This place is amazing! We're here to celebrate our nieces' graduation from VCU, and we had a reservation. The lighting, the different dining areas, the herb garden, the great layout, huge BBQ pit, and the amazing food menu--wow, there's so much to say, but for now, come on over! I wish we had a spot like this in VB. What a vibe!!

I came here on a Saturday around noon with a friend. We had to wait about 15 minutes. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait. We sat at a high top table in the back, which was nice because it was away from all the noise. There's a lot of large groups and families so it's very loud inside. The outdoor space might have been a bit less loud. I got the spicy bloody Mary, which was made mildly spicy per my request, it was super delicious. I ordered the biscuits with gravy, sausage, eggs & cheese and as you can see the portion was ginormous. I finished most of it, but was not hungry the rest of the day. I wish I came with a bigger group so we could've ordered appetizers. The pimento cheese sounded delicious.

This place was very inviting and they validate parking in a busy part of Richmond. My son and I were driving to Fredricksburg for his soccer tournament and the reviews and menu caught me . The boy eats more cereal than any kid alive so he was in heaven when he found out they serve breakfast all the times. He went with ale carte eggs, pork sausage, breakfast potatoes and short stack pancakes. I went a different way with braised short ribs with mashed potatoes and Parmesan brussel sprouts. So looking forward to this meal after a long drive from Charlotte..... Bridgett was right.... The braised short ribs with mash and bacon Parmesan brussel sprouts were outstanding. The meat was so tender I could cut it with a spoon. The brussel sprouts lightly sautéed and tasted great with the mashed and short ribs. My son loved his breakfast for dinner. He devoured his scrambled eggs potatoes and pork sausage and pancakes. He gave me half a pancake so I could use it to soak up my gravy after finishing my meal. Bridgette was a very hospitable server and help us choose our meals with her suggestions. The porch was relaxing and enjoyable. The doctor was unique. My favorite is the eagle head (See photo). I highly recommend Lunch. Supper to locals and visitors alike if you are hungry or just looking for a fun place to grab a drink with breakfast!

I don't think I've ever had a bad time whenever coming here. One of my bestie were out doing a long walk around the city and decided to come here for brunch. The food was just as good as I first time came here. I got their gravy & biscuit (aka Trainwreck) and my friend got their healthy wrap. We also got a bottle of champagne to do our version of mimosas - haha. I don't know if it's showing, but I guess it showed their trainwreck from several years ago vs to 2025 - from the photos that I'm seeing. Anyways, staff was friendly and the place is clean and it's not too crazy loud. I can't say much about parking since we were walking around, but be sure to know parallel parking and that you're in a construction zone...it's definitely a rapid growing location.

Lunch. Supper! is always one of my favorite go-to spots for brunch in Richmond! The service is always fantastic and the food is always delicious! I highly recommend trying the Chicken and Waffles for a classic brunch option! I recently went and ordered the Soft Shell Crab Eggs Benedict, which was incredible! My biggest advice: get there early to avoid the long wait times on the weekends!

Phenomenal experience. All the food is made with quality local ingredients that you can tell come in fresh every day. Every dish has its own spin to it, and you'll definitely get something fantastic that you've never had. The service was very friendly and they go out of their way to give you the best experience possible. You need to check it out any time you're in downtown Richmond!

Vibe: 7.75/10 Service: 7.5/10 - the service is good, but there is generally confusion about the difference between the Lunch! and Supper! restaurants. We waited for a table at Lunch! but realized we had meant to be at Supper! when we got to our table and looked over the menu Value: 7.25/10 Pork rind nachos: 8/10 The Greek omelette (egg whites) w/ breakfast potatoes: 9.25/10 - I love this dish!! Supper! Cubano: 8/10 Overall: 7.96/10 (3.98/5) [To clarify our review system: 10 = we'll never have anything else as good as this in our lives (we use 10 very sparingly!) 9 = extraordinary 8 = great 7 = above average 6 = average Anything below 6 is being critical]

This review is specifically pertaining to the supper portion of the restaurant. We placed our names on a waitlist and were seated about 30-40 minutes after in the covered outdoor area that was greenhouse style - lovely area! The food was delicious and our waitress was friendly. Their fried chicken is mouthwatering and flavorful. The Mac and cheese is also a standout and very good. Portions are generous. I loved that the menu had a huge amount of variety so there is truly something for everyone there. I think the only improvement I would offer is some more clarity on the different parts of the restaurant - it seems one portion has a limited menu and the other (where we ate) is more extensive. I didn't realize that it was two separate places (though right next to each other) and only learned this upon arrival. There are certain things not on the menu on each so it's worth knowing this before you go!

Lunch. Supper! in Scott's Addition reads like a small space with a faint dive-bar feel, which is an odd fit among the sleeker spots nearby. We were seated at a high-top and, despite being two of the only guests, were largely ignored by service. Breakfast was uneven. The potatoes were nicely done and the omelet was reasonably moist, if shy on flavor. The corned beef hash missed the mark: dry meat, not much seasoning, and the components never really integrated. The sunny-side-up egg on top was cooked competently, but it could not carry the otherwise middling dish alone. Plates took longer than expected to arrive and, once they did, tasted like something you might find at a greasy spoon for significantly less money. Nothing was terrible, but nothing tempted us back either.

Really good food, really cute, and good service. Be aware that there is always a super long wait for brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. So plan to put your name in, go for a little stroll, get a coffee nearby at roastology, and then come back. Because the wait was over an hour because they're so packed. Worth it tho

A friend and I came for brunch this past weekend. We were both excited to try this restaurant as we'd heard lots of good things. Parking was a little tricky, but we were able to find a spot not too far away. I didn't realize that the restaurant was separated into two parts-as you enter, you go right for lunch and left for dinner. It was a really cute place. We sat outside and were able to enjoy the music coming from the "dinner" yard. I opted for the Sauer's Garden omelet with a side of cheesy grits. My friend got the avocado toast. She got a mimosa and I got a bloody mary. I really enjoyed the omelet and the cheesy grits tasted good (like a hearty mac and cheese), but the grits were undercooked and a bit crunchy. My friend also liked her avocado toast. The drinks were yummy as well. I'm glad I finally made it here and would definitely consider it the next time I'm in Scotts Addition.

Supper is probably one of the rare spots in Richmond where the food is consistently on point. I've never ordered a dish that had to go back. It's always hot. It's always well-seasoned. And it always hits. The chicken and oysters are perfectly fried nice and crunchy every time. The drinks are balanced and done right. No guessing. No surprises. Just solid execution. It's one of those places you go when you want good food and you don't feel like taking a risk. When you have a favorite dish, you know it's going to taste the same the first time, the tenth time, and every time after that. Consistency matters and Supper delivers.

The Summit Omelet Train Wreck One of the "specials" poutine with chorizo sausage and queso
    Rita R.

On Sundays we brunch!! I've driven by Lunch.Supper quite a few times and have always been intrigued, the outside of the restaurant is very unique and when we went in the atmosphere was even more cool! There's an outside bbq smoker, an outside bar area(maybe used during the summer?) and games to play. Theres also covered seating but we went in and sat at the tall tables. We came in for Sunday brunch and I thought it would be crowded but it wasn't at all, our server was super attentive and very lively! Amazing customer service for sure, we started with mimosas and shared their latest special which was a poutine with chorizo and queso, absolutely delicious. You gotta try it if it's still available! I ordered the summit omelette, which was sausage, cheese and veggies with a side of cheese grits, and my friend had the Trainwreck. I enjoyed everything honestly but my friend said the biscuits on the Trainwreck were dry and the cheese grits tasted weird. Personally I have no complaints, I will for sure be back, the pricing was reasonable and the vibe was 10/10!

I ordered a Philly cheesesteak and a Greek salad, which was a satisfying combination. The lunch crowd was lowkey and relaxed and I noticed about four people pull up and break out their laptops at the bar to work while they ate. My late lunch snaked into happy hour, so I ended up ordering a cocktail and a key lime pie for dessert. The pie had a delicous graham cracker crust and tasty key lime flavor; however, I was pretty stuffed by this point so I couldn't finish it. Happy hour was really bumping with a great crowd. Nearly every seat at the bar was taken and the music was pretty good. One bartender was on duty servicing the entire bar on her own and when happy hour hit, she got slammed. She held it down though! They checked in on us a fair number of times, but they still forgot to return to give us what we had asked for. By the time we were ready to leave, we still haven't gotten our dressings or our condiments. I also had asked for my burger to be well done, but I got a burger with quite a bit of pink in it. I didn't want to ask for it to be placed back on the grill because I didn't really want to wait longer for my food. Although I wanted my burger to be well done and I didn't get it that way, it was still pretty good. The fries though, I think was the best part of it. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crunchy! I also ordered a coke. Just a heads up, they don't do free refills on the sodas, so each cup is $4. My party also ordered salmon l'orange and a romano salad with salmon. My friends really enjoyed their main dishes, but we did ask for extra dressing. The restaurant is decorated in a boho-style vibe, and it was cute. We found the lighting on the side dining area to be a little bit too dim once the sun went down, but I do think it would've been perfect for a date night vibe. Overall, we had an okay experience.

Upon entering, I was reminded of a 1950s pharmacy by the humongous "Prescriptions" sign hanging above the bar, and the antique furniture, bar, and barstools splayed throughout Tarrant's. There was a solid crowd at the bar; it's clear there is a regular crowd that sits and hangs out here. We were promptly seated by a young blonde woman in the dining section (behind the bar). Our server, Nadia, was an enchanting brunette, training another young server, Sierra. She took our drink orders and gave us plenty of time to review the menu, checking in after a few minutes to see if we were ready. We finally decided, my partner ordered the 10" Bianca White (pizza), and I chose the Sailor Sandwich. Unfortunately, the sailor was not in the cards for me, and Nadia suggested the Reuben as they were similar. They brought out breadsticks while we waited, and the food arrived within 10-15 minutes. I was pleased with the atmosphere, the old-fashioned chandeliers, the large mirror, the floral paintings, and the rustic frames, all of which added to the restaurant's stated aesthetic. The pizza was hot and savory, while the Reuben had buttery toast, crispy corned beef, and a light smattering of sauerkraut (TBH, I didn't even notice the sauerkraut). For dessert, we indulged in the upside-down walnut apple pie, served with vanilla ice cream, all made from scratch, and beautifully delicate. Our time at Tarrant's Cafe seemed like a stroll into the past; the only indication of modernity was the ordering kiosk used by the staff. We truly enjoyed our time and had deeply meaningful conversations without enduring the hustle and bustle or the rowdy cacophony of an intense crowd.
