    Margherita pizza
    Abbie B.

We had a reservation for the patio, but when we arrived the hostess told us she "didn't see" our reservation and said there were no more tables outside -- unless we wanted to wait 30 minutes. Oddly enough, there were plenty of open picnic tables, which they did end up seating us at one. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for any of that. The pizza tasted frozen and just wasn't good. Overall, pretty disappointing experience and wouldn't recommend.

Atmosphere was great! Beer was great! Wings were good. Service mid. Pizza was terrible! We should have listened to the reviews and stuck with the beer and apps!

    A beer and a water = $18

As someone who frequently travels to Manhatten and Beverly Hills ... I am pretty shocked when a restaurant on Cape Cod matches the price of those places. Especially one where the food is subpar and the service is snooty. To charge $13 for a single 16 oz. draft beer and $4 for a soda water is insanity, even in these days of crazy inflation. Think about that ... $20 used to buy you a meal at a restaurant ... at Ember, that buys you a beer and a water. As someone who has 3 beers when I go out, it would cost me half a hundred dollars just to get a buzz. We also had the pizza, which is good if you are drunk but is no better than a frozen pizza from the supermarket when sober. We heard so many people complain about the quality of the food and how long the food takes to arrive, based on reviews, we are not alone. Yhe service here too is ice cold. Lots of 20-somethings who are clearly counting down the clock until their shift ends. Between the customers and the staff, it seems nobody wants to be here. Overall, I'd totally skip this place. If you are a 20 year old who wants to get their drink on ... the prices are lower and draft selection is better at the beergarden in town. For food, Brax Landing is better. I hate to be critical but the cost value proposition is way off here and 90% of people leave annoyed and regretful. Also the 4% credit card fee ... tacky.

    Congratulations to my Nièce Daisy

Service was very attentive and informative, and food recommendations were spot on. The special salad of spinach, goat cheese, strawberries and tomatoes was divine - one of the best starter salads ever! Bone-in pork chop with asparagus and roasted potatoes was fantastic, as was the duck w risotto. Salmon was excellent. But the culinary "coup de grâce" was the sorbet!! Truly one of the best desserts ever!! Served with fresh berries and a large cookie. Overall, a great dining experience, albeit a bit on the expensive side. With each one they asked how the burger should be cooked. Two ordered them rare and medium rare. All 4 came out well done. They did take the two back and remade them. In addition, one ordered hers with a salad instead of fries. They did take it back without offering to just bring out an extra salad and leave what was there. Our server was good , but the kitchen did not pay attention to detail. Also, the buns are monstrous on the burgers, but they aren't practical and make them hard to eat. Tends to a lot of wasted bread. On the bright side, I had the tuna nicoise, and it was very good. I would definitely get it again. We were visiting local relatives. We hope to go back with them on a future visit but hope to have a better experience.

If you want food, you have to time it right. We got there on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm, knowing that they closed at 2. Meals were not available at that time, nor were cocktails. Wine was still available in 3oz. and 5oz. pours, and we found a couple that we really enjoyed. We received fantastic service at the counter, and we were checked on several times while we were seated (we were lucky enough to get the plush chairs by the window). Their full wine list is extensive and interesting. Depending on from what direction you approach, navigation might give you a very scenic route along the circular "road." We ended up there on a Wed (happened to be our anniversary) so I only experienced the à la carte menu. Highly recommend reservations as it's a small restaurant. Parking is limited but you can park in the lot of a nearby furniture store ( across the street and a half a block east). Our server ( Maeve) is very pleasant and helpful. All staff members we encountered greeted us and seem happy to be working there. Not a full bar but many nice choices. We enjoyed Pinot noir from Oregon. We had delicious oysters, a fresh salad, Portuguese clams, and a swordfish dish. Also had a "fancy" Hoodsie dessert that was quite good. All our items were first rate. Other dishes served at neighboring tables also looked great. Noise level in restaurant is very tolerable. Pricing seemed very reasonable given quality. **** It merits stating that this restaurant( Lune) is well staffed for the number of customers they serve. We had terribly slow service the night before at Viera on Main ( Chatham) because they don't have enough staff. Lune provided very attentive service to go with their high food quality and flavor.

The meal was almost perfect--nearly all of the courses were introduced expertly and executed with haute precision. The prix fixe menu is offered on weekends, and it looked, as you can see, exciting. My favorite courses were the caviar and dessert. The white asparagus course was inspired and delicious, though it needed another minute or two to achieve a perfect texture. The sous vide veal breast was a miss. The ratio of meat to fat skewed too heavily toward fat. The diners I observed around me at the bar all left fat on their plates. That said, the sauce and spinach accompaniments were delicious. The bread, optional caviar, and dessert courses were brilliant. The wine pairings fell a bit flat, I thought--they were all good, but none compelled me to ask for more or to see the labels for later purchase. I loved watching the culinary theater from the bar seating. It was a bit more hectic than I recall from my last visit, but it was clear that the staff were working hard and collaborating effectively. A talented local artist's work on the walls here could definitely elevate the ambiance.

The main reason I cam giving the restaurant 5* was the scallops. These were far from the typical fried scallops. I'm usually there during off-peak (translation: cold) times, so I tend to gravitate towards more robust menu offerings. The French onion soup is quite good, with a nice beefy broth and a generous amount of cheese. It's nice that the restaurant offers bread, which is becoming a rarer occurrence. The entree portions are quite strong. The lemon flounder filets were nicely pan-fried and not overcooked. The seafood strudel has a good amount of seafood, including a lot of shrimp and smaller scallops. I don't think they have the cioppino anymore but that was also a quality entree as well. Service has always been friendly and professional. The servers are good at making friendly conversation without dragging down efficiency.
