My daughter's wedding gown was FILTHLY. To be completely honest, I didn't think her dress would ever get clean simply because the train was so black with dust and dirt. She didn't bustle it correctly and then took her very high heels off which caused the train to drag all night. She even had spray tan marks under the arms. The very next day, I brought the gown to Lux and assumed her $4,000 dress was ruined. The staff were AMAZING. From the moment I walked in, they welcomed me with a warm smile and confidence they could clean the dress. A little over 30 days after I dropped it off, I received a call that it was ready to be picked up. My stomach was in knots as I drove over to the shop. To my complete shock, the dress literally looked new again!! I couldn't believe it. Customer service is a 10, workmanship is a 10 and the cleanliness of this location is a 10! Some of my favorite clothes had holes in them and I thought there was no way to repair them successfully. The turnaround was fast, 3-5 business days, and I received a text letting me know they were ready. I dropped off on a Monday and was told they would all be ready by Friday afternoon. I received a text Thursday afternoon that they were ready early! I picked up Friday late morning, and was pleasantly surprised by the price I paid. I recall reading a review about someone being charged $30/piece... so I was prepared for sticker shock. However, I was charged a very reasonable amount. I would assume the price you pay depends on the item condition when you bring it in. Our items were in good condition after a single wear. Each item I was beautifully cleaned and pressed. I think we accidentally left the pocket square in the jacket pocket, and they *appear to have* cleaned and pressed that for us too! I have been going to this Cleaner for years as it's in my neighborhood. Very convenient. The recent owner/employees are nice and fast with their service. However my most latest visit has led me to believe they have increased their pricing beyond reasonable!! Without advanced notice, when I pick up the shirt that was only pressed, the charge was $18!! The reason being that it's a designer shirt so there's a surcharge for pressing!?!?! First of all, the shirt is standard (no special jewelry or sequences/decorations on the standard buttoned shirt except the designer label!! Second, they have failed to explain what are the extra work applied on this "expensive" shirt other than the standard press. Honestly, they have definitely gone too far with this. read more

It was my first time getting anything altered, so this was a great experience. White Skirt- Alterations: replace a zipper: $27.50 Dry Clean 2. Black cashmere winter long coat- $41.00 3. Chinese traditional quilted shirt- $27.50 4. Red Chinese traditional quilted blazer- $27.50 5. Child size wool coat with leather trim buttons- $46.50. Total bill- $170.
