and focusing more on customer service. Besides that, the food itself is awesome. Luna Grill has a lot of great options, and when the service matches the quality of the food, it's a great experience. read more

I was super excited to try this place. My coworkers always talk about how good it is. My coworker today told me there was a 2 Santorini bowl special for $25. I have a hefty commute home so I jumped on Door Dash (which I always use...) and placed my order not realizing the special didn't kick in. I called to ask if I could cancel and reorder and the girl working just said "No. It's a third party. We can't do anything about that." Okay, understandable.. but I wasn't being rude, and I felt like she was being very short and rude. When I came in to pick up my food, she asked for my name and I answered, she said "here." And dropped my bag in front of me and turned away and went back to whatever she was doing. Still excited to try this food, but damn! For fast food in the desert, the portions are large and The quality is good. The taste is fine. It's not to die for, but it's good. The falafel balls were a little bit overcooked as well as the beef kabobs I took home to my husband and didn't get a picture. The beef was tasteless and not seasoned very well. The hummus was okay not the best not worst that I have had. The very best thing was gyro meat with was a combo of lamb and beef. I would skip the beef kabobs meal which was around $19 and get the gyro meal instead. They make everything fresh so it does take at least 15 minutes to make but at least you know it's made fresh.
