The cherry almond pancake was perfect! The cherries were slightly tart which was a nice balance with the sweetness of the pancake and warm maple syrup. I am not usually a big fan of tart foods so don't let that description turn you off if you're like me. The cherries were nicely dispersed throughout the plate-sized pancake. There was just enough almond flavoring in the batter to notice it and enjoy it without being overpowering. I had bacon and coffee to go with this perfect pancake. My husband had the French toast, bacon, and sausage and he said everything was great. read more

Ate at this small diner Sunday morning. Only Sunday buffet was available. Not much atmosphere and food is marginal. Only one unisex bathroom and you have to walk through the kitchen to get to it. read more

We all had a delicious meal. Omelette was the best I'd ever had. Pancakes were perfection. Grilled cheeses were yummy especially dipped in honey mustard. Would definitely come back and recommend. In fact, I think we might go back for breakfast tomorrow. read more

The Lunch Box (love the name!) is a nice clean space offering simple food done well and at a reasonable price. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. Small thing in that you have to walk through the kitchen and an area where all the servers are milling about to get to the restrooms which was kind of awkward. Breakfast all day gets a thumbs up from me though! Definitely give this place a try if you're in the cute town of Bellaire. read more

I don't know what restaurant the guy from Allegan visited, but it certainly could NOT be the Lunch Box in Bellaire, MI! Dave and Julie always go out of their way to be friendly and attentive to your every need! The food is delicious and can't be beat anywhere, especially in northern Michigan. I think maybe the guy had a fight with his wife that a.m. or had something else tick him off, and to quote one of our daughters, I would ask him "Who peed on his Cheerios!" read more

Arrived while place was busy but seating still available. Order taken promptly, but breakfast took exactly 30 ! minutes to arrive. The skillet breakfast (here called a Hoople Poople) was OK but not as good as expected - lacked flavor and eggs therein were hard to find or taste. Waitress attentive and prompt about requests. Right in downtown Bellaire. We easily could get seating in or out. We sat outside on a beatiful summer morning. We ordered two omelets. Both were very good however, I did request my bacon as crisp but that didn't happen. The staff were quick and friendly. read more

A cozy place run by a couple of locals. Only about 25 seats, seven or eight at the counter. Great atmosphere, even better cooking. Muffin and pancakes to die for, and real corned beef hash. After ordering the cb hash, you know a Reuben here would be a great lunch pick. Reasonably priced. read more

Holy smokes! We've been going to the same places for years and never ventured in here until this winter. The food is unreal! Went back the next day and got the same thing, it was so good. Poached eggs were great. Gotta go with the muffin muffin! Will be back next time we're in town! read more

Very quaint and cute. The food was wonderful and at a great price. The Turkey sandwich was awesome. We went back a second time. My boyfriend and I stopped in here this morning. It was EXTREMELY tiny. Literally maybe 8 tables. We were one of two tables inside. The lady who took care of us, the owner, was very nice. The coffee was some of the best I've had at a diner. We both got egg breakfasts with hash browns, meat, and toast. The eggs were good. The hash browns will a bit on the mushy side. They were sort of like crunchy top with mashed potatoes inside. Aside from the mushiness they had a good flavor. My boyfriend got the polish keilbasa as a meat and it was delicious. My bacon was pathetic. It was definitely pre-cooked and thrown in the microwave when I ordered it. It was also so thin it was practically see through. They need to do something about that. The thick sliced toast, however, was some of the best toast I've ever had. The inside is decorated with hockey and motorcycle stuff, I liked the feeling of the place. I did not like that it was a bit on the expensive side; our breakfasts were 7 dollars each and the coffees must have been pricey because our bill was 19 something at the end... thats pretty insanely expensive for a breakfast and coffee, especially considering the hash browns and bacon were less-than adequate. By the time we left the place was 3-quarters filled. Anyways, I liked the place and might recommend it, but will be trying a different breakfast place next time! read more
