$3800 to fix an oil leak every single other problem still remains but there quick to call you oh you need this you need that. How about you just fix what it was brought into you for in the first place. How many months and 4000 dollars later. And they didn't even put the oil cap back on so oil spilled out all over the engine. Absolute garbage will be looking into contacting someone to warn people off read more

I would not recommend doing buisness here. I went in for a diesel emissions test and everything passed, but my check engine bulb was burnt out. When they started my vehicle it didnt come on momentarily. At this point they could have told me and I could have replaced the bulb in 10 minutes. And I would have appreciated the savings of paying for the $75 test twice. Houska another shop allows a retest if it's a bulb for 90 days. It's a no brainer, take you vehicle where they care about your pocket as well as your car. read more

I am so impressed with the time and attention Brian gave me when I brought my GMC 2500 in with a fuel leak that was misdiagnosed by the dealership. Brian took more time to not only educate me about the issue but also took the time to look thru the notes from the dealership from prior work. He was incredibly fair with the price as well. Took my 2006 Duramax to this shop oct 2017. Here I am months later and still have a coolant leak. So patiently I took it back to them again. The problem with the truck initially started with pressure on system days after sitting. Since the water pump and other coolant parts have been replaced. 2nd return they did water pump and other coolant system parts. 2m later and coolant light is on. So I took it to MIDAS -they add fluid. I called Kayla immediately to schedule it back in Lundstedt Automotive. We agreed on dropping truck off on Saturday and them starting it on Tuesday. I left truck, put the key in the key box and got a ride back to Cheyenne. Though scheduled I didn't get a phone call Tuesday. I didn't think much about it. I know how shops get busy. Which really was my attitude about the whole situation. Things happens and a little grace can go a long way despite being the third time I'd returned the truck for coolant issues. But then Wednesday morning happened which changed my tune. Brian called rudely asking about my conversation at MIDAS. Asking me questions like "well how did that conversation go?" "in what order did the Midas guy and I phrase things about "pressure" on the cap?" I humored Brian as he talked to me like I was two years old. Going over the convo at Midas as well as the timeline of the repairs Lundstedt did! As his attitude continued I realized... wait. Why am I explaining this over the phone when my truck is in your driveway and was scheduled yesterday? And other than a half a gallon of coolant Midas added; Lundstedt has done all the work thus far Brian! Literally the truck is parked right in front of your shop. It's your job to diagnose- then call with answers or line of attack. Really Brian? You have records of work done! New water pump (not caught the first time) and yet they didn't replace the thermostat's! Apparently general practice at every other shop I've contacted. Perhaps I should have a semantical conversation with Brian about replacing the very cheap parts on the way out of expensive repairs that takes you deeper into a motor to save your customers money. Lundstedt's not interested in that. Instead All I get is "cap semantics", attitude. then he scolded me that I didn't put the keys in an envelope! Really? Are there envelopes available? Is there a sign that says -please leave your key in the envelope? So what are you upset about? The key or that you suck at your job and 3 tries later are stumped. So you call lashing out at me the customer because a key fell between the plastic bin and you couldn't find it. Which is interesting because there's a scheduled 7000 pound vehicle with Wyoming plates- that you've worked on before right in front of Your front door! You'd think that'd prompt you to look for a key. Hey Brian gravity called and you are dumb! Instead you decide to act like a tool bag calling customer with trivial details that don't matter. It seems that your reviews have a consistency in this regard. Customers complain and you respond with blame and passing the buck in a rude way. Answering the poor reviews with long winded excuses. That is sadly pretty typical now days. I thought I could trust you. I thought you were original and had a superior game to the other hacks out there. So it looks like I'm just out my time/$ I looked for other places nearby for my truck. Called your diesel repair Nieghbor and what do ya know about five minutes later I got a phone call back from Brian saying he talked with his tech an Dad... "saying we will still work on your truck." He didn't even apologize- quite the opposite actually. After insulting me he acted like he fired me! Oh really Brian you'll still work on my truck as if you fired me? I fired you and thought that your professionalism and you telling me not to "break your balls was rude". It was at this point in the conversation that I got frustrated. I can't believe you would talk to a customer like that! I paid good money at this shop, my patience, my time, and my effort to bring the truck 60 miles away only to find out that you suck. What I suspect is Brian acted like a jerk because he knows they messed up and somethings really wrong with the truck. I'm sure I'll find out that there is something catastrophically wrong with the truck because of his shoddy work. So he made it about keys and semantics so he could build in the excuse he'd need later to side step accountability. I intend to file a small claims suit once I know the damage and or epic failure of Lundstedt Automotive. We take our bus to Lundstedt for everything except emissions (their scale only goes up to 14,000 lbs). Young man who discussed the problem with me was very knowledgeable and could explain everything very well to me, even drew me a picture to explain! He had to do a complicated sensor replacement and the sensors kept malfunctioning. Super patient staff, charged very fairly for the amount of work done, were quick and thorough in caring for my bus. Felt really safe leaving the bus at their shop, was able to do key drop after hours. We won't take our big yellow bus anywhere else (except for emissions) after such great experiences with the Lundstedt family. read more

I've taken my Ford F350 to Lundstedt for work on my truck. Each experience has exceeded expectations. The mechanics I've worked with are very knowledgeable and they've been quick. First, a $60 alignment turned in to a $215 repair bill. OK, fair enough I guess. I'm not a mechanic and can't really judge what work really needed to be done. However, when my van continued to pull right AFTER the work was completed, I took it back to have them look at it. They responded (after a couple of hours) with "it must be the brakes" and wanted authorization (aka $) to "investigate" a potential problem. When I pressed, they had not actually seen an issue with the brakes and had not even test driven the van to diagnose. Their attitude was, "our alignment is good, must be something else". They requested I leave the van overnight and would call me the next morning to review - No call. I called them and Brian responded that they were working on it and he would call me after they know something. So I drove by. I found my van sitting out front in the parking lot - not being worked on. I guess it's possible that it was unfortunate timing, so I drove by 5 hours later and found the same thing. I went inside to get a status and Brian said he hadn't been able to get to it to "rotate the tires so he could prove it was a tire issue". It seemed to me that they were resolved to find anything else to blame the issue on (with cost) and would take no responsibility for not resolving the issue initially. I decided to cut my losses and asked for my keys. My experience was lousy. I do not recommend these guys. read more

These folks know what they are doing. I've been getting my cars fixed there for over 8 years. Many different cars and a jeep. They figure out what is wrong and they fix it. I have yet had to take any mechanical repairs back for a second go-round. They are not cheap but they are worth the money. Unfortunately you are not able to give a place a negative star rating or I would. This place is about as crooked as they come. Took my diesel in for emissions test and there was a check engine light on. In gas vehicles it doesn't matter on emissions testing so I thought nothing of it. They get in my truck at the front parking lot and drive it around to the back to do the test. Twenty minutes later they pull back around and said that the truck passed, except the check engine light was on so it failed. I asked, why did you even test it then, because you saw the light when you started it and drove it around the building? This was the owner I was dealing with and he said that the rules are once they get in the vehicle, the test has started, so they can't stop. Mister by the rules then??? NOT- he then proceeds to tell me how they can go through and gut the emissions system for me so it will pass the visual test and that these trucks always pass the air test! So one minute when he wants my $100, he's by the rules. Then his next breath is telling me how they can do illegal alterations to my truck by deleting the emissions system on it!! read more
