Super happy I came here for a sandwich. They have some really interesting options for a sandwich and a pickey pete sandwich (create your own) if your looking for something vanilla. One of the most delicious sandwiches I have EVER had is The Latina. They have many more amazing sandwiches but I am currently stuck on The Latina. Think about it...a Carne Asada stuffed Jalepeno inside this sandwich, among many other amazing ingregients...with a side of their home-made Chipotle sauce....is a MUST have. Where has this sandwich been all my life? I have not been here after 2 pm, but after 2 pm they switch from sandwiches to pizzas. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous--one sandwich is enough to satisfy two people with moderate appetites. They cut the sandwich in half, wrapping each piece individually in paper before wrapping both halves together in a larger sheet. It's a convenient and hygienic way to share with someone else. The place was clean and the portions are big, the cashier at the front wasn't friendly or welcoming, there was lots of options of sandwiches wraps and salads I ordered a turkey sandwich and it was by far the most saltiest turkey i have ever tasted and I love salty food but this way over powering, I might go again and order something different but just a warning the turkey is extremely salty. read more

Great deli in Orcutt. A few things to know before you go. They are located in Ricky's House of Pizza so know you aren't looking for a stand along business. Everything is made fresh so prepare to either call ahead if you are in a hurry or enjoy the wait. You have the option to sit or take your food to go. I really wanted to like this place more, but I only had an okay experience. My husband and I came in on a Saturday around lunch time. We were on a long drive and wanted something quick and easy so a deli sandwich sounded great. The young woman behind the counter seemed really new; when I asked for a custom sandwich - turkey and swiss, sure struggled at the register for a while before another woman (the business owner?) came up to her and told her they didn't have swiss cheese. I changed my cheese selection and ordered a custom turkey, provolone, lettuce and pickles. My husband ordered the OG (pastrami) sandwich. When she asked if we wanted anything to drink, we asked about coke zero. She looked confused, so I pointed to the 4-foot tall sign standing just next to me, in front of the counter, that said, "we sell Coke Zero." She said, oh, we have it in 2- litter bottles. We just wanted something normal size, so we wrapped up the purchase with only the 2 sandwiches. Then she told me it would be a 20-25 minute wait. I was frustrated because we had a long drive and wanted to get back on the road quickly. If i had known it would take a while from the start I might have opted to go elsewhere instead, but I'd already paid so we waited around. They had a lot of to-go orders ahead of us, and not just sandwiches, but also pizzas. Anyway, the good news was our order was ready closer to 15-20 minutes. The cashier estimated the time well. My sandwich (on a roll) was extremely narrow and tall. A bit hard to eat. But generous with fresh ingredients. The pickles on both our sandwiches were bread & butter pickles... what deli doesn't have swiss cheese or dill pickles?? The turkey was mesquite smoked (not my favorite), so overall the sandwich was not super enjoyable to me, even though the ingredients were all high quality. My recommendation is, if you are going to make custom sandwiches (this place has a custom sandwich option called Picky Pete on their menu) then please please also post a list of what ingredients you have, so that customers can make informed decisions. At this point I'm not expecting to return, but if you like their pre-designed sandwich ideas, for sure give them a go. read more

I had the Italiano sandwich. It was delicious and a good size. I tried to only eat half of it and save the rest for later but that didn't work. The Deli opens at 10:30 but the pizza part (Ricky's) doesn't open until 3 pm or 3:30. Service is walk up counter ordering. There are a few tables. Ambience is basic deli style. I hope they last. It's hard to find good deli in Orcutt. I'm still looking for good Indian food if anyone knows someone looking to set up read more

I will start out by saying the food was OK. Their online ordering and customer service leaves much to be desired. I ordered online and they ask you to enter a numeric code to confirm the order. I realized I entered the wrong phone number so I could never confirm with the numeric code. I re-entered my information with the correct phone number and confirmed with the correct confirmation code. When I picked up the order, they had two orders ready for me. I explained the situation and they informed me that I had to take it up with DoorDash. It is tuff to speak to someone at DoorDash. Their manager called me back and said the same thing, talk to DoorDash. This is unfortunate. I will never go there again and I will not recommend this place to anyone. First time eating here, I grew up in Santa Maria, but then I went into the USMC and moved away . I'm leaving this on my wife's yelp page . My Father recently passed away and I moved back into his house . I usually eat at Jersey mikes but my wife wanted to try some place new . We were in the area so we tried Luvie's Deli . I went in and asked the girl at the counter about the club sandwich if I could get all Turkey and no ham she said yes . I asked if for that price which is pricey for a sub sandwich is it a pretty good size sub sandwich and she said you won't be disappointed. I said great so I ordered the club sub all Turkey and an Italian sub . We ate outside at the table in front . They brought the sandwiches out . I went to my truck and came back and my wife was like this is a reg sandwich on white bread . I wanted a sub deli sandwich on a roll . He said I thought it was on a roll . I opened mine up and it was also on reg bread . I went inside and asked the girl don't you have sub rolls and she said yes , you didn't specify what kind of bread you wanted . I was like no you didn't ask me what kind of bread I wanted ? I thought it came on a deli roll . If I had a choice of bread she could have asked me . What kind of bread would you like, we have these choices ? The girl didn't say anything . I went to sit outside to eat , my wife said don't worry I will eat it on the bread she made it on . The sandwich was a mess . She picked up one half of the sandwich and it was falling apart because there was so much Mayo and lettuce on the sandwich the bread was already soggy from all the mayo and lettuce it was falling apart . My wife asked me if I could go back in and just buy a roll and I will transfer everything over myself . I can't eat this one it's falling apart . So I went back in and asked for a roll my wife is not happy with the sandwich's it's falling apart. The manger was not very friendly or concerned about my wife's sandwich if she was a good business owner she could have offered to remake my wife's sandwich and put it on a sub roll like she wanted it . She just said I will do it this time and she handed me a deli roll and said I won't charger you for it this time she didn't cut it for me or nothing . My wife just ripped the roll in half and pulled it apart and put the turkey meat, lettuce and bacon inside and ate it . The club came with ham also but I asked if I can get all Turkey bacause my wife can't eat ham . You would think they would put a little more turkey on the sandwich seeing how we didn't have the ham . I ordered the Italian sub which I also wanted it on a deli roll but mine was not all soggy and falling apart like hers . It's funny they didn't put a lot of mayo and lettuce like hers . I'm just really shocked on our bad experiences with them . I will not be returning .i will definitely be going to Jersey Mikes in the future . Who knows maybe it was just one of those days . It is a little too expensive for what we got . Two sandwiches cost us 31.23 . There is a ton of meat so you definitely feel like you're getting your money's worth, but it also made it harder to eat - we ended up taking off half the meat and saving it to make another sandwich tomorrow. I would prefer a half size if possible with half the meat. I also wish I could choose which kind of bread to have my sandwich on. We also got the Mmm Balls sliders and the meatballs are truly delicious. All in all, I definitely recommend and will return to Luvie's Deli. The only question is - why "See you in the funnies"? I've gotten Luvie's sandwiches several times now, and they are so delicious! We just ordered a Spicy Fisherman and a meatball sandwich via doordash. The dasher let us know we were getting a free 3rd sandwich because they were running low on Tuna salad. Our order arrived with the two sandwiches we orders plus another huge sandwhich with a nice hand written note stating: "Ran out of Tuna but I threw what I had left in the sand[wich]. I made you an additional sandwhich to try. Next sand[wich] is on me!" That is so awesome! Above and beyond customer service! This is a seriously awesome place for sandwiches, and I would argue the best anywhere in Santa Mara or Orcutt. read more

Went into Luvies a couple days ago to hop on my laptop, get some work done, and try one of their sandwiches. I ended up choosing the Latina as it sounded amazing when I read the toppings on the menu. When my order was ready I was pleasantly surprised on the sheer size of it and it's beauty. I had my doubts before ordering, but do not be mistaken, Luvies is the best sandwich spot on the Central Coast! For the price, it's amazing, for the freshness, it's amazing, for the taste, it's absolutely fantastic. The ambiance was pretty good too, the employees were moving fast and getting all the to-go orders out, as well as walk-ins. It ended up taking about 12-15 minutes to get my sandwich, and it was well worth it. One tip I have for anyone looking to try it out is to get a beer while waiting, they have their beer license!!!!!! read more
