They were moist and they were absolutely to DIE FOR!!!! The cupcakes as a whole were delicious and we ordered 4 dozen and two jumbo cupcakes for the birthday boys!!! NOT A CRUMB LEFT!!! Amazing cupcakes with service that goes above and beyond! Lani of Luscious Lovelies is such a sweetheart and her cupcakes are sure to please. She has I think one of the best cupcake varieties out there with a price that's hard to beat. How many other people make bacon cupcakes?! We went with getting mini cupcakes (choco salted caramel & caramel bacon) from LL for our wedding. They were a hit. What really put this whole experience over the top was that I had trouble finding cupcake stands for our event. I asked Lani if she knew anyone and after she couldn't find a rental service. It was my week to bring snacks for an extra long day at school with a bunch of my classmates. I decided to order a few boxes of Luscious Lovelies (Chocolate Salted Caramel and Carrot Cake). I was a bit worried the other students wouldn't consider cupcakes adequate "snack" food for our 6 hour day but my snacks were by far the best of the semester! First of all, the cupcakes are way bigger than your average Safeway cupcake. Definitely filling! I was IN LOVE with the Carrot Cake cupcake - the cream cheese frosting was the best I have EVER had and the cupcakes reminded me of my favorite carrot cake birthday cakes I had when I was small. While I'm not a chocolate person, my classmates went absolutely nuts over the Chocolate Salted Caramel cupcakes and they were super pissed I didn't bring more (sorry guys!). One friend, a true dessert connoisseur, said the Chocolate Salted Caramel cupcake was the best cupcake he's EVER had. If it was anything like the Carrot Cake cupcake, I'm sure he's right! I ordered 3 dozen cupcakes for my husband's coming home party. Mahealani stayed in contact with me for the few months before the event. She was always replying in a few days and answered all of my questions. I got chocolate salted caramel, carrot cake, and she invented some snickerdoodle cupcakes just for my husband, and they were all FANTASTIC!! She even let me borrow her cupcake stand to display them. I had the chance to indulge in the chocolate cupcake. And let me describe my initial reaction. When I had opened the package, I noticed all of the cupcakes were in unison with another. Completely identical, each had a beautiful, matte candy pearl nestled in the decadent frosting that was graced on top of these cupcakes. After taking my first bite, I closed my eyes. My senses indulged. I felt my heart sing, I felt my tongue envelope in the wonderful taste. I could taste the wholeness. The sweetness. The love put into each cupcake. It was almost too good to put down! So I ate five more and didn't share. They're amazing. So delicious. There was salted caramel, chocolate, guava cake and other varieties. I had to try them ALL!!! Lani was there and she is a very sweet lady who is professional and keeps the customer service alive. After reading all of the great reviews about it, I decided to order some to send to my boyfriend for Valentine's day, and when I called I got a moody, young girl answering the phone with a demanding, "Hello?!". I only got as far as inquiring if they delivered their cupcakes (to which I got an, "umm yeah?") before I was hung up on. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, writing it off as a technical issue with the phone, but I called back twice after that, letting the phone ring for at least two minutes with no answer. I used Luscious Lovelies to provide cupcakes for my large baby shower. We ordered 14 dozen mini cupcakes in 4 different flavors so people could have multiple cupcakes. Everything went perfectly. The cupcakes were delivered in a timely matter, were delicious, and Lani even went out of her way to make little signs for each flavor of cupcake. On top of everything else, unlike other bakeries, there was no push back on having multiple flavors or for ordering just 2-3 weeks before the event. Plus she had the most competitive pricing. I would definitely recommend her bakery to other throwing events. My only negative comment is that the customer has to begin a lot of the conversations and communications. The bakery doesn't do a lot of follow-up emails or calls. I had to reach out to get confirmations and had left a few voicemails before hearing back, which made me a little uneasy. However, if you're on top of it and know what you want. As long as you communicate it, you will get what you ask for and you will get it in a timely matter. read more

I consider myself an all-desserts connoisseur and I can sincerely say that out of all of the bakeries, speciality shops, etc. that I have tried, Lucscious Lovelies is truly INCREDIBLE! I've had everything from the red velvet cupcakes (delicious cream cheese frosting and moist cake) to the mini "cakeballs" to the most amazing "Samoa" cupcakes - as in Samoa Girl Scout cookies: caramel, drizzled chocolate, and coconut AND because I ordered them as a Hawaiian theme, there were candied plumeria flowers on each cupcake! I even stored the last one in the refrigerator for a week when I went on vacation and when I came back, I microwaved it for about 20 seconds, and it was as fresh as when I first go them. So why I would order from them: excellent customer service, easy to work with, customizable orders, reasonable prices (MUCH better pricing than Sprinkles or Kara's and MUCH better tasting!) and flavors that would not find anywhere else. This review is solely based on a recent experience I had. My sister used Luscious Lovelies for a previous event on which the cake, cake pops and cookies were all delicious. The cake decor wasn't great, but I believe that's not their specialty anyway. We ended up happy with that event (4 stars). However, recently we started planning a new event and Lani was very unresponsive. I asked for a quote based on some additional details, and did not hear back despite sending text messages and calling. I think that is unprofessional and rude. If busy and could no longer be done, then a simple text saying so would have sufficed (0 or 1 star). They need to work on their customer service big time.
