this was one of the best things i'd eaten in well over the past few weeks. i eat in a calorie deficit about 95-99% of the time but certain days i allow myself to indulge. boy was this indulgent. freshly prepared, hot and melty and absolutely delicious! my eyes were certainly bigger than my stomach and one half of the regular sized calzone was more than enough for me. this place, each time i come eat here (which is rarer these days but not for lack of quality or service, but just simply my diet), has always had great workers and great pizza in my opinion. it didn't take long to receive our meals (i'd eaten here with my niece and nephew who both ordered two slices of pizza each along with my monster sized calzone) and everything was cooked fresh and delicious. the inside has always been a bit odd to me with all the decorations and dark lighting but that's really what sets this restaurant apart from the other pizza spots here in cleveland. read more

Chintzy decor but at least it's a vibe. Service is great - if you like feeling like you're visiting your crazy cousin's house. The calzones are massive. The pizza is fine. The bread is unnecessary....tastes like everything else and already comes with some of the meals. I was told to order the lasagna, but it was nothing remarkable. I have regrets. I give three stars to places that are just fine...I would go again if convenient. We went here yesterday with high hopes after reading reviews. We drove 45 min. to eat here and left very disappointed. The ONLY highlight of the trip was we came on "half-off draft beer" Tuesday. Other than that, the food was way too expensive and mediocre at best. Pizza: Sad to say this, but seriously Dominos, Papa Johns, Pizza Hut are all better. For $22.50 we got a Medium Supreme. You would think you would get loaded toppings for that amount. Not so! This was one of the worst pizza's I have ever had. I would not pay $10 for it! Lasagna: I would say this was the best thing of the 3 things we tried, but still only mediocre. My wife said way too much sausage flavor. I like sausage, so it was decent. Garden Salad: $6.75 for a cheap, iceberg bowl-full of lettuce with only a little cheese and bread as croutons. The other things (mushrooms, tomatoes, etc.) could barely be found. Needless to say, for over $50 of food and a 45 min. drive, we will not be back. read more

The quality has gone down hill. Went out for a good pizza and Lupi's has been good in the past. That was definitely not the case tonight! This place will never be mistaken for fast food. Does not matter when you come it seems to be a long wait for food. If it's very busy you could have a wait around an hour between ordering line and sitting to wait on your food. The food is very good here but organization and processing of orders are slow. The bread is great, pizzas and salads. Self serve drinks unless you get beer. Dinning area is lit up with Christmas lights year round. Beware of cold days/ nights and get a seat far from the door. They have no winter door break so one open door rushes in with cold wind. read more

While dropping off a load of dorm room essentials for my son, we noticed that a new Lupi's had taken over the old location of Slice of Roma. So for dinner we called all the family in the area to meet here for dinner. We were happy to find the interior design, the food, and atmosphere was consistent with all the other locations we'd tried. The fresh ingredients and build-to-order style always makes for a delicious pizza every time. I did mix things up this time and went with a calzone made with the white sauce, spicy Italian sausage, feta cheese, and cloves of roasted garlic. The calzone's crust was thin and crispy and gigantic. Because of the funky industrial theme, the hard surfaces can make for a noisy environment when. Being so close to Lee University, it's going to be full frequently, but we just beat out the dinner rush and got our party of seven right away. While we waited for our meals we were also able to take advantage of the free WiFi. read more

Over all on level with Papa Johns on quality. They actually toss dough here and the kitchen is in semi open view. There is art on the walls for sale by local artists. Nice atm. Five Stars! I've been to Lupi's a few times and have always been impressed with the taste of their pizza. I also like the decor and the atmosphere. Being on a keto diet tends to limit my ability to eat a good pizza. My coworker wanted to eat here yesterday so i decided to see if they could fix me something without the crust. The manager came over and asked what I'd like in my meal and he said he could put some toppings into a lasagna dish with some cheese and cook it. The meal was great but what I like more than anything is their willingness to adapt to my needs. They didn't hesitate to accommodate my desires and my diet. The pizza has a good taste but it's over priced and undercooked. They are really heavy on the cheese and hardly any sauce. one bite and the entire slab of toppings (cheese and all) slides right off and you are left with just the crust. I have eaten Lupi's in a long time ago, But to be honest there was a little bit of alcohol involved and I don't remember how the pizza was the last time. Today I was getting my tags at the courthouse, and a lady was talking about today is lasagna day.....my fat boy radar went off!!!! I said do what!?!?? she said today's lasagna day down at Lupi's!!! she said you can't beat it, so I went and got it!!! when I tell you it is one huge portion of lasagna for a lunch portion and a piece of pretty good bread (probably not the best) I ain't lying! I got at home and this was probably the best restaurant lasagna I've ever eaten in my life.!!And for a piece of lasagna, a piece of bread, and a drink it was under 10 bucks!!! I was looking for a different pizza place than the regular chain stores and tried Lupi's because it was close to the house. I ordered a large pepperoni and a half order of bruschetta. The price was extremely high for what I got. The bruschetta was tasty as well as the sauce that comes with it. You can tell they use good cheese and toppings and they did taste ok but the crust was just awful. It passed the eye test but is was soggy and undercooked. Honestly did not enjoy it purely based on the crappy dough/crust. Then thinking about how much I paid made it even worse. I also tried baking it a little longer at home but it never crisped up. They really need to work on that. It could have been top notch based on the rest and then I wouldn't have minded the price. Are the rest cold the next day and it was ok. Service was great. In town fir some baseball and this was recommended by a friend. The place did not disappoint. When we walked up the smell from the outside was very inviting. As you walk in it's a little disorienting as we were not sure what to do. As we looked around, we saw that you order at the counter and then sit. I recommend looking at menu before you go if it is your first as not to hold up then line. Good selection that can meet most people's needs for food, no sandwiches. We go one of their signature pies, salads and a bread loaf. The selection of beers are good and have some local ones also. We left our tab open so we could get mire beers at the table. The salads were good but a little pricey for what they were. The bread loaf was really good except for the oil they give you was not as flavorful as I would have liked. The pie we got was great. It was good just right. Their dough is awesome with a hint of sweetness. We would definitely recommend and come back. read more

One of our favorite local pizza spots. The crust and sauce are what makes them really stand out- Much better than any place else that we've tried in the area. Try the ground sausage- It's not Italian sausage, but more of a 'farm' sausage. Something a bit different. It's great with black olives. The Brushetta is great, and it's served with a fresh tomato 'salsa'... Makes a great starter. We always get an order to make sure we'll have some leftover pizza to take home with us. I've tried this place twice now and both times I was disappointed. The first time they didn't have Italian sausage, the pizza was soggy, the pizza had almost no sauce, the basil I ordered as a topping was nearly nonexistent, and there was almost no roasted garlic. A previous review showed a ridiculous amount of roasted garlic on the pizza - which is exactly why I ordered it as a topping. There was not even one piece of garlic per pizza. The second time I was able to try the Italian sausage but I wasn't impressed. I think this place is overpriced and just okay. Not worth saving the leftovers. read more
