I had the sirloin kabob aka koobideh. The flavor was right, and overall not bad, but was charred badly. Wife had fillet aka barg kabob...also overly charred. The fillet was tough and dry. She didn't finish. The lamb kabob charred...you see the theme The rice was good and prepared well. Would have liked sumac seasoning. Very impressed with their signature plates! I typically order the gyro, and I just love how much generous they are with their portions. Protein, veggies, carbs -- High quality food and filling. They're very thorough by including the calorie count for every. single. item. (Sometimes ignorance is bliss, but sometimes it helps to keep me limit myself.. so I can appreciate it.) This is maybe my 10th time at the Richardson Luna Grill location. I have to say that apart from the delicious food I have never had a single problem with the food, cleanliness of service at this location. Food is always served hot and fresh. Always cooked properly, never overlooked. Restaurant is always clean and staff are quick to clean up after departing guests. Staff is super friendly. They always make good suggestions in dishes to try. I haven't been disappointed yet. Rewards program is easy to sign up for and I am constantly redeeming $5 certificates. Food was fine but service terrible, cleanliness terrible. A friend, my age which we aren't spring chickens anymore, practically did the splits then fell and hit her knee very hard on the floor from some type of slippery oil or something. Someone put a sign out but didn't clean up the mess and nobody checked on her after she finally got over the embarrassment and sat down. She is bruised and sore still. This is a casual dining restaurant where you order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. I ordered the chicken kabob plate with carrots and hummus as the free appetizer for checking in on yelp. My colleague had the same. The hummus was a great flavor and texture. It was a generous portion. My favorite part was the pita bread which was served warm! The plate includes chicken, rice, salad, carrots and pita bread. The salad and pita bread were my favorite parts of the meal. The chicken had a char grilled flavor which I didn't care for but I know it is popular. The chicken was cooked well and not dry. They stopped selling the Greek dressing in a bottle and downsized the dressing cups to barely anything. So when you order a salad, you get a tiny pill container size of dressing and have to order at least 10 of them to even toss the salad with dressing. What a way to pinch pennies. I'm going for five stars on this on the first visit. The only thing that wasn't great was the presentation of the menu. Lots of information made more complicated by calorie counts. I had previewed the selections and knew what I wanted. The food was really pretty and well presented. I saw several other dishes being served and they all looked great. My chicken kabob plate was excellent. Yummy light salad, grilled tomato, fresh pita, lots of rice and delicious, perfectly cooked chicken. When I looked at the website, I thought this meal would be much more expensive than it was. It was about $13 with a drink for the most expensive thing there. A great bargain! We had the need kabob entree plate and upgraded to Greek salad, with 1 having grilled tomatoes and the other carrots. Great flavor, rice delicious, and salad hit the spot. Nice decor with cool shades having utinsels hanging from bottom of the shades. High-top's, and booths as seating options.
