The service here is beginning to go downhill. I came here to get a simple french tip acrylic pedicure and it turned out to be the absolute WORST pedicure I've ever received along with the most uncomfortable customer service. DO NOT GO TO WENDY FOR YOUR PEDICURES OR ANYTHING FOR THAT MATTER. She rushed the entire set and refused to properly shape my pedicure after I politely asked time and time again throughout the duration of the service. I showed her a picture of the exact set that I wanted and emphasized that I wanted a square look and she completely disregarded my request and never gave me a French tip or a proper shape whatsoever. I found out that this atrocious set came to $73 and I was completely livid. I brought it to the attention of the cashier that it's not the set that I asked for but I'm not confrontational so I tried to let it slide until I found out how much she was trying to charge me! So the cashier took me back to Wendy to correct my set and she did an even more terrible job ON TOP of the terrible job she had already done. The French tip was rushed and completely crooked, I couldn't believe it. To top it off, she kept getting more and more impatient and I heard her say "Oh my God" under her breath after I POLITELY told her to please remove the crooked French tip because it only made it look even more ridiculous. Been coming to this location about 5-6 times already, and I usually already know to wait for about an 1 to get my nails done here. BUT that wasn't the case this time around, I got there a little bit after 2 and was told it was going to be an 1 hour wait but I ask for Rachel chair #10 I absolutely LOVE how she does my nails 10/10 but I didn't get seated with her until 6:10PM remind you I wrote my name down at 2pm. Personally I understand I asked for a girl knowing she had a person before me waiting for her but I was told it would be a 1 hour wait for her. The communication here is horrible atleast with the girl that signs people in. She could've told me how long I was going to really wait instead of lying or simply just not knowing. The girl before me did have a much crazier nail design and length than me. I was just going for a acrylic overlay which only took an 1 hour for her to do. So I just am pretty bummed how long I waited, and only got an apology once they realized I was the only and last person waiting to get her nails done. But overall my nails came out amazing as usual with Rachel. Just be prepared and constantly ask questions once you are waiting over 1 hour. Okay, I have a mix feeling about this place so they were super quick on seating me we did come at 6:40 and they did close at 7:30 the attendant said it was fine she is super nice. I was seated but they took forever to attend me enough for the water to get cold. I requested thier deluxe pedicure that included a feet mask scrub and massage that mind you was supposed to take like 5 min and she only did it for a min. I also requested a calluses remover scrub in which the women did awesome in but didn't change my water before doing my leg and feet scrub and use that same water to wash off my legs and feet which is supposed to be fresh new water. My boyfriend still tip her 18% of a 60$ tab just wish that if they were in a hurry they didn't take Costumer so they can do the full service. read more

They charge $5 if you want a top coat!!! DO NOT GO the young guy with the receading hairline! His work is crap! I went in for dip powder, and he put a shit load of dip powder on my nail. i didn't say anything I sat back and let him do his job. I can see towards the tip of my nails on the side that the dip powder is not covering my whole nail. I tell him hey this side needs more powder, he tells me no hes going to file it when he shapes it. I knew that was a mistake, but i wanted to see where this was going. He sands it down a little bit and asked me if I liked it I asked are you done? He said no but asked if I liked it I said no. They are way too thick and he had an attitude like I'm being picky. He sands down my nails and instead on sanding from the top he sands off the acrylic from the bottom of my nails! and one side is waaay too thin than the other and when i tell him about it, he said its what i wanted i said yes but they are uneven. I said they are too thick and I'd like them sand down. I go to pay and hes talking in his language telling the girl something. Insaid how much she said $50. I said $50?! For dip powder she looks at him and he comes back and said we charge $5 for matte !!! Wtf!!! Let's just say I will never go there again. read more

Ive always went to there first location in paramount and absolutely loved it. I even got some family members to start going whenever they came down to visit. My sister and mother would go just to have a nice nail day. So when they opened up a new location closer to home (bellflower) i was so excited. I got a pedi and full set done. Pedicure was amazing the only complaint i have on my pedicure was the lady used the callus remover between my toes, uncomfortable. But overall the neck pillow & pedi was good. Now i get to my full set , i got a fairly young lady. I wont say names , but she was drinkin a large ice coffee and would take sips occasionally. She said she needed it cause it was going to be a long day. I understood cause im a coffee lover to and definitely use it to keep me going. Eventually, the lady told me to get off my phone because i was "shaking to much" and she couldnt do the designs right. For a second i thought ive been getting my nails done for years i know i wasnt moving and if i was i know it wasnt something crazy, and am always courteous about moving alot cause i could imagine how annoying that gets. But mind you she was drinking a large ice coffee that she said she needed to get through the day. So i can imagine it was strong enough to cause her to get lil shakes in her hand. Just an overall horrible experience! $100 for a fill?! I got my full set here and it was $80, the woman at station 10 did a great job. This was my second time here, came to get a fill and 3 nail repairs, I was in there for 3 hours! Couldn't even get a pedicure. The woman they had do my nails did NOT know what she was doing, she put the acrylic on poorly and uneven, and then could not shape them to match the rest of my nails. I had to ask her multiple times to shape them correctly because they were uneven and lumpy, and she did not see the issue with that. She kept trying to say they were fine. Another man came over after 2 hours and filed them correctly. They then tried to charge me almost $100 for a fill after they messed up my nails and had me in there for hours. I really wanted to like this place. I got there on a late Sunday afternoon, waited 2 hours for a manicure/pedicure. I thought the pedicure was perfect. My toes look super cute, that being said. She did gel without asking me and when she started to cute the first coat I said I don't want gel I want regular polish and she said we'll have to charge you extra. So I said fine finish the pedicure. I finished my pedicure and was taken for my mani. When I left it looked fine but as soon as the cuticle oil dried my cuticles looked choppy and they looked like I took clippers to them and my polish peeled after a few days. this set isn't even 2 weeks old. i got this set on june 1st. i hope they train their technicians more because the technique is not there. having a gel-X nail come clean off is so rare and gel-X is so difficult to take off. if technique is good then this shouldn't happen. you can see the build up of all the cuticles he didn't remove. $50 for this. read more

My fiance and I couldn't get in to our regular salon for pedicures today so we took a chance and came to Luv. We called ahead and we were placed on a waiting list. We got to the salon about 35 minutes later and probably waited another 35 minutes before it was our turn. Keep in mind this was on a Sunday morning and you will wait at any salon worth their salt so I did not mind the wait, especially since the entire salon is gorgeous! Open and elegant decor, a coffee bar, chilled water and treats. They do nails, lashes, permanent makeup, brows, you name it. Now for the good part. We were brought into the pedicure area where there were 2 partitioned rooms with 6 chairs in each. The chairs are very nicely cared for, and very comfortable. The massage options are like most chairs. We were give a service menu and color wheels. Pedicures there are IMO very reasonable for the level of care you receive. We went with the signature pedi which is one step up from the express pedi. I believe there are 4 packages as well as add ons but we didn't have much time to spend there so...... we were greeted by very nice technicians and the pampering began. I have had many pedicures in my day and I have to say that the pedicure I received this past Sunday was by far the most relaxing, comfortable, pain free I have ever received. I really felt pampered. I left feeling amazing and I will definitely be a regular there from now on. I highly recommend you call ahead and show up early. They are so worth the wait! Don't get discouraged. But I paid $93 for a acrylic pedicure that took 3 hours to complete, got cut 3 times and 3 days later the acrylic is already coming off.
