I was there yesterday and the lady doing my pedi ( lee lee) was so rude. First the water was piping hot so I told her.... Then the water was freezing cold. She only shows you the $45 pedicure options as if those are your only options. I flip the page in the book.... She flips it back to how she handled it to me only displaying $45 pedis. If you pick a basic pedi your experience will go down hill from there. She is no longer interested in providing a good service. She painted my toes and walked away never said thank you or nothing. Lush Nail Bar is fairly new to the area. I've been three times now and things seem okay. It's new, so it's beautiful on the inside. It is very spacious and well lit. I have gotten gel manicures and my eyebrows done. The manicures are standard. Nothing outstanding, but not bad either; although my hand/arm massage could have lasted a bit longer than it did. I really liked the job that was done on my eyebrows. When I've gone, it has always been very busy. Basically, you sign in with your name, the service you want, and the time you arrived. I've never had to wait a very long amount of time. They seemed to be organized here and that's a good thing. I noticed that they have sodas in a small refrigerator and some customers with wine. I'm not sure if you have to request a drink or what. Maybe you need to spend a certain amount before you are offered a beverage. Well, I was thirsty when I left. The prices here are comparable to other shops in the area for the services I get. Last time I noticed that they do false eyelashes as well as the other typical services. I was a loyal customer until yesterday when they removed tips from my Mother's fingers, and ripped her nail off half of her pinky nail bed which caused significant bleeding. They finally stopped the bleeding, and completed the process. (We has no choice because she was halfway through the process). After I alerted the manager, I was assured that "it would be taken care of before we left." Given the horribleness of the experience, I expected that her visit would be comp'ed but it was not. He was only willing to take $5 off. For me, this was about principle and good customer service. The proper response would have been to refund the price of her service which had been paid before the incident. This for them, however, was about losing money. They were more concerned with $45 than apologizing for their egregious error. This is not the first time that I have felt that Lush Nail Salon was there only to make money in our community where women enjoy some pampering but now I am convinced. Smh... this isn't the worst part of it, my pedi actually looked like this the DAY AFTER my pedi, but I MADE them repaint them. This looks really nice with new, clean & modern equipment (i.e. spa chairs). However, besides the slick appearance, it's not really any better service-wise than any of the other salons in the area. It's way too over-priced for the services they provide. They charge $36 for an SNS manicure vs. the $25 LV Nails charges up the street. They do serve wine, but it's cheap & they literally give you a serving so small, it's not even worth it. Another bad gimmick to try and get you to pay their exorbitant prices! The serving given to me was gone in 3 sips if that helps give you an idea of their serving size. The staff is friendly & courteous but I'm not paying those kinds of prices for just average service. The staff person got very upset because I decided not to get a service that was more expensive. He was throwing my hand around like he didn't even want to do it and got really aggressive when he told me to pay. I kept telling him a specific nail didn't look right (it was lopsided) and he was basically throwing my hand back at me. One nail messed up after I went to dry them and when I went back to fix it, he was discussing the nail mess up so much that all of his coworkers were staring at me. He was a younger looking guy, with short hair and an earring in his left ear. His station is a row away from the eyebrow room. Recently relocated to the camp creek area and I've come here about 3 times now in search of a new nail tech. Ame each time is worse than before. I recently got my nails done for my birthday on Friday, by Sunday one of the nails broke, came to get it fixed they charged me $8 and said it's because it was a fill in and not a full set, even though they had previously did the full set. Fine I pay, they fix it. Literally by TUESDAY another nail broke. Thats two nails in less than a week, RIDICULOU! I came and saw the manager, he says come back on Wednesday and Jaden will fix it for free. Cool i come back, jaden is finishing up a full set, I wait patiently. Afterwards I'm expecting him to fix my ONE nail. NOOO he proceeds to start a whole ass pedicure before doing the one nail repair. I really wish that I had looked at the reviews before going to the Lush Nail Bar on Camp Creek. The guy who did my nails was very persistent on trying to up-charge me for services. If you do decide to come here be very aware of that. Looking at the reviews after the fact, many people have mentioned this very same issue. Basically just to get acrylic with no shape and a nub size length is $23 and then they tact on $5 extra for anything more than that. As seen in the picture, my nails are coffin (which I requested) so I was fine with paying the extra $5 for that, but my nail technician insisted that my nails were "long" in length which as you can clearly see in the photo that my nails are extremely short. He then had the audacity to say "for only $10 more I can do gel polish." No sir! In total I paid $33 for a very basic set of nails with regular polish, I'll pass. Overall, the paint job itself was moderate. Even strokes and all of the edges were painted so that's the ONLY thing I can really commend them for doing. That alone is why I gave them 3 stars because taking advantage of customers by making unnecessary increases in price for a service is ill-mannered and tacky for a lack of better words. I wouldn't go back even if I had a Groupon because I am personally very big on businesses that demonstrate integrity and respect. In my opinion, there are nail salons with much more reasonable prices and nail technicians who are just as good, such as Top Ten Nails which is also located in Camp Creek. read more
