It's a nice cozy place, however when I visited with my girlfriend and mom I had gotten the chalupa as well as my mom. To our surprise it was not what we expected at all. It was covered in grease and oil with a thin pathetic excuse for a tortilla. Chalupas are typically made with a semi toasted thicker shell. This was way too thin and the toppings that it came with did not go well. It was a red salsa with chicken on a tortilla basically. The waitress was nice but did not offer any insight into how it looked or how it would be prepared otherwise I would have never ordered it if I knew that's what it was. My mind was thinking that I was going to get something completely different. My girlfriend's meal was better she got an americano taco with chicken and it was good except she stated that the chicken was indeed dry. Honestly I would have rather had her meal it looked much better than mine. I couldn't even finish mine. I told the waitress I didn't like it and she didn't offer to get me a different dish. Our smoothies were the highlight, we had pina colada smoothies and my girlfriend had strawberry. They were absolutely delicious and came in a cute authentic type glass. The meal for 3 of us came to almost $80 which was way too much for what you get, you don't get a lot of value for your money here. I don't think I will be back. Carson, our server, was amazing and recommended the beef birria tacos, which were honestly the best beef birria tacos I've ever had. We ate outside and it made for such a perfect night. Heard about this place on Kelly Drives. I stopped in on a Sunday. The menu has changed from the photos on Yelp. I ordered Tuna Mango Ceviche to start followed by Cochinita Pibil. I was craving Mexican food one day and decided to give this place a try. I ordered takeout and I was surprised with how fast it was ready. However, they did forget a taco but they handled the mistake beautifully! They realized they made a mistake and added some churros in for free. They have great customer service and good Mexican food. I ordered their chips and guacamole. The chips were fried to a perfect crisp. The guacamole was season perfectly and the avocados were nice and fresh. Next, I had their al pastor street taco and chorizo street taco on corn tortillas. They both tasted delicious and were packed with flavor. They also gave you plenty of meat. This is a family owned restaurant. The food here is pretty good! Authentic Mexican cuisine, for those craving really good food. The vibe is really relaxed and romantic if you are on a date. The staff is friendly, relaxed and helpful. My wife and I stopped in for lunch. I ordered the ground beef burrito with beans and rice, along with the homemade limonada (lemonaide). The burrito was pretty good, seasoned just right, the beans were cooked just right and good flavor also. Cash/Credit and Debit are accepted here. Today on September.6,2024 me, little George & mama Suz decided to try this Mexican joint for the first time. We got tortilla chips and two different types of salsas for dips, the green one is really spicy and the red one isn't that spicy. Well, we tried it and we liked it a lot. The service was excellent but the price we paid for our meal wasn't worth it. I ordered for my brunch was 'Americano' tacos (grilled chicken with lettuce and a sauce with a side of sour cream), the chicken was dry and the tortillas were too soft to eat. I also had a 'strawberry smoothie' from there as well and that was so delicious. I think I liked the tortilla chips and dip and the smoothie the best instead of my meal, sorry to say. Always, my experience wasn't that good but yours probably will be once you give this joint a try. I'm sure if I had something different I would have liked it and ate it too. My girlfriend and I went to Luna Y sol tonight for dinner and the service/food was not worth it! We waited almost 20 minutes before being able to order. We then ordered carnitas tacos and a burrito. The carnitas came with more slimy fat than meat and ended up being removed from our tab. The waiter claimed that's just how carnitas are, but that is not the case. We then got chicken tacos to go since the previous tacos were barely edible, but the chicken was like chewing on a cork.... safe to say there are better options out there if you are looking for traditional Mexican cuisine. read more

Finally found my go-to restaurant for Mexican food. I moved from North Jersey where we had a plethora of options for Mexican food. I was having a hard time finding a good restaurant around the area until I finally tried Luna y Sol. The birria, ribeye steak taco, and Al pastor were all delicious. The guacamole and chips were outstanding. The agua fresca was indeed refreshing and not overly sweet and the churros were spot on, it came with a chocolate sauce and another sauce that when dipped in it felt like you were eating a churros tres leches. Been wanting to try this place for a while. I have had their street tacos before at the food truck festival and they were great. I got Chile relleno, it was awesome. Sauce was so good. Wasn't a huge fan of the rice, but the beans were great and I mixed it together and it was pretty good. Wife had the shrimp tacos, she said they were okay, little under-seasoned, but good nonetheless. The guacamole was excellent! Some of the best I've had in a while. Have ordered delivery from this place a million times I always get the street tacos plate with Al pastor, steak and fried fish but sometimes I switch it up and get all Al pastor because it's phenomenal. And my boy friend always gets the la fajita trio which is always get as well. Today I finally had the chance to go in and I was extremely excited since normally food is decent when delivered since it's not exactly fresh anyway it was quite the opposite I was feeling a little extra hungry so I got the trio along with my boy friend and it was horrible the steak and chicken were over cooked and dry. Super disappointing. I paid $25 for Fajitas trio and it was the smallest portion, plus the meat wasn't cut up . Super confused on why they wouldn't cut up the meat so it can be eaten on the tortillas or with chips. The meat had no flavor and the steak was over cooked. It's really hard to mess up Mexican food, but they did. My friends had tacos, and thought they were decent, but the corn tortilla they use need to be changed. Got takeout from Luna Y Sol yesterday for Cinco De Mayo. We called in our order and it was ready in about 20 minutes. We ordered 2 chicken quesadillas, 2 taco platters, chips and guac. The guac was basically just mashed avocado and lacked flavor. The chicken quesadilla was covered in toppings which I thought would have been on the inside. The quesadillas were soaked due to the tomatoes, lettuce, and cream on top. The quesadillas also were very greasy and upset my stomach. The taco platters were good except one of them had a sauce in the box and it spilled into the other tacos which made them all taste like the same sauce. I came here with my SO on Thursday night. Sat in room with musician (he wasn't loud) which nicely decorated. They brought out the complimentary chips and salsa and I had jarrito mandarina as a drink and it was very good. I had the habanero shrimp to start and she had the butternut squash. The shrimp was mild hot but the rest of the plate was very hot. I love the heat. I then had the Molcajete Trio entree (served in a volcano bowl) which was great and she had the taco platter. We both enjoyed our meals. Someone said not worth it but our meal was very reasonable so not sure why they wrote that. Will definitely return soon. read more

We were r eally craving Mexican food for lunch and this is nearby so we decided to try it out again. I ordered the "Las Enchiladas" dinner platter of three enchiladas, each with a different salsa (roha, verde and mole), accompanied by rice and beans. Strangely they all have to have the same "protein" (filling), in this case I opted for the chicken. Each enchilada was packed with meat, which was fine although the chicken was very, very dry. So I really appreciated the various sauces. My wife ordered the Grilled Salmon, which looked beautiful and she was very impressed with how good it was. For dessert we ordered the Churros, which are really just OK due to them being filled with dulce de leche. The problem is that it slows down the baking and makes them seem uncooked inside; worse still is that it only adds unnecessary sweetness and a fake vanilla flavor that no amount of cinnamon and sugar can cover up. We mentioned it to our server and she admitted she didn't like the filling either. Service was excellent but there was hardly anyone there on an early Saturday afternoon. read more

I'm done with this restaurant. I think 3 out of the last 4 orders have been wrong. I order street tacos and the menu clearly states with onions and cilantro. It comes with without onions or cilantro but crèma. I call back to register my complaint and get excuses. Along with ridiculously slow service and numerous wrong orders, I'm done. I love the vibe in here, we stoped in after everyone got off work too late to cook, they had live music which was super fun! The food however was just okay, the taco salad was super bland, it just tasted like plain rice over powering everything else in it, the corn was also super bland I think in hindsight it was missing the Tajin that was supposed to come on it, but the lime slice helped add to the flavor which was good, my parents liked the fajitas but not the salmon, our server was super friendly and we were in and out within an hour which was nice. Great Mexican food in the heart of downtown Moorestown! My wife and I had the three taco platter that was served with rice and beans with both of us getting a mix of tacos ( chorizo, chicken Tinga, and veggie). I love chorizo and this was really good. The others were flavorful as well. We finished with the sweet plantains with a cheese and cream sauce. Outdoor seating with umbrellas available in good weather. Between the two of us, we got the birria tacos, the fish burrito (side of fries) and a double order of churros. Tacos were a little overpriced for the portion (three pretty dinky ones) and the fish burrito was just okay. The churros were a little tasteless but nice and soft on the inside (ever had a dry Churro? Not here you won't.) Funnily enough, the fries were probably the best part of the meal.
