My visit to lush was some of the worst customer service i've ever received in my life. I walked into an empty store with two employees who were whispering by the register while I was browsing. I was not greeted upon walking in and started comparing smells with my partner when someone finally approached me. He gave the weidest vibe and when I explained I had never really been to Lush before and was interested in a few, it's like his brain wasn't processing the conversation because all he was doing was was smiling and nodding. He eventually passed me on to another girl who again it's like she wasn't understanding what I was saying. Stopped at the mall today to shop for an occasion, and on my way out I stopped into Lush, where me and Barb had a wonderful time chatting! The atmosphere was very nice and inviting and Barb was very friendly, providing a very nice hand warming massage on this chilly night! I had a gift card to use at Lush so we stopped in for a quick round of sniffing everything, haha. I finally decided on a lemongrass scented bubble bar and my friend went with some Lotus soap. This is definitely not a store I normally or ever have really ventured into; however, I was very pleasantly surprised. ATMOSPHERE/ARCHITECTURE: 9/10 Definitely a "hippy dippy" place that touts its message of anti-animal cruelty and testing with its handmade products that even come stamped with a sticker of a caricature of whomever made that particular item. Never in a million years would I have thought that I needed such a thing. Like, ever. I would never, ever, think that I'd have needed anything here. And yet, the cohesiveness of the products, mission and store in general just came together very well. I was quite impressed. The store is filled with aromas emanating from the handmade soaps, bath bath bombs, shampoo and whatever there may be there. It has its own atmosphere and a certain life to it. It is not grandiose, actually rather humble in its shelving and lighting, but you know what? It was amazing. I am not the demographic for their products. At least probably not the target demographic, but nevertheless, I was impressed and for some reason, wanted to buy and try so many random things here. SERVICE: 10/10 Service was impeccable. The staff was every bit knowledgeable, kind and approachable as could be. All questions were answered and I felt very welcome. VALUE: 7/10 The items are honestly on the expensive side for what they are, whether it be the lip balm, bath bombs, etc. However, if they are true to their mission, I suppose I can see the rationale for this larger cost. ** Review during COVID times ** 9/18/20 - I was the first customer to shop in store for the first time since everything shut down. They were previously offering curbside pickup, but today is the first day that customers could step into the store. They explain to you that you have to leave your mask off which was kind of redundant and unnecessary since that has been the way of life for several months now. They do ask that you wash your hands!! AWESOME! I am down for that plus you are washing with lush soap so yes please, they have a ton of sinks so they can pull this off. I don't know how many customers they are allowing. I was the only one in the store with a stroller and they asked another mom to wait a few min until I left before they let her in. If they maintain about a 1-2 customer limit, expect a LONG line and wait to get in. Their store hours are not like the mall hours. Mall opens at 10, Lush opens at 11. They pre-packaged a lot of their goods like bath bombs, bars etc. It makes it pretty easy. It's also a lot easier if you know what you want. You can them, and they will get it for you and ring you up via a personal checkout contraption so you don't have to go all the way to the back of the store to check out. All in all, awesome experience for me, I knew what I wanted, my 5 year old grabbed a few bath bombs, from entering to check out we were only there for about 10 min. read more

My Bestie introduced me to Lush a few years ago. I haven't been the same since that day. I absolutely Love the different variety of the bomb baths. Each one is filled with amazing scents, essential oils and a hidden bit of surprises in each one. Lush handmade costmetics are natural and good for sensitive skin. You can even purchase hair and face mask and other natural products. The body scrubs even work wonders on the skin. The employee's are super cool and always around throughout the store to assistance you with any questions that you my have about the products. The prices are ok its all in what your willing to pay for each items. The only issue that I had on today was there were 5 employees standing behind the counter talking. Me and other lady were the only 2 customers waiting to be checked out. One girl turns around looks at us and turns back around to chatter box away. BATH SALTS This cosmetics chain offers tons of all-natural products for the body, although I wouldn't recommend smoking any of them. I've only experienced Lush products from a buyer standpoint, but never as direct user (except for that one time in band camp). I wanted to surprise my cousin's wife with an early birthday present, because family. Nice things are nice, and the quality of goods at Lush retailers speaks for itself. A staff member greeted me right away and helped me pick out a modest $40 gift set with floral tones, which included a shower gel, body scrub, bath bomb, and moisturizer. It was packaged all spiffy with a bow and whatnot, which saved me from having to wrap it myself. That same person also did a quick 'demo' on me, cementing the idea in my head that heterosexual men can also enjoy their various lotions and skin creams. A lot of the smells seemed earthy (not a fan) and when I mentioned that watery/fresh scents were preferred, there didn't appear to be much for me. If your olfactory system is as finely-tuned as mine, you'll be overwhelmed by all the stuff going on. Some are pleasant -- others quite honestly smell like dirt (ew) -- but customer service is great and the gift sets are lovely. P.S: 70% of items in here look like massive chunks of maple / chocolate mint fudge. Do not eat them, they are not tasty. I learned the hard way (ooh! free samples!!) Straight guy seal of approval. Lush USED to be my go-to for pampering products, but they stopped carrying the fragrances I loved that literally kept me coming back time and time again. Pop in the bath bubble bar, and Lava Lamp bath bombs. These were spectacular fragrances. th Pop in the bath fragrance could not be duplicated anywhere else and they stopped carrying it. So unfortunately I am pretty sure I've struck Lush off of my go-to list! What they do have going for them are great hand made, all natural products that are safe and hypoallergenic (I believe). I am usually very sensitive to fragrances and scented body products and can not normally tolerate many products at all. But I have never had any problems with Lush products and they always leave me feeling luxurious and silky and, yes, LUSH! The staff is almost TOO friendly, if that could be a thing, but they are really focused on finding you great products you will love, not JUST getting you to spend money. I am pretty sure they are not commission based and they do not push you to buy, just TRY. They do cool in store demos of their products and you can get a sample of just about anything that can be broken off or dolloped out. Bring back my flavors and I'll be back! read more

I've been to over a dozen Lush Stores and this one is by far my favorite! The employees were extremely welcoming and friendly. The customer service was definitely top notch! This is one of the larger store fronts Lush has with lots of inventory. If they're sold out in store they can ship it to you for free using their new "endless aisle" program. I stopped by looking to purchase some lip balm for my husband's daughter. They are not allowing customers in store, but they are being super accommodating. A young woman assisted me by bringing over every lip balm they had and also informed me of their lip scrubs. I explained that it was for a 3 year old, which narrowed my options for lip balm to: Rose Lollipop and Bubblegum. I settled for Rose Lollipop. It smells amazing! I was at the Oakbrook Mall and decided to go into Lush immediately when I walked to the door I was greeted and felt very welcomed. The Person who helped me name was Sam and let me say he knows skin care. He helped me find the best skin care product and he had such an amazing attitude and was so very helpful. He even let me go home with some free samples. Through it all, it was a very good experience and I definitely will be back. I will take that drive for some nice customer service. Associate Zoe took her time and was able to explain everything to me. She thoroughly analyzed the type of product I was looking for and gave me great recommendations. I ended up purchasing "Honey I washed my Hair" shampoo bar for $10.95 plus tax. Zoe was kind enough to give me additional samples of "Avocado Co-Wash," "Veganese." This is a great location. Expanded it about a year or so ago which has helped a ton for crowd control. It used to get bumpy in there. I always find staff really knowledgeable and kind. Was pulled in because if super trendy bath bombs but now don't even purchase- too much $ for a fizz. (FYI you can cut them if too big just be careful) A few of my favs are the bubble bath bombs, face masks, and pumice foot stone scrub. 4 stars because after 10 mins I can't breath in the store. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience at any lush store I've been to. Especially this one. Of course the staff is trained very heavily to give each customer a wonderful experience but this lush is my absolute favorite one. The ladies here are so sweet. I am only now discovering my love of Lush products! My daughter got me to try her masks, and when I needed a new face moisturizer, I decided to go to the store a find one there. I am now obsessed! The Shangri La moisturizer is perfect after the Breath of Fresh Aor toner. And the in-shower moisture barrier (carrot) is so delightful! We also use the mask of magnamity and Just to Clarify mask. I love Lush! I was introduced to Lush while I was visiting D.C. and was so happy to know there are several stores in the Chicagoland area! Now while they have multiple skin care items, body gels, lotions, facial scrubs and moisturizers, etc., etc......I go for the bath bombs and bath oils! While this place is not cheap, it's worth every freaking penny! This location seemed smaller compared to their other locations but I could be wrong. I started coming to this Lush when it was in the Macy's and it got me hooked. They recently moved next to the Bose store in the center of the mall and it has ample room. They even have a demo station with chairs and a sink. I came here looking for the perfect face wash for my boyfriend and I left with, "let the good times roll." It was great and so was the staff. I LOVE this Lush location! The size is wonderful. You can actually walk around or admire and test out a product without feeling like you're in 10 peoples' ways. So this review is because my girlfriend went and was treated fantastically. She went today while I was at work and hasn't stopped talking about how much she enjoyed her visit! First she went to Sephora and was mostly ignored, checked out and headed to Lush. Vicky politely approached her and helped her with everything she was looking for. Vicky (this is for you managers) did upsell my girlfriend on a few things that she wasn't looking for, HOWEVER, she has zero buyers remorse from, because they were items she was interested in. I love the smell of this store and what keeps me coming back is the Dream Cream and Buffy bar. It's super expensive. I never see a sale but they do offer a recycling program where you bring back 5 clean pods w/logo and get a face mask. $10 for a normal size bar of soap is absurd, but it is my treat and it smells heavenly. Employees are friendly and will help you test products. Word of advice though, don't call your customers "sweetie" or "honey". It's annoying and I cringe if someone other than my grandfather calls me that. Also, if you're clearly younger than the shopper, don't even think about using those words to address your consumer. I'm glad they expanded as the new space wasn't bigger than their old one in Macys, just a different flow. Hopefully this helps on crowded days. Ask for samples..... I sometimes am talked into purchasing products then end up returning them because they're not for me. High five for their products not being tested on animals and having many vegan options. I think that I wouldn't have a problem buying more items from here for the prices if they weren't using artificial ingredients or chemicals like SLS. read more

First let me say how much I love Lush. Second I'm so glad you have a bigger store! I visited the mall in June and it was closed for the remodel. It was worth the wait! I wasn't greeted as soon as I walked in but I was shortly thereafter. I was on a mission so I wasn't put off by it. I did my research online and found the specific products I was interested in. I made a list and took off. Cheyenne approached me to ask if I needed help. She greeted me with a genuine smile. I only needed help with one major thing. I needed someone to hold my basket while I wrapped up all the bath bombs I came to buy. I said it with a corny grin and made it sound like a joke but I was secretly praying she would take me up on it! She agreed and I felt like I made a new best friend. She patiently held my basket and carried on a great conversation while I wrapped up bath bombs, bubble bars and other items to stock up! Let's say it took me 20 minutes to check out but it was only because I had so much stuff!!! Overall everyone was amazing but a huge shoutout to Cheyenne. This Lush is crazy! By far the biggest Lush I've ever been to. They were staffed accordingly to accommodate such high volume on the sales floor. Although the store was packed I was able to find 2 girls to help me navigate my way through Lush amazing-ness. When it was time to check out the line was insane it wrapped around near the door, this was on a Saturday. They only had 2 cashiers, and could have used one more, they could have pulled one of the girls from the sales floor to get everyone out faster..but Im sure they'd rather push sales harder. I was told this is normal for a Saturday for this location, it would probably be more relaxing to visit here during the weekdays when theres more room to walk around the store and not wait in line forever. read more

I knew that I wanted the Lush Dirty Body Spray, and a sales associate quickly found it for me, and offered suggestions on what products might work well with it (there's a entire line of Dirty products). Lush is not just for women, in case you're unaware. The variety of products is remarkable, and their dedication to using natural ingredients is one which I really support. Reuben was the absolute best! Went there two weeks ago on saturday with my girlfriend and we couldnt be happier. He took the time to explain everything without being pushy at all. We've been to other places and its usually either an atmosphere of used car salesmen or a total lack of service. Not here.... here we were totally taken care of and felt comfortable the entire time. So much scents, and it's not overpowering like Bath and Body Works (I always get a headache when I visit that store). Anyway, Lush is so trendy right now. Their fresh face masks are the main thing I make a beeline for when I go into the store. Seriously, check it out! Also, I got their lip exfoliation pot. Basically it's edible. Just apply on your lips, scrub a dub dub, and lick it off. *beware, that stuff is addicting and I ate half the container in a week.* Also, keep the containers because once you have 5 empty ones, you can bring them back for a free fresh face mask!
