We went to Mihana in May 2026 (we hadn't been here since it was Matsuyama). This experience was a great one. We came after a graduation so they were pretty busy and we were seated promptly and had about 9 people in our party. There is music playing so the atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. Someone in our party had ordered bento boxes and miso soups and hot saki. He also ordered some volcano rolls and California rolls. We received waters and that food almost immediately. I opted to order the Fire dragon roll and my wife got the large dragon. She liked her roll and said it was really good. I need to comment that the fire dragon was a lot more spicy than I expected it to be. It has jalapeños and fire sauces and it really has a kick. So if you aren't wanting that, maybe skip that roll. I loved it though! All in all, still really impressed with this place, I'm glad to see it's the same experience that I remember. We've been here several times and the food is always really good. I usually order the chicken katsu with tempura vegetables and it never disappoints. Their salad is fresh, the rolls are good, and overall the quality of the food is consistently solid. The only downside for me is the pacing of the service. Everything comes out very quickly we barely finish the soup before the appetizers arrive, and then the main dishes come out before we're done with the appetizers. It makes the meal feel a little rushed instead of relaxed. Other than that, the food is always good. I'm just personally not a big fan of their miso soup. read more

I absolutely love this restaurant. My sister and I order from here all the time, but we decided to dine in for her birthday. As always, we enjoyed all of the sushi we ordered, along with the gyoza and edamame. The only downside was that the gyoza came out slightly cold. We didn't mention it during our visit--we were hungry and kept eating--but it was disappointing since we've never had that issue before, whether ordering pickup or through DoorDash. I ordered the bento box with beef teriyaki, california roll and croquette (fried potatoes) Everything was good including the california roll (better than last time I was here). Definitely the best place in Manteca for sushi rolls. The restaurant clean and the food came out pretty quick. Service is ok. There was an incident with one of my orders but the person there compensated me by charging me half off for the dish that I had an issue with. We got the Golden Dragon Roll, Quail Roll, Lion Roll, Udon, and Tempura bento box. All 3 rolls were really good but the Quail roll was the best. We also ordered the udon. The udon was bland. Wouldn't order that again. The tempura was fried perfect. Not soggy at all and the flavor was good. Overall my experience was good. This place is terrific. Food is good and reasonably priced. The staff is amazing and very kind. We had dinner at Mihana several times in the same week and over the course of several weeks. My sister-in-law was in hospice and this was close and we always enjoyed Mihana when we lived in Manteca. I'm sure the team at Mihana had no idea what we were going through, but they were so kind under very difficult circumstances. Great place to satisfy your sushi craving. Ordered the Manteca and Mihana rolls. Both pretty similar in rolls but very tasty and very filling. Enjoyed them both very much. The chicken katsu was juicy and flavorful, rarely have a had chicken katsu like this anywhere else. Service was fast and always asking if we needed anything else. Only thing I wasn't crazy about was that since it was late and pretty empty, I did feel like they were hovering over us waiting for us to finish. I dropped in for lunch on a weekday and wanted a bento box soooo bad. It is super difficult to find decent food in Manteca, it's just a wasteland! The store is clean and well maintained, and I was greeted at the door quickly. Their menu is decent sized for sushi offerings, but I was here for the bento lunch. You do get a good amount of food for the price. My Cal roll was a little on the messy (not tight) side and basically would fall apart when attempting to eat each piece. The chicken teriyaki was not marinated, just cooked and then the sauce was drizzled over the top, so the chicken ends up dry. Tempura was good! Overall, I say the food (bento that is) is just ok. Again, Manteca is such a wasteland for good dining, that I can see where this restaurant is popular. read more

The beef teriyaki was a bit tough and the fried shrimp was more like from the frozen food freezer at Safeway then proper tempura shrimp. I think there were only like 2-3 options in Manteca so glad was able to check out this place. Small restaurant but was able to grab a table during Father's Day weekend. I more than likely wouldn't go again, wish my chicken was a little bit more flavorful , the spicy edamame could have been cooked for a little bit longer and my daughter didn't like the CA roll. Finally was able to try this place out. We decided to have dinner here on 6/7/24. Boyfriend and I ordered the bento combination. The bento box here is $19.95 and you get to select three items. My boyfriend went for the beef teriyaki, California roll and tempura. I went for the salmon teriyaki, beef teriyaki and tempura. Portions here seem ok. For the salmon teriyaki they only gave 1 piece while other restaurants give you two. We both agreed that the beef teriyaki was not tender and it was hard to chew. This was a pleasant surprise we stopped by for a quick lunch and I loved that I was able to take leftovers home because I was craving it again afterwards. All the rolls we ordered were yummy and so was the bento box. We actually ordered too much which I think says a lot because the portions were generous. We ordered two appetizers, the gyoza and fried jalapeños. The gyoza was great, I think it had 5-6 pieces. The fried jalapeño was not that great and wouldn't really recommend it. The sushi itself was pretty good, the dragon role was the only meh one but overall the experience at the place was good. Only thing confusing to me was the interior design. At some point this was probably a Hawaiian restaurant with surf boards and bamboo decor, they never upgraded it. So it's kind of comical. read more
