    Hard shell beef tacos

Hard shell beef tacos are consistently great here. Comes loaded with beef, lettuce, a slice of tomato, and topped with cheese. Red sauce adds nice flavor. Made to order, and the staff is friendly at the order/pickup counter. The small dining area has a few tables. Worth the stop if you're driving through town.

Taco dogs!!! My husband used to go to Taco Joe's in Norwalk. They went out of business and to find these at Lupe's just amazing! So good you have to try it!

Fast, friendly service and order preparation. Loved my carne asada tacos. Guacamole made them special and the comp side of chips and spicy red salsa were much appreciated. Very fair prices. Food very fresh. Loved the A rating too. I ate in my car cause I was on the move from one work site to the next, but they had a nice covered seating area or room that looked nice and comfortable for those wanting to dine at a table, and seemed to have a tv. I love that!

Haven't eaten here for years. I remember their burritos were very tasty. So I got on the tele, and ordered one Machaca and Carnitas burrito. Once I arrived, I told them I ordered via cell, and they told me it would be right out. Service is great and with a smile. The establishment is small with 5 parking spots but there is street parking. I received my order and was about to pay with my CC, but she said they only accepted cash. The Machaca was filled with shredded beef and very tasty. The carnitas had lettuce, guacamole, refried beans, and shredded pork. It was delicious. The refried beans were super good. Great place to stop for a quick meal.

If you love Mexican food, avoid this place! They don't use cilantro or onions, it's more like "American tacos" lettuce and tomato. Meat has no seasoning, their salsas are water down. Never again!

They were fresh, crunchy, with ample green tomatillo salsa that was flavorful, making for a very authentic bite. The beans were very good and complemented the chilaquiles perfectly. Authentic Mexican flavors showcased well. Service: The waitress was friendly, attentive, and joyfully answered my questions about the menu. I also asked about the traditional colorful head piece located behind glass next to the register and learned that it is a Chinelo, a traditional iconic carnival character from Morelos, Mexico. It is clear, the restaurant owners are proud of their heritage and are sharing it with everyone. Ambiance: The small but cozy restaurant features an incredibly vibrant, maximalist indoor garden vibe that immediately makes you feel like you are dining inside an enchanted greenhouse. Dense artificial greenery blankets the walls and ceiling. The cozy, casual neighborhood layout is packed with personality, featuring playful multicolored floral tablecloths, festive flags, and unique lived-in accents. It's an energetic setting for a lively meal.

(See attached picture). This restaurant is in such an obscure location, I can't believe I was going to a Burrito Track across the street for so many years not knowing this place existed. Friendly staff and prompt service. The unfortunate negative is it's location and I'm referring to parking. There must be 8 business crammed into this lot. With a bar to the right and a laudermat on its left finding a parking spot is like winning the lotto. Now layer in one driveway and you have to make a 3 point turn just to navigate to leave. The short answer is I will absolutely go back to this place as long as there is a parking space to be had.

It comes as part of an entree, but never found out which one. Turns out the cook/owner was once the executive chef at Angel Stadium. So food was solid, traditional and nothing fancy nouvelle or la de da...nothing crazy experimental...just good solid Mex that will satisfy a craving. The Jamaica was not too sweet not too sour....not watered down...light and refreshing....wish I had asked for a refill or maybe they don't do refills on agua frescos, I don't know. Very nice extensive menu. Plenty of free parking. Tucked in the corner of a strip mall on Roaemead Blvd. Not easily visible from the street in any direction. So pay attention to your GPS.

We came for Friday night dinner and were unfortunately disappointed with the food. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive that set the tone for a potential great dinning experience. This was our first time here and our server went over the menu, which added another layer of enjoyment to our evening. This night the restaurant had live music and the singer serenade my wife since it was her birthday and so did the staff. Now let's talk about the heart and soul of El Chlito, the food. The menu boasts an array of authentic Mexican cuisine that fell short of our expectations. Unfortunately my wife's dish was rancid and unpalatable but my dish was delicious and mouthwatering. We decide not to complain since we were enjoying our drinks snd live music. So this was definitely a hit and miss dinning experience when it came to this food. However the restaurant was festive and décor esthetically pleasant. We so wanted all the components of the restraint to shine but unfortunately the food fell short of our expectations!
