    108. Eight Steamed Dumplings

One of the best Chinese restaurants. They've been around for years. Price of menu is cheap compared to others. They have fast service my food was done before I got there. Little small restaurant. Definitely a place I would always pick to go. They even have a lunch buffet deal during week day.

Very good lunch buffet, service was prompt and attentive too. Not too loud or crowded and seemed pretty clean as well. Recommended!

Wow I've heard great things about the Lucky Dragon and I can see why. It's doesn't look appealing on the outside and the parking is a little wonky but it's definitely taste amazing. Enter in and wait to be seated. The older gentlemen who sat me was also checking customers out. But he led me to a table quickly. The space is definitely small so it does feel like everyone is invading your personal space. There are three buffet stations and they have pretty decent assortment of food to choose from. Eating here felt like the quintessential Chinese buffet I went to as a kid. Everything was well seasoned and fresh. Nothing looked like it was dry and sitting for too long. I also heard the waitress mention to another customer that if the food is cold inform them and they will switch it out. Will be back.

Very welcoming and responsive as soon as one enters the door. Has a very simple uncomplicated menu that makes ordering quick and easy. All the food is prepared on order but the wait is short compared to others with similar service. The food was on point and the service was attentive and prompt and definitely affordable! Ambiance is pleasant and the seating is comfortable.

Cashew chicken lunch special and one of the six delicious rangoons that came in a side order!

Y'all, the portions are insane!!! I ordered to-go food at 2pm on a Monday. I got the Cashew Chicken lunch special. It came with an egg roll and a soup. I also ordered 6 crab rangoons. They were THE best and THE fullest I've ever had!

I tried this place on the day the electricity went out, so you know I looked at them as a lifesaver! This restaurant is hands down, so far, my favorite Chinese restaurant I have tried. The portions were large, and the price was reasonable; for all of this, it was $20. I didn't get the opportunity to go during the hours of their buffet, but I will definitely be back! I can't speak too much about the service due to me only walking in to pick up my order but they were still pleasant for a 2 minute interaction lol.

LET HIM COOK!! my friends and I were looking for a Chinese restaurant that was open past 9:30 pm. We searched Chinese near me and Lucky Dragon showed up! We called placed and order and went to pick up! The man on the phone was very charming and kind. Very helpful with ordering and paying online!! even thought we were concerned with an empty restaurant late at night we went in and all workers were friendly and amazing!! I def recommend!! ok actually on a real note. I think the ghost of lucky dragon followed us home and us haunting the house. But still a great place. Xoxo LET LUCKY DRAGON COOK'n

I wish I could give this place like 10 stars because it's our new favorite quality Chinese restaurant. Just moved to KC and am so glad I stumbled onto this gem! Egg drop soup is delicious and even comes with won tons to crumble on top. The crab Rangoons were so full and the egg rolls were fabulous. PLUS if you spend $30 they give you FREE chicken satay AND doughnuts (seriously check out the photo of them)!! The service was so fast, the guy who took our order was so nice, and the servings are ENORMOUS.

I mentioned the sort of oysters just as a reference (and yes I was asked this) We each had one of the following: Aphrodite, Birthday Girl, Blackstone. Delicious. Like a mouthful of the sea in one bite. We also had the Molten Scallop and Shrimp Dip. Warm. Deep flavor. A stick of butter? Maybe. Who cares? Yum. Butter soaked crostini. Oh yeah, cocktails. That came first. I had a Saffron Honey Manhattan. Super balanced. She had a Rose Spritzer. gin, lemon, St. Germain, and... stuff. She had the Norwegian Ocean Trout. Expertly prepared. Perfect skin. Perfectly medium and soft. So good. More nuanced than salmon? I had the Chicken Fried Halibut Clavicle. I would normally order lighter and more toward raw or lightly cooked dishes. Having someone prepare an underused part of a fish... in the Midwest? I had to do it. Photos won't do that plate justice (because it was deep fried), but let me put it this way: if you're a "white meat" chicken person, you're probably happy with a halibut filet. But if you're a chicken thigh person... this is your order. Clavicle bones are angular and sorta fluted so a lot of the meat is contacting bone. Insanely moist and flavorful, but just as snow-white. Atop a bed of country mashed potatoes and sage gravy, and collard greens. Loved it. More food than the photo shows. Wow. I didn't expect that. Must have been a large fish to begin with. The counter downstairs looks cool, but the view from above provides a grounded sense of space for downtown. This place looks good on Parkville... but Parkville looks good on this place. We have lived here 13 years and have longed for a proper place to occupy the best physical space in the street. Nailed it. A great date night made better by our experience here.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing on their webpage, so I phoned the restaurant directly - once in town. The woman on the phone was extremely pleasant, yet informed me the hours posted were in fact correct, and that they were a small family owned place with limited help, so they'll seat their last customer at 1:15pm. I explained we'd just driven into town from Blue Springs specifically to eat there, thanked her for the clarification, then told her we'd return to dine there sometime soon. She was still kind enough to direct us to a couple other establishments in town that would promise a good experience; and she wasn't wrong. We'd decided we'd stop at Boudreaux's... They're a Louisiana style seafood & steak place. Known by the locals to be frequented by quite a few of the Kansas City Chiefs players from time to time. Ironically, we were within 400 feet of it when I looked it up. It was literally on the corner of the street we were on. So, we parked and went in. The interior was a little dark and kind of dated looking. It had a mezzanine that overlooked the lower dining area, and the black metal rails were decorated with the traditional fleur-de-lis symbols within it's panels, and they were scattered about the inside and outside of the building. It definitely reminded you of a little place you'd encounter on a visit to Mardi gras. Actually, come to think about it, it was exactly what you'd imagine a little place like this would look like inside if you were on Bourbon Street in Louisiana. We ordered a cup of Crab Bisque soup, which was divine! It arrived with a scoop of white rice and sour dough bread rounds. We'd also ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken balls; which were made with Cajun mashed potatoes & chicken, formed into golf ball sized balls and fried to perfection, then served with a special Cajun style creamed gravy sauce. That was also very tasty! Next, our entrees... We'd ordered the Seafood Jambalaya with a side of garden vegetables. This dish was slightly seafood forward, containing a trio of catfish, shrimp, and crawfish; it was layered amongst the usual Jambalaya suspects - of delicately steamed rice, seasoned tomato sauce and finished with traditional Cajun seasonings... add in the tri colored sweet pepper strips (cooked perfectly) and you have a very memorable lunch experience. I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken smothered in their own version of "creamed gravy" but it was more like a complex Cajun cream sauce, served with Dirty Rice on the side. Again, undeniably delicious. It was perfectly breaded and expertly fried. We ordered quite a few items so we'd have the opportunity to experience some while there, and still have plenty to take home. We will definitely recommend this place to anyone wishing to have an authentic Cajun/Creole style meal.

"Premier" isn't marketing flair - it's accurate. This is, hands down, the best raw bar in Kansas City. We arrived for our 5:15 p.m. reservation in the main dining room and were warmly greeted by Allison, our server. She struck the perfect balance - friendly, engaging, and attentive throughout the meal. A great start to the evening. For two diners, we wanted to explore as much of the menu as possible. Before ordering food, we were told the signature Frozen Gin & Tonic was a must. It lived up to the reputation - bright, refreshing, and expertly balanced. The only thing that would have made it better was a slightly warmer dining room. We're big mussel fans, so we opened with the Bangs Island Mussels - and they set the bar high. A generous portion of plump mussels bathed in a white wine and roasted tomato broth that was deeply flavorful without being heavy. The toasted bread was perfect for soaking up every last bite. Simply outstanding. Next came the NOLA-Style Shrimp Gumbo. Served in a small bowl, but packed with richness and depth. Adding a touch of hot sauce brought just the right amount of heat and complexity. A standout dish. My wife - having happily overindulged in mussels and bread - opted for a lighter course: a single Maryland Crab Cake, available fried or broiled. It was almost all crab, clean and flavorful, with a satisfying crust. She couldn't finish it...so I did. When you go to a raw bar, oysters are non-negotiable. I ordered a half dozen featuring both East and West Coast varieties. Each one was pristine, briny, and fresh, and the horseradish had just the right bite. For my entrée, I chose the Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp - four large prawns, each wrapped in crisp, smoky bacon. Simple, well-executed, and a strong finish to the savory courses. Dessert did not disappoint. My wife loved the Lemon Pistachio Chess Torte, while I devoured the Bourbon Apple Tart. She noted that the toasted meringue reminded her of marshmallows - a detail that made us smile. The dining room is intimate and can get noisy as it fills up. Next time, we'll likely try the patio for a different vibe. Pacing throughout the meal was spot-on, dishes came out promptly from the kitchen, and Allison's service tied everything together into a truly memorable evening. We'll definitely be back - and soon.
