I loved everything we ordered. It all tasted like it was made from high-quality ingredients without cutting corners. There were some questions in our group as to whether the cağ kebap was made authentically, being thicker cut than traditional cağ and chewier and not as seasoned, it was still delicious. We loved the cağ kebap wrap more than the platter. Service was excellent - not overbearing and not missing anything. The Turkish tea post-meal was included with the meal (as it should be for a traditional Turkish meal). 10 AM We came specifically for the cağ kebap on Sunday morning since they open earlier (10 AM), but that is only for the brunch buffet. You have to come back after 12 PM for regular service. I love how the menu online presents high-resolution images of dishes, and everything looks mouth-wateringly delicious. Tried Prime Doner and it did not disappoint. We started with the creamy hummus; smooth, rich, and well-balanced. The Iskender kebab was the standout: incredibly buttery, tender, and full of flavor with that classic sauce soaking into the bread. Stopped by Prime Doner after reading amazing things about the cag kebab on D Magazine! My husband and I love lamb so we came for dinner a few Fridays ago with some friends and split a bunch of dishes family style. First off, service was super attentive the whole night, even when the restaurant started getting pretty busy during the dinner rush. We were served complementary salad, dip, and bread and our water cups never ran dry! The bread was also super fresh and warm and fluffy, which paired perfectly with the hummus and other dishes we ordered. My favorite savory bite of the night was definitely the cag kebab. The lamb was so tender and not gamey at all, and the meat was also grilled to order! It ended up more medium than the medium rare we asked for but still super delicious. I enjoyed eating it as a wrap with the flatbread, and the accompanying onions and tomatoes were super refreshing. The chicken kabob was dry for our tastes and the fries weren't super crispy, but we really loved the savory rice on the side. And the big surprise of the night was how much we all enjoyed the beef iskender! It came in this great tomato sauce that paired well with the cup of yogurt that came on the side. We finished with a couple of desserts that were both delicious and not too sweet. Complementary black tea came out first with sugar cubes for sweetening, and then we got the rice pudding and the Turkish custard. The rice pudding was creamy but not too heavy, and the Turkish custard was super thick and really delicious. I'd never had this dish before but we all agreed we would definitely order it again. Really excellent meal here and I think we were one of only two tables that weren't of Persian descent in the restaurant, which speaks for the satisfying nature of the food. Joseph was the server that took care of our group. One of my friends is a Turkish guy who really wanted to try this place out. He was so happy to find a slice of home in this city. We got the lahmacun, and the family platter for the whole table. Worth every penny. Our server made sure we were well taken care of if we needed more drinks or more of the complimentary pide. The desserts are amazing as well. I would highly recommend the rice pudding. For a party of 6 people plus a baby, the service was excellent. This place has been on my list for awhile now. Finally talked my husband into making a trip out to Plano to try it. We made reservations via Open Table because I was unsure how busy they would be on a Saturday lunch. We definitely could've gotten a table without a reservation. The hostess was very friendly, our waitress, unfortunately was neither friendly or unfriendly. She was just there; no personality. I feel the dining experience overall would've been spectacular if we would've had another server. The other ones were very personable and kind. We told her it was our first time there and she really didn't try to give recommendations or seem excited to be there. We ordered a few things just to try; we definitely had leftovers. We ordered the Turkish tea, which I love! We tried the feta rolls, hummus, and kibbeh. All were really delicious. The hummus was flavorful with a great consistency. The feta rolls were a fan favorite with our kids. Super soft and delicious. The kibbeh was really rich and flavorful. I loved it. For our meals we got a kids beef doner for them to split. A chicken shish kebab plate and a single CAG kebab. Everything came out rather quickly and portions were great. The only complaint I had was on the French fries for the kids meal, they were not salted and they were soft not crunchy. The beef however was perfect. The kebabs were cooked perfectly. We also ordered the beef Doner beyti. It was really delicious; definitely tastes better than it looks. The rice was so tasty. We also ordered all four desserts to try. All of them 10/10. AMAZING FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE!! Thank you to Berat for taking care of us and giving such a wonderful service for our first time here! He gave us awesome recommendations, and everything tasted great. We came Sunday night, and the place was busy! Even though the place was filled, we got our food quickly. For appetizers, we got grape leaves and lentil soup. They also give free bread, Bostani salad, and veggie salad. The lentil soup was so hearty and a great start to our meal! For entree, we got 1.5 portion of Beef Iskender. This was the 1st time we tried this, and we were BLOWN AWAY!! Wow, it was a delightful experience of flavors and textures. Lastly, we got their baklava for dessert. We were given as much Turkish tea as we needed as well. Their baklava has been the best I've had so far all over DFW! All throughout our meal, Berat and the owner kept checking up on us! Came here last night, for a Valentines dinner date, glad a made reservations in advanced because it was a packed house, we got there a bit early, and they still managed to accommodate, as we were lead to our table, the waiter also gave my wife a beautiful long stemmed rose, this was our first time at this place, and I had very high expectations because most of the reviews were really good, let me through the chase and I will explain, it is very good hence the 5 stars. To start out with I let the wife order to my fear because she tends to order unusual stuff, but we began with the Atom, a thick yogurt dish with a chili pepper oil, the cool part is they also bring you some of their delicious fresh baked bread, a cabbage salad/Slaw with a sweet sauce very good, they also brought us a side dish of some tomato spread, also went well with the rest of the appetizers, they were all amazing. Then we had our main dishes, the wife had a dish with shredded beef in a tomato based sauce with lots of yogurt, it was good she said, but the star if the night was my Kag kebap made with lamb meat, I was very weary of eating lamb, had a bad experience at another place, but let me tell you the lamb here is Super delicious and to be honest I stopped the waiter to ask him what meat it was he said it was in fact Lamb, he explained the lamb goes through a seasoning and marinating process that takes days to perfect, it was really that delicious and good, next time I come in I will just order the lamb skewers with bread and the hot yogurt sauce yum. And to close out the night the wife had the Turkish tea, and I had the Turkish coffee with a piece of Baklava, which was very tasty and not overly sweet, it was a perfect night at a great place. So if you do end up visiting Prime Doner, during a special holiday or event make a reservation because the lines get big. What a wonderful find. read more

So glad to see a Turkish restaurant with high quality opened in Plano! We went here for lunch, first were served with complimentary salad a delicious dip with homemade fluffy bread! We ordered cag kabob and we were asked how we like it and it was made to perfection! (We asked for medium) They have the best stuffed grape leaves I had in Dallas area. The kibe was made to order fresh. And finally nice cup of Turkish coffee with a custard pastry was a Devine ending to our lunch! What a great hospitality! Amazing experience! I had the opportunity to try Prime Doner in Plano for brunch this weekend. Service was great. On the weekends they give you the option of the breakfast buffet or ordering off the menu. The buffet looked a little underwhelming so we opted for the menu instead. We ordered the following items: menemen with beef sujok, lahmacun, iskender kabob, chicken shish kabob, and cag kabob. Food overall was solid. Lahmacun had some nice flavor. Iskender was decent. Menemen and chicken shish were good but the star of the show was the cag kabab. It had a nice smokey flavor and came right off the skewer. Solid addition to the DFW halal turkish scene. Would definitely come back for the cag kabob but will also try other items as well. read more

Very disappointed. The last time we came here, the service was excellent, but this visit was the complete opposite. The employees seemed immature and unmotivated. We waited over 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, and when we finally asked for service, we were ignored. The lack of professionalism and respect from the staff was shocking. Good food alone isn't enough when the service is this careless. I walked out with my wife and two kids completely frustrated, without even eating. I tried to have dinner at Prime Donor restaurant last night. My friend and I arrived at 6:45 and the restaurant was quite empty. We asked to be seated and was told by the gentleman in charge that they didn't have any available seats as they were expecting a rush of guests at 7:45 after sunset/Ramadan. We decided to leave. As we were in the parking lot, the gentleman in charge came after us and said he could seat us in the patio. It was 85 degrees outside. We politely declined and said we would go elsewhere for dinner. We absolutely loved our first visit to Prime!! This area absolutely needed a Turkish spot and the food and service and vibe here was top notch. We started with their delicious falafel and hummus alongside a really refreshing complementary salad and warm fluffy pita! I ordered the chicken kebab which was so amazingly flavorful and tender and my husband got the beef doner Beyti which was also so delicious! I tried the iskander kebab and döner on my first visit. The çağ kebab was not available, so the week after I tried this place again and sure enough I was able to order çağ kebab (in addition to my favorite iskander). First, the food. The food is tasty, portions are generous, and the quality is absolutely authentic and resembling of what you would get in Istanbul. Çağ kebab is made of lamb, and has absolutely no smell or gamy taste! Next is the service: Service is excellent with everyone checking on you regularly to ensure that you are enjoying your meal. Finally, the ambience! This place is a piece of Türkiye but in Plano: chairs, utensils, refreshing wipes, the table... Once done with your meal, the complimentary tea and the cologne that the servers will give for you to rub your hands with makes the experience quite a memorable one. WOW WOW WOW! We stumbled across this hidden gem on accident. Having been to Istanbul, I am always disappointed here in Dallas. I have been to most places but this restaurant was INCREDIBLE. Their iskender was hands down amazing, all the dips, hummus and their fresh bakes bread was YUM. We loved the atmosphere, so cute!! And the service and people there were beyond kind and patient.
