Hate we waited until the last night of our trip to visit but at least we got there! The fish and chips were so crispy with the corn flake crust and terrific fries! The scallops and gnocchi were divine though, with the garlicky mushroom sauce and green peas. At some point the bartender was chatting with a customer/friend next to us and showed her a new bottle they had stocked. I recognized the name from a recent trip to France, Chartreuse, googled it and decided I needed to try it since I didn't before. I found a cocktail that sounded just up my alley. I shared it with the bartender and POOF The Greenpoint appeared. Love that she was open to mixing something new up for us! Great, relaxed vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating. The scallop & gnocchi dish is so good, I can't help but get it every time now!! I hope they're able to improve the acoustics in the dining room (which is on the small side). It's not very relaxing if there are kids around, you certainly hear everyone and everything all around you. I think we'll try to eat at the bar from now on, and only come when it's just 2 of us. Very nice experience here! We came for a late lunch/ early dinner when they opened and were so pleased there were no lines and no crowds even though Harwichport was buzzing with people. Service was great and super efficient. I was even surprised at how formal the service was; when we sat down the waitress presented the menu to me like this was a fine dining establishment. Although this place is a bit pricey for what it is, the food was great and I throughly enjoyed the crab Rangoon app and my scallops roll with fries. They have a reasonably priced house beer. What a great find! Mad Minnow offers high end food in a casual environment that features a family friendly outdoor dining space. A rare combo in the Cape. We show up at 5:30 and able to get an outdoor table after 10 min. They also called us after 15 min that an indoor table was available. Note if you sit outside you can order the full food menu outside with limited service but most of the drink menu requires you going inside. The tented picnic tables were perfect for all the families with kids. It is first come, first serve. The drink menu had lots of fun cocktail options as well as a great selection of local beers. The food is fantastic and offers a great variety of dishes covering Italian, Asian, and seafood. I absolutely loved the scallops and gnocchi - perfectly cooked scallops and pillowy gnocchi that just melt in your mouth. My wife enjoyed the lobster roll. The fries were especially good. The risotto with cod was excellent - a little salty for my mother in law but I thought it was seasoned well. The risotto was spot on. The kids Mac and cheese was delicious - could be a star entree side on its on. The food comes out very quickly so no long waits for hungry people. There is a shared parking lot that was busy but we managed to grab a spot. Absolutely recommend this spot. read more

We stood awkwardly at the bar deciding if we were going to stay or not and we put our name on the TWO hour waitlist... and then it happened, a seat opened up at the end of the bar so I scooped it up! This place does it right. Vibes chill and laid back Staff is very knowledgeable and on top of things ie you won't sit there feeling ignored, ever!!! And the food is CRIMINALLY GOOD. So, it's been several years since we were last up here. Ambience was much lower-key than last time we were here. They used to have some bar games and fire pits but those are gone, now. Not nearly as busy, but could be that it was a Tuesday night and the whole Cape seems to be winding down with everyone leaving for school. And there was no wait. Bonus! However, the bolognese did NOT disappoint!! Absolutely delicious. We couldn't remember what it tasted like last time since it's been so long, but that didn't matter. Just amazing. Almost like lobster bisque mixed with bolognese. The Mrs absolutely loved the shrimp scampi, too. Mixed drinks very good as well, but it's silly they make you go inside to the bar for certain drinks. The local lettuce salad is so fresh with a house made dressing that makes this salad one you crave. Very good chowder and a fresh buratta with truly tasty tomatoes. Stopped in for dinner on a YELP rec a few weeks ago when I was in the area visiting a relative. Staff was friendly and we got seated right away. It took awhile to get a menu and table settings, but we were not in a rush. The menu looked really interesting and I almost ordered the crab cake tater tots, but ended up with the baby kale caesar with grilled chicken and my friend went with the fish filet sando. Overall, I thought the kale caesar was pretty fantastic, generous, with an excellent dressing. I was a bit disappointed in the grilled chicken which was not grilled at all and looked like the reheated frozen chicken. My companion LOVED the fish filet sandwich, it was big and tasty and came with fries (the kind I like, thin and crispy leaning toward overcooked). Overall, would definitely go back! read more

3.5 stars. Food was really quite good - I had the tuna. Drinks were pretty decent - mine was good but others were a little too sweet. Servers and employees were super nice. Biggest issue is this place is REALLY noisy. We all sat and ate our food staring at each other as it was too hard to shout/hear. Maybe they could look into some mitigation/soft surfaces? The place was vibrant and elegant, but did not require you to dress up, but feel like you were in a nice and fancy place. The bartender recommended the curry salmon and my wife absolutely love it. Perfect blend of spices, without being spicy with a nice crunchy and flavorful salmon that just melted with each bite. I had the shrimp and crab cake po'boy that was just as good, even though the cole slaw needed more dressing, because it was a bit dry, but not enough to bring down the main course, which was excellent. Went her for dinner with relatives. Place is very busy, first come, first served seating so arriving right after opening is a good idea. We were seated right away and provided menus. A good selection of appetizers and entrees are available. Crab cake tater tots and fried dill pickles were ordered for appetizers and the entrees included fish and chips, chicken sandwich, filet of fish sandwich and a couple of other things. Everything to be brought to the table at once. Everything arrived at once as requested. The pickle chips had a nice lite batter and were nicely fried and super hot so clearly they were just out of the fried. The crab tater tots were three to the plate. Nicely plated and very soft and plenty of crab meat. Flavor was good but nothing to get excited about. The fish sandwich was described as not really having much flavor. Fish and chips were pretty much the same. Both were covered in a light crunchy batter which could have used a little more seasoning. Fries were nothing special and not really very crunchy. The chicken sandwich seemed to be the star of the table. Very large portion overflowing the roll it was on, very crunchy coating, nice and moist with good flavor. Service was very good but the restaurant is very noisy and found it difficult to hold a reasonable conversation at the table. Very popular place with plenty of people waiting to be seated. Large outdoor are with acoustic guitarists the day we were there. Overall it was okay but not sure there will be a return visit anytime soon. read more

Moscow mule was fantastic! This place was our 3rd attempt at dinner for 5 in the area with no reservation. We had fish and chips-hubby really enjoyed this. The tastiest, crispiest fish he's had in awhile. Not sure the portion was worth $30, but he enjoyed it. Three of us had the pasta dishes. The bolognese was good. No complaints. The short rib papardelle was also good no complaints. We also had the gnocchi and scallops. My daughter really enjoyed this, but did have a sandy scallop so a bit disappointed for the price to have this happen. We got a few appetizers also-lobster rangoons, street corn and crab tater tots. As usual, the Great Gal found this restaurant by checking the local reviews. Certainly glad she did! Not sure where to start the compliments, but let's go with food first. We opted with three appetizers, and Wow!, all three were rock stars; perhaps with the short ribs and root vegetables leading the way (even though they were served last). We started with da chowdah (A+, and so far the best we've enjoyed during day three of our six day visit to the Cape Cod area.) This was followed by tasty Korean rangoons, filled with a cheesy lobster stuffing, before we hit the short ribs. All three earned my coveted bitchin' rating. We were even lucky enough to meet the sous chef who prepared these delights Big kudos to Chef Lyon and Sous Ryan. Will, manning the bar, most ably provided the liquid framework, including a very interesting espresso martini finish. He also gave us insight and recommendations to pursue during our stay. Further color was provided by a gent we dubbed the Music Man, and meeting a wonderful couple, Ed and Heather, that shared travel experiences with us. All in all, it was a superb evening for us. Seeing as we were hungry we excuse the prices plus we know the pandemic isn't helping. Orzo pasta salad, tasted like it was made with Italian dressing. Overly sweet. Orzo was cooked perfect though. Chicken tenders were BOMB fries was soggy with oil, gross. Po boy...fries were also soggy. Sauce that came with it was yummy but my husband could of easily eaten two of them, not that filling. Bolo...I was really excited for this until I tasted the sweet sauce and was completely turned off, who makes a bolo with a sweet sauce???!! Ragoons were cooked to long the cream cheese was curdled inside, also came with a sweet dipping sauce. Our server wasn't attentive at all, we kept finding ourselves looking for her. Overall took about 45 to get our food. Maybe calling ahead would be better. Outdoor seating definitely isn't 6ft apart. As someone who loves 10 yen I was excited to try this menu but everything is overly sweet as if whoever is cooking doesn't believe in salt, perfect for kids or people with a sweet tooth. read more
