Upon arrival we noticed a very, very large wait staff, smiling and ready for the evening. We were seated, greeted and provided water. Our server asked for drinks and stated they like us to order everything at once so we can relax and enjoy. We had Alexa as our waitress. She was blatantly annoyed when we chose to not imbibe in cocktails or wine with our dinner. Came back one more time after the appetizer. After that we didn't see her once. Didn't ask us how our meal was or if we needed anything. We both ordered the Clams, Calabrian Chiles, Tomatoes Spaghetti as well as a side of Garlic Broccoli Rapini. Both entrees came out barely lukewarm and the side was ice cold and unseasoned. The pasta had no sauce, spices or even olive oil and was completely tasteless. We had to ask someone for salt to give it any flavor. Way overpriced for poor, unflavored quality food. read more

Lougo was recommended by a friend of mine. It was beyond our expectations . The Eggplant Zucchini appetizer is sooo good and the Zucchini Chips are amazing. The Braised spare ribs melted in your mouth. We had their specialty soup, Chicken Cesar and I had the Salmon. All of our food was perfection. Cocktails were just spot on as well. This place is pure awful. I was there a couple days ago and I don't even know where to begin. The thing I noticed the most was i apparently had 2 servers ? Which was very confusing. A lovely girl greeted us and we had a guy take our order later. But it seemed like the girl was the one actually taking care of us. I barely saw the guy unless we wanted to order something. Also someone was at my table trying to get a plate or fill my water. Which is fine, but not when I cant even have a private conversation with the other person I'm with. Nothing against, the 2 ? servers I had, but every time I sipped my water, they were right there. I dont know how you train your staff but thats a bit too much. I told her that, she was doing great though because I figured it had more to do with the way the place is ran. Also, once i had my last bite of food, again, someone was RIGHT there. I felt very suffocated. And then when I got the wrong wine, and I said something, I saw the girl manager get irritated in range and blame the server. And I feel like at first they didnt want to believe me. But then when the girl manager came over again, it felt like she was trying to make things better which was just awkward. Like I dont need you to kiss up to me, just get me my right wine. Also, for a "classy" place, everything just seemed too much. And when they took my order, i felt like they kept picking out the most expensive items and trying to sell me on it. The only reason im giving it one star is because the food was good and the one girl. At least its the beginning of the year, you guys have enough time to change it. We were excited to try this new place. Service was very attentive, but unfortunately the kitchen was unreasonably slow and nothing met the price points, which are high. We've been to all of the higher end restaurants in Nashville and this doesn't come close. I wish I had better things to say. We printed out a particularly problematic side, and we're told they'd make a note of it. No comp, nothing else offered. We're from Long Island and thought for sure this place would remind us of home, since the owner has some great restaurants on LI. Unfortunately, this one missed the mark. When you go to an authentic Italian restaurant there are certain things that you typically expect, like some bread to dip into your pasta sauce or for the table to dip in olive oil before the meal. Not here. Want a mimosa for brunch? Your orange juice is extra. Service was very slow. The bolognese was great. The rest of the food was just ok. The place is pretty and elegant - reminded us of our favorite restaurant in Sicily. Unfortunately, probably wouldn't come back. Please just look at the photos to understand the food...delicious! We had Arancini del Luogo for an appetizer, winter salad w/beets, and then Chitarra w/meatballs and Paccheri Bolognese for our entrees and split a banana pudding for dessert. Everything was spot on and each dish had it's own unique flavor. The banana pudding was better than what you get at Magnolias Bakery in NYC and the serving is enough for 3!
