It was my first time here and I did take out (I didn't feel like eating alone in the restaurant). I ordered the gnocchi pollo arrabiata and the tiramisu, the order came with bread and butter as well. I absolutely loved the gnocchi! It had a bigger kick than I expected but very good. Lots of flavor and the sauce was great for dipping bread in. The tiramisu was pretty good. Went for our anniversary. Very happy with our experience. Split basil and tomato bruschetta and the Fungi bruschetta. Both were very flavorful. All our food was very good. Nice warm, comfortable atmosphere. Service was very friendly & welcoming. Even the coffee was really good. Will definitely be back to try more dishes. So glad we found this place. read more

Hadn't been here in years & glad we rediscovered it. Four of us dined mid week and were able to converse without shouting....a novel idea these days. Loved their version of a caprese salad which came with anchovies. My fish was nicely presented, moist, & tasty. I'd recommend ordering the sauce on the side though. Very much in love with Luna... for dinner. It is a pricier place, but you are in for some delicious treats for your dollar. That kind of expense is not worth it to me, though, for lunch. I've never been disappointed with their specials. Come to think of it, I've never ordered anything off the standard menu. This is my girlfriend and mine's first date spot, so it holds sentimental value. We went here last week for dinner. BF was craving Italian. Easy parking outside the restaurant, free after 6PM. We called before we left and got a 7PM reservation for the same evening. Good thing we did...it was almost full inside the small restaurant. Luna Ristorante has a dimly-lit cozy atmosphere. They can put several tables together for larger groups. Service was efficient and friendly. We were greeted at the door and given warm, fresh bread shortly after being seated. Their menu changes frequently. A lot of stuff on their website wasn't available. We browsed the specials list while noshing on bread. The crusty bread had a nice artisanal quality to it. The shallow plate provided was perfect for mixing the sweet balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I ended up ordering the Penne with broccoli, grilled chicken, caramelized onions, mushrooms in herb infused olive oil. Pasta was overcooked by Italian standards, but still good. It's a little softer than al dente (that's actually how I prefer my pasta when I cook it myself). Looks like regular dried pasta, not freshly made, but still good. Presentation was artsy, but not refined. This is hearty food that sticks to your ribs, not a shi-shi dinner topped with a micro-green sprig. Pasta was in an oversized shallow bowl with balsamic drizzles. They really packed in the flavor with sweet balsamic, minced garlic, sundried tomatoes, caramelized onions, raw baby greens (looks like arugula) on top, and grilled chicken. Meat was flavorful, but a bit dry. My plate was $14.95 and I had a small box of leftovers to go. I was so full that I needed to rub my belly. :) BF got the Mussels and clams with linguini and olive oil/white wine sauce. Seemed a bit greasy, perhaps too much butter? Tasty, though. Good amount of seafood, cooked sufficiently. It was rockin' some Californian influences. Much to his surprise, BF discovered his pasta contained broccoli pieces! Sun dried tomatoes and garlic provided an extra boost to the taste buds. His dish was a relative bargain at $15.95. Super-fancy food, this is not. However, reasonable prices, fresh ingredients, and large serving sizes make this a viable option if you're too lazy to cook at home. We will be back! read more

My friend and I came here for the first time tonight looking for an easy dinner. We were put off a bit by the outside appearance, but felt comfortable the minute we walked inside. They had white tablecloths, nice music, and a great environment overall. The menu had anything you could ask for from an Italian restaurant but wasn't overwhelming. The food was absolutely delicious. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed my dinner this much. And the presentation was incredible. They took the time to plate everything so that it looked like a piece of art. The prices were also great for the service. We got an appetizer, two entrees and a dessert for about $50. I will definitely be coming back. read more

CELIAC WARNING I went here for my birthday last night, and I was very disappointed with my experience. I asked if the Cream of Butternut Squash was gluten free and was told that absolutely no gluten was used in preparation. However, after receiving and eating the first bite, I realized that there were crumbles of crouton and cheese garnished on top. Since the meal, I have had serious swelling and bloody diahrrea and am supposed to leave for a flight tomorrow. The manager apologized profusely and comped our meal, but I was crying and throwing up in the restaurant at my own birthday dinner. This should not be an experience for any food-sensitive customer and I was very upset with the experience. read more

I just dont know why I haven't tried this place years ago?? Have lived here my whole life used work right by here and walk pasted it all the time. I came here for Valentine's day with my husband, the place is very small but quaint. Prices are very reasonable I would say they are almost cheaper then a close by chain restaurant. Anyway i ordered the GAMBERONI ALLA LUNA. Cooked perfectly. And for dessert I ordered the tiramisu also made perfectly. I do not give 5 stars often. When I see a small establishment that has great food and great service with little or no advertising I must respect. read more

I had the penne pasta with pesto and chicken . Only ok , don't order ... way to much olive oil and the chicken was flavorless and a weird cut of meat ... It was chunked . I honestly didn't even eat anything there I had actually just gotten a platter from the mediterranean food place next door with my girlfriend and we sat at the outdoor tables for Luna restaurant to eat and the owner came out and offered us drinks and we politely declined because we weren't eating there. 2 minutes later he comes back out with glasses of water and a candle for me and my girlfriend. That meant so much to me and he definitely earned himself a new set of customers. read more

Came here for a business lunch on a Friday. Easily made reservations the day before for 3 at noon. We arrived a little late, but that wasn't a problem as they had plenty of seating available. The restaurant is a little small, but quaint! We ordered SALMONE BRUCHETTA to start - smoked salmon was tasty and fresh. Their RAVIOLI OF THE DAY was MUSHROOM RAVIOLI with brown butter sauce - sooo delicious. I would definitely come back for this. Portion was good. My colleagues went with CARBONARA and the other is a vegetarian so they specially made an EGGPLANT entree for him. The waitress did mention that it was appetizer size so it was very small, thankfully he also got their soup of the day too. Has Luna changed ownership? Food and service seems to have gone downhill in the past couple months, and Habib isn't there, greeting the customers. I've been a customer for years, and recently noted their service seems less attentive than usual. Recently, a small group of us were treated to a very good appetizer, orders taken, then waited a very long time for our food. The salads were mixed up, as were the entrees, which were delivered a long time after the salads, and my pesto entee was entirely lacking in flavor. Guess I'll have to start patronizing their other place, Fiore, which isn't located as convenient to downtown Concord, but has the "old" ambiance. And Habib. read more

Great find just off the Plaza in Concord. This is the second time we have dined there. The first was at least 2 years ago, and it is nice to see the atmosphere, the quality and the value have not changed. The Service was excellent. The appetizer of bruschetta a perfect balance of cheese and bread with a wonder flavor. The wine list is reasonable. How they can serve a veal dish for under $16.00 is beyond me but it is tasty! This was our 1st time at this little jem. My husband and I came for our anniversary on referral from someone and had the best food!!! Unfortunately dug in too fast to get a pic so you'll have to take my word on presentation! I had veal picatta and substituted veggies for pasta Alfredo and my husband had rib eye (which was a VERY large portion) with grilled veggies, which I tore into and both were excellent! The rib eye was perfectly cooked med rare, juicy and tender with perfect sear. Oh and don't even get me started on their vinegarette dressing on the salad...I am STILL thinking about that sweet and tangy taste of the dressing..was almost tempted to swipe the bottle of vinegar they brought for the bread dipping but I behaved myself! Pretty sure they would have given me some if I asked!!! We ended our perfect meal.. (very little room left) with the chocolate molten cake and that sent us into coma mode!! I asked if they offered pillows after but apparently they don't so maybe 4 stars lol! It had a drizzle of orange and topped with ice cream and nuts and was a perfect share.
