This restaurant has flavors that will blow your Mind. The service is very attentive, but not smothering once they take your order they pretty much let you be and leave you to relax and unwind. The restaurant is decorated very nicely and it also is very tidy and clean. On this visit, I went to the restroom to wash my hands before eating, and I found the toilet and the sink and everything was cleaned very thoroughly. Our meals were presented very nicely on the plates, and the service is very quick, yet it tastes like their Abuelita or grandma is slow, roasting the food in the back all day long. This visit, we ordered the shredded chicken tacos and the ground beef tacos with the tomato, lettuce and shredded cheese on the flower tortillas which was surprisingly filling each order you get three tacos and my husband got the traditional smothered burrito. It was delicious it had shredded chicken and was perfectly seasoned and was very thick and full of ingredients. The flavor was delicious. He let me try a bite. It was amazing. My family and I ordered takeout from Franco's Mexican Restaurant and were really disappointed this time. The pork flautas barely had any pork--kind of missing the whole point of the dish. I understand costs are rising, but skimping on the main ingredient is frustrating. On the positive side, our order was actually ready on time, which hasn't always been the case. In the past, Franco's has struggled with getting food out efficiently, and there seems to be a disconnect between the kitchen and front-end when it comes to handling orders. Unfortunately, this visit didn't do much to improve our overall impression. It'll be the last time we order from Franco's. Overpriced, food rations, and not the best quality of service. I'll just wait till my wife gets back from vacation. She makes better and authentic Mexican food or go over to Reyes Market across the street and get tacos from them instead. Then we aw an article posted on nj101.5.com of one of their employees raving about this place, so then we said ok, we have to try it! We went on a Sunday at an off hour. We were told to sit wherever. It is decorated with that ornate Mexican restaurant vibe with the high wooden back boot seats. We ordered the mixed fajita taco bowl. It was decent. It didn't have a lot of meat and the shrimp was cut up. It had a lot of filler of lettuce and rice. I would have even taken more beans. We got delivery. I wrote a review about Franco's a while ago, and I was very impressed. I was not impressed at all this time. The tamale was super dry. My taco salad had no seasoning. The carne asada tacos had no flavor and were chewy. Also, it went from a 45 minute wait to almost and hour and a half with no explanation. Everything was cold and old looking. We won't be back. Started out loving this place but it's very inconsistent. Last night I got what I always get, the bistec salmon. We asked for sweet plantains instead of tostones because the tostones are NOT good they are dry, tuff, oily and flavorless. Got home and they gave us the tostones anyway. As for the salmon it had a weird nasty after taste like it was freezer burnt. The black beans were flavorless as was the rice. It seems like they don't have a consistent cook. Either way not sure if we'll be back. When it's good it's good, when it's not it's almost $60 wasted plus gas because it's not a short drive. Not worth the gamble. read more

Tried this today for lunch. I had the small pork chimichanga with rice and black beans ($11.99). I added a "cup" of corn and the Tres Leches cake. While the chimichanga didn't taste like it was fried, it was delicious!! The pork was tender and well-seasoned. Rice was just ok, a tad dry but adding the beans made it tasty. The reviews I had seen mentioned how the place was always packed and I figured I'd beat that by ordering takeout. Ha! Joke was on me. We had to wait and hour to go pick up the food... and guess what... we waited lol. I had the tostada and the carne asada fries. Both were delicious! Opening the takeout carton was so pleasing because I definitely ate that food with my eyes first. It looked so pretty and tasted even better. I ordered the fries (via takeout) 2 more times during my lunch break since I work from home (relatively close). If you're in the mood for Mexican definitely give it try, but I do remember calling that evening and not being about to get through for about 5/10 minutes so just keep trying. This little hidden away jewel of a Mexican Cuisine is amazing. The food was fresh, full of flavor and a food presentation is another amazing touch by the Chef. I ended up ordering two meals just for myself, because I devoured my first meal before my wife even made a dent in hers. She ordered three tacos, I ordered a rice combo meal and then proceeded with chicken burrito wrap. The food was amazing. The service was fast, thoughtful and on point. Our experience was truly horrible. First we tried to call in an order and no one answered the phone. Previously we had a good experience with the quality of the food. So we went in to place our order for takeout. When we got there the gentleman at the counter told us he doesn't answer the phone anymore because of door dash. So they don't take orders over the phone. We then ordered our food and we were quoted 40 minutes, which was fine because we thoroughly enjoyed the food previously. After an hour we asked about our order only to be told that they just started working on it because they were taking care of the door dash orders first. We spent an hour and forty minutes waiting on our food only to receive most of it cold and missing items. On top of that we asked for a dry chimichanga and as you can see from the picture not so dry. We were completely disappointed with the service and their decision to make door dash their priority instead of the customer in their restaurant. I come with my service dog that's in training and his trainer. So far we've been greeted in a timely manner after entering. We did have one swamped day where we just seated ourselves. But we were quickly apologized too and greeted warmly. The food ordering is wear it gets tricky. Takes awhile to get drinks. Our last trip took probably 15-20 minutes. Although, we usually get the menu before the drinks come. Once you order be prepared for a good wait. It's 30-46 minutes for the food. Good food does take awhile to cook, yes. But there is a lot of chaos going that's slowing things down. Tables that came in after other tables will get prioritized. Online orders get prioritized. Then they'll completely forget about an order. It's usually been sitting back there getting cold. This tends to lead to a lot of apologies. I think with a little organization and structure things could be greatly improved. I'll definitely be back , as I enjoyed my food. I need to branch out and try more on the menu. read more

Chimichanga was presented excellent, showing what looks like the Mexican flag with salsa verde, sour cream, and salsa roja. Fajitas had well-seasoned chicken and decent serving size. Empanadas were just okay. The real standout was the black beans - they had so much flavor and were well seasoned. They must have changed ownership in the past 6 months because their menu is totally different and the food is disgusting now. 95% of their staff caters to Grubhub- type orders. If you come into the restaurant, expect to wait 45 minutes for an order, because dining-in orders are placed in the same que as all of the deliveries. If 25 delivery orders are ahead of you, you will be served after all of them. Other restaurants will put dine-ins ahead of the que. They won't tell you this when you order your food. Always think I can stop there to eat, but realize every time, that it is just not feasible to wait 45-60 minutes for a taco platter. If they weren't advertising as a dine in restaurant, I'd have a higher rating. Food is good, but better Mexican food found in Willingboro. read more

I'd say authentic food. but everything is pricey these days. So I'm not sure it's good enough for the price per taco.
