I love this place! It's always good food & service. Slightest downside is they don't take reservations for small parties, so expect a wait on busy nights, BUT they have an exceptional waiting area compared to mostly any other busy spot in Richmond. They make it easy to grab a drink at the bar, and go still find a spot to sit and not have to awkwardly stand in a tight space while you wait for your dinner table, and I love that. It helps the time fly by! My go to is their Pimento & Fried Green Tomato BLT, except, since I don't eat meat, they are always happy to remove the bacon for me, and add a veggie, I ask for jalapeños! Drinks are always unique, and they'll do themes for them, currently it's Mean Girls--so fetch! I was also very thrilled recently learning that they took the already added bacon out of the Mac & Cheese side. Used to I couldn't get it, now I can, and it's absolutely amazing! I only gave it a three out of 10 because they change their shrimp and grits today. It was a tomato sauce with green pepper, onion, and shrimp. If you're looking for a BBQ based meal full of flavor, this is the place to go in Scott's Addition! They have endless options that will have you leaving stuffed and fully satisfied! They have a variety of options on their menu from breakfast meals served all day to sandwiches and plated meats and such, including a wide variety of vegetarian/vegan options. We started out with the hot crab & artichoke dip, which was absolutely delicious, and was served with warm pita bread. Our main dishes were even better! The loaded chicken entree and double barrel bowl will not disappoint! Don't be surprised if there is a wait as this is a smaller restaurant, especially when it comes to inside seating. They do have a decent sized covered patio that has plenty of fans to keep a nice breeze going. And the patio is dog-friendly so you can bring your pups along with you if you're out and about in the neighborhood! Our waitress was very kind and attentive, and made sure we had plenty to drink and that we were well taken care of during our experience, which was a definite plus! Order the Lyons den with a side of mac and cheese. Smoke roast beef, horseradish aioli, provolone, and caramelized onions on a baguette. Came with a side of oju, but really was not required because the sandwich was incredibly flavorful. However, the mac and cheese was absolutely the best I've ever had in my entire life. The waitress said that they use a three cheese blend, but every bite felt like my mouth was being glued shut by a cheesy explosion. I'm an old man and to make this claim I should be obeyed. My partner and I went for dinner on a Sunday evening, and we were seated right away even though the restaurant was nearly full. Service was quick and friendly. The food is what I would consider middle of the road because it is good and what you would expect for a place that is this busy. My omelette was on the drier side and tasted like an average omelette. Tonight I was out with my wife bother and his wife for dinner. Upon walking in my bother was licked by someone dog that was sitting at the table. We get seated and waiting for our food only to see the dog eating from a folk and off the dinner plate. That is a big health issue and nasty. I know you animal people will have something to say but let me shut you up now. Your dog has no place in a restaurant and wasn't allowed at all years ago. A dog has no place in a restaurant their fur flys and you don't know who could be allergic to their fur. So please leave your dogs at home where they belong!!! read more

Came here for a late lunch with some friends :) We had to wait 40 mind for a table since they were short staff which was fine. We sat down and ordered our food. my friends got a variety of sandwiches and they said it was some of the best sandwiches they every had :) They had a smoker out back so you know the meat will be super good. I wasn't too hungry but wanted alittle something so I got the short ribs + bacon Mac and cheese appetizer. So good! How have I not reviewed them sooner?! Every meal I have had at Lunch and Supper is a home run. In the past three months we have taken two sets of visitors and it is nothing but delicious food. I have had River City Smokehouse Sandwich and the Freedom Fighter. I licked my plate both times! Recommend getting there early, there will most likely be a wait, but it is WORTH it! Been here before but wanted to try this restaurant again as a little brunch date with my partner. Very popular place as we got there around 11am on a Sunday and waited about 20 minutes for a table. It started to get very busy around 1! So make sure you get there early as you can if you don't want to wait a long time. I would like to say that the best part of the whole meal was The Farm Table Sampler. It comes out like a charcuterie board but it's filled with different types of meat (ham, pulled pork, etc). It was between the nachos (which I would like to try) and this and I'm glad I picked this. It was very filling and I felt like I could not eat my main entree - this was only an APPETIZER. I loved the mixture of the pickles and pickled onions with the mustard. It was very delicious. Which brings to the disappointing chicken and waffles. The chicken and waffles was very underwhelming. Too much breading on a small slab of chicken breast it seems like and the breading was very salty. Barely tasted any meat. The waffle was dry and the syrup helped a little. The shrimp grits were the best thing on that plate unfortunately. The Farm Table Sampler really helped it with the 4 star rating but I will be glad to try the other dishes on the menu. This was my first time checking them out for brunch on Sunday. I wish I would have known about this gem sooner! Definitely can't wait to go back and try more on their menu. This was my first time trying Shrimp & Grits and I was not disappointed. The grits were cooked to perfection. The roasted tomatoes and fennel sausage bits were the perfect addition to this savory, well-seasoned meal. My friend enjoyed how large and fluffy her Belgian waffle was and how large her chicken tenders were. We also tried a side of their deviled eggs as an appetizer, which we also enjoyed. Not pictured is our biscuits which literally was the size of my head lol. The portions are generous and you definitely won't leave here wanting more food. Our server was very friendly and helpful when we asked for suggestions. The ambiance was Farmhouse chic, with a modern, hip twist. It was Sunday brunch so there was a bit of wait but we didn't mind. They have an outdoor bar and patio area with couches, heat warmers, games, and plenty of seating. We didn't mind waiting as it went by pretty fast.
