I can't believe it's taken me this long to right a review for my favorite nail salon in OC. I've been coming to Luv Nails for years and I can't express how much I love this business and their work. I have a nail biting problem so come frequently and they take care of me so well. The facility is clean and relaxing. Hannah the owner does an incredible job. She is very welcoming and makes everyone who walks in feel like family. She works very hard to ensure all her clients are happy. The nail technicians are talented, patient and so kind. Over the years I have loved working with Mia. She is very skilled and pays close attention to detail. Everyone I refer to Luv Nails returns again and again. I am so thankful for the Luv Nails staff. I am so unhappy with my dip manicure from this salon. The normal pedicure was great - she paid attention to detail, was sweet and did a beautiful job. However, my dip manicure is awful. I wish I had not gone here and wasted my money. The man who did my nails cut me multiple times, left a weird glue-like residue all over my fingers, didn't do the same amount of coats on each nail, and didn't even file my nails correctly. He was unwelcoming and rude when I couldn't find a color I liked. I am so disappointed and feel completely robbed. The whole point of having your nails done is to feel confident, whereas now I feel self conscious and my nails hurt from the cuts. UPDATE: Less than a week after this dip manicure from hell and it gets worse and worse. The dip has cracked and is peeling on the edges. Also, the polish they used has turned a gross looking yellowish color on the edges. I cannot express how disappointing and what a waste of money this dip manicure was and continues to be. read more

I came here because it popped up on my Instagram so I thought why not give it a try! I haven't done my nails in a while so I was pretty excited! I went with 2 other family members! We were having an okay experience. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst. I think they can definitely improve on Customer Service like make the place feel a little more welcoming. You are not going to find someone who is pickier than I am when it comes to my nails because I am licensed and so I am hyper critical and have very high expectations. This is hands-down the best nail salon in Orange County and I have been to them all. If I know the design I want might take longer I let them know in advance and so they book a longer appointment for me. I know it can be frustrating if you have to wait for the person before you to be finished, but that isn't the salon's fault the person did not make an appropriate appointment for their design. I have never once been asked for a specific payment type, they accept literally every form of payment, tap, chip, digital, it could not be easier. The pricing is consistent. I do the same thing every time I come and it's always the exact same price, unless I can't make up my mind on a color and they have to paint and remove more than one time. I expect to be charged a few dollars extra for the product that gets used while I'm trying to make my mind up and I don't think that is inappropriate in anyway. The owner is extremely sociable, very kind, and makes me feel very comfortable. I have also been in the salon getting my nails done when there has been a difficult customer, and everyone goes above and beyond to try to satisfy them and they are courteous about it. I recommend this salon for its cleanliness, it's overall experience, it's affordable pricing, and how easy it is to make my appointments or change my appointments. I can't even text for an appt instead of call and that helps me tremendously. I'm a difficult customer to please, And I am always happy when I leave here. read more

I expressed that I had asked for a certain request 3 times already. If I'm asking that many times you didn't perform as desired the first two times. Don't try to talk me out of what I want or like. If I inquire about other products, elaborate in your explanation, you might recruit a new customer based on what you can offer and your customer is aware you can do. My husband, daughter and I went there for mani pedi with prior appointment. While we were there getting it done, many walk ins came and being low on staff they were asked to wait. But then they left us hanging and started serving the walk ins so they don't walk away. On asking to complete our job the lady got very rude and cancelled my daughters mani appointment and left my husband's many in the middle and rudely told him she can't finish it and so won't charge him for the unfinished part. It's hit and miss with Luv Nails and Spa. I had excellent manicures here that kept me coming back. Then had a bad manicure where the manicurist made me bleed in three places from trimming the cuticle back too far. I went back for one manicure after that and the manicurist used the removal tool for too long and damaged my nails. They were burning when doing the gel cure and they hurt for a week after that. That scared me enough to keep me away for a long time. The most recent time I went back because I had a performance coming up for dance and was hoping to get one of those great manicures again. I asked for dip powder and went to the salon on 1/4/23. When I was putting on my tights THREE DAYS LATER (1/7/23), my dip manicure on my middle finger POPPED OFF. It was on my real nail, so I was in complete shock. I had to super glue the nail back on for my performance. I'm not doing anything unorthodox with my hands but my other nails have started to chip off. I'm really disappointed and don't think I'll be going back after I get them fixed. read more

THE WORST PLACE EVER!!! I went to get my nails done for a wedding, I noticed the toes color didn't match my manicure. I tried to tell my manicurist and she insisted they looked the same. I came back home, and asked my neighbor, who told me.....you need to go back, not only your nails aren't matching, but they did a pretty awful job on the gel manicure. I went back and the ''owner" or manager treated me like garbage, yelled at me and humiliated in front of customers, at the point, another sweet customer even asked Hanna to pay for my service. This isn't about the money, but about a good service, I'm not a difficult person, I'm actually extremely kind and compassionate, I left a tip, I was nice, and I'm a regular at this establishment. This is unacceptable, perhaps why don't you talk to people with a little more empathy, and hire more qualified girls, who actually speak English and understand the customer needs. read more

I highly recommend this place for both gel X manicures and pedicures! This is my go-to nail salon and they are great especially when it comes to French tip nails and have a wide color selection. Mia and Van are the best for gel X and I've had pedicures from multiple people who are also great. They have an online booking option that I like to utilize. You can request a specific nail technician and are able to see which times and days they are available. If you come here one time to try them out, you'll find yourself coming back every month just like me! They are consistent, sweet & high quality. read more

The mail techs aren't very friendly. I asked for a gel manicure and the nail tech got mad because I asked her to file my nails a little more. There is nail color left from the previous gel manicure i had. I had to ask for oil around my cuticles and a little bit of lotion. read more
